Abstract

METHOD OF PREPARATION OF IRON POWDER MIXTURES CONTAINING MANGANESE SULFIDE. IT CONSISTS INTIMELY MIXING VERY FINE POWDER OF MANGANESE SULFIDE THAT HAS A PARTICLE SIZE LESS THAN 10 MM WITH IRON POWDER, IN THE PROPORTION OF 0.05-5% OF MANGANESE SULFIDE WITH RESPECT TO THE FINAL MIXTURE. TO THE MIXTURE, OTHER ELEMENTS MAY BE ADDED, SUCH AS COPPER, NICKEL, MOLYBDENUM, CHROME, CARBON, PHOSPHORUS AND SILICON. THESE MIXTURES HAVE APPLICATIONS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF SINTERED BODIES.
