1. Menetelmä onttotiloja sisältävien solumuovi-levyjen tai -harkkojen jatkuvaksi valmistamiseksi, t u n-n e t t u s i i t ä, että joukko joustavasta, lämpö-plastisesta solumuovista tehtyjä onttoprofiileja (1), erityisesti putkia, sijoitetaan vierekkäin ja/tai päällekkäin ja hitsataan yhteen siten, että niitä kuljetetaan aina kahden viereisen putken väliin raon muodostavan laitteen (22) ja sen jälkeisen, raossa välimatkan päässä kummastakin putkesta sijaitsevan, lämmönlähteenä toimivan, sähköllä kuumenettavan lämpöjohtimen (21) ohi, joka sulattaa putkien vastakkaiset pinnat, jonka jälkeen putket painetaan yhteen.
2. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen menetelmä, t u n-n e t t u s i i t ä, että käytetään polyolefiinistä, edullisesti polyetyleenistä, varsinkin verkkoutumattomas-ta polyetyleenistä olevia solumuovisia onttoprofiileja.
