Description

The present invention relates to an arrangement in a timber bank comprising a horizontal profile, post profiles extending upwards from its ends and at least one chain assembly connecting the ends of the post in its position of use, which retracts when not in use.

Such a timber bank is known, for example, from FI publication 45 428. The disadvantage here is that the chain assembly, when not in use, retracts into the post profile and causes unpleasant noise when swinging due to the movement of the vehicle, which may even prevent the driver from noticing

This disadvantage is eliminated by the arrangement according to the invention.

In Fig. 1, the horizontal profile 1 of the timber bank is indicated by the number 1, and from its ends extend upwards the post profiles 2 acting as side limiters of the load 2 71272, which may be further provided with extension parts 3.

In the embodiment shown, the right-hand post of Fig. 1 can be retracted when not in use.

As can be seen from Fig. 2, the lower end of the chain 4 is provided with a ring 7 so large that the chain cannot escape through the guide piece 8, as well as a ring 9 is placed at the free outer end of the chain near the lock loop 5, which prevents the chain from falling completely inside the post. Of course, the locking loop 5 can be so large that at the same time it serves the function of the ring 9, in which case this can be omitted.

It can be seen from Figure 2 that the post profile 3 is provided with an inner liner 10, which is (Figure 3) e.g. an initially circular tube which is pressed inside the post profile 3 to follow approximately the shapes of the latter.

The liner tube 10 is preferably some resilient and damping plastic or rubber material which, when hooked to the tie chain, prevents the chain from contacting the metal of the post profile wall and thus dampens excess noise.

The lining pipe 10, if the extension part 3 is short or there is no part 3 at all, can also extend into the area of the post profile 2 or correspondingly be placed completely inside it.

Furthermore, instead of the press connection, the liner tube 10 may be glued or riveted to the post profile and / or its extension.

Furthermore, the liner tube 10 may be separately extruded to closely follow the shapes of the inner surface of the post profile, or (Figure 4) it may be provided with longitudinal ridges 11 on its outer surface which keep the liner tube 10 itself apart from the post profile, thus further improving the damping capacity of the liner tube 1.
