Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un nuevo método y sistema de detección selectiva de defectos a tierra en cables de corriente continua que tienen sus pantallas conectadas a tierra en sus dos extremos.#Se identifica el cable que tiene un defecto a tierra al medir intensidad de defecto en los extremos de las dos pantallas del cable. Estas dos intensidades tienen polaridades contrarias si el cable no presenta fallo alguno. En cambio, si el cable tiene defecto, las dos intensidades tienen sentidos iguales. También se identifica el cable con defecto a tierra al medir y comparar las intensidades que circulan por los dos extremos de la pantalla del cable protegido.#Esta invención es capaz de discriminar entre las intensidades correspondientes a las maniobras de conexión de los cables protegidos y las correspondientes a los defectos a tierra de los mismos evitando así disparos erróneos o indebidos.The present invention relates to a new method and system for the selective detection of ground faults in DC cables that have their screens connected to the ground at both ends. # The cable that has a ground fault is identified by measuring the intensity of defect at the ends of the two cable screens.
