Abstract

A plastic film has a valve welded to it to form the package. After making three folds the periphery is welded except for the two lips formed by pleated folds which will form the opening of the package, and the inner fold which is only partially welded. The product to be packaged is introduced and placed on a light expanded base. On inflation the two lips tighten and close the package. It enables the product to be displayed, while protecting it during transit.
