Abstract

The invention concerns a refrigerator unit, for example a refrigerating shelf or display case or deep-freeze shelf or display case 10, where the air circulation fan 19 is controlled in such a way that when the unit is covered during the times when the shop is closed, the fan is started up and stopped periodically according to a defined timetable which can be varied. This saves energy, and the goods stored in the refrigerator unit are protected from damage caused by excessive cooling. The timetable can be varied by regulating a temperature sensor 33 placed in the refrigerator unit. <IMAGE>
