Abstract

"MÉTODO DE OBTENCIÓN DE ALUMINA A PARTIR DE ARCILLAS Y ALUMINICOS EN GENERAL" caracterizado por el hecho de que se hace reaccionar arcilla o cualquier otro silicato alumínico con un compuesto de tipo sulfato, bisulfato, pirosulfato, tiosulfato, sulfito, fosfato, o fosfito de un metal alcalino o amónico; esta reacción se lleva a cabo por vía seca en un horno a temperatura comprendida entre 300 y 750ºC y durante un tiempo comprendido entre 45 y 120 minutos; el aluminio, que después de esta calcinación queda en forma de sal doble de aluminio-álcali o aluminio-amonio, se separa por disolución y posteriormente se precipita en forma de hidróxido alumínico que, por calcinación, nos conduce a la alúmina cristalizada.
