Improvements in label applicators, for applying a label to an article, characterized in that the applicator comprises: a supporting structure means for releasably retaining the label in a preselected position; a manifold on the supporting structure, said manifold defining a chamber adapted to receive gas under pressure, said manifold having opening means to allow gas to escape into the chamber and to move towards said preselected position to remove the label from said position preselected and for applying the label to the article, a mask having orifice means therein and means for mounting said mask with said orifice means and said opening means being in partial alignment and masking said mask, part of said opening means by which said mask influences the configuration of the air model, which moves from said camera to said preselected position.
