Abstract

Sistema de cierre de baterías de plomo-ácido para vehículos pesados que incorpora una tapeta que incluye, por un lado, un sistema de laberintos que dificultan la fuga de electrolito, dotándolo de una salida centralizada; y por otra, una pluralidad de tapones para los elementos de la batería, lo que permite un acceso único a varias celdas al mismo tiempo para conseguir el rellenado de las mismas simultáneamente. Estas características se combinan en una tapeta que queda enrasada al nivel de la tapa y que además está substancialmente aislada térmicamente del resto de la batería, con lo que se logra la condensación de los vapores emitidos, reduciendo a su vez la emisión de los mismos, y se facilita el retorno de los líquidos condensados al interior del elemento por la geometría especial de la pieza, todo lo cual redunda en una batería para vehículos pesados tales como camiones que puede considerarse de libre mantenimiento.
