Abstract

Un método para la fabricación de epóxidos o glicoles a partir de olefinas, que comprende proporcionar una mezcla de reacción de una enzima halogenante, un agente oxidante y una fuente de ion haluro en un recipiente de reacción, introducir una olefina en dicho recipientes de reacción y mantener dicha olefina en contacto con dicha mezcla de reacción durante un periodo suficiente para convertir dicha olefina en una halohidrina, y convertir dicha halohidrina en un epóxido o glicol.
