Abstract
Procedimiento para la preparación de composiciones derivados de ácido 1,3-dioxo-1H-benz[d,e]isoquinolin-2(3H)-acético y sus sales farmacéuticamente aceptables, aptas mediante aplicación tópica para prevenir o aliviar complicaciones asociadas con diabetes mellitus constituidas por cataratas y retinopatías, caracterizado porque comprende una primera etapa en la que el ácido 1,3-dioxo-1H-benz[d,e]isoquinolin-2(3H)-acético se trata en fase acuosa con un alcalí hasta completar su disolución, se ajusta a continuación el pH a un valor alrededor de 6, se lleva la masa hasta una concentración entre 2,0 y 12,5% del citado ácido de partida y, el producto así obtenido y filtrado se trata, en una segunda etapa, con una proporción comprendida entre el 0,5 y el 1,5% de hidroxi-etilcelulosa, conteniendo la masa bajo elevada agitación hasta lograr la total estabilización de la composición, que finalmente se clasifica por filtración.
