Abstract

The multi-service (1) bed is designed to facilitate and improve the hygiene and cleanliness of patients who cannot fend for themselves and to enable one person to handle the patient without putting forth a great effort, or supporting mechanisms, and without having to move the patient, i.e. the patient may remain in the multi-service bed. To this end, the proposed system comprises a removable mattress (2) that rests on a rustproof base structure (3) with an open receptacle shape whereon the patient can be washed, which also incorporates legs (4) and means of evacuation (5) to enable the patient to have a bowel movement, and a form of disposing of the wastewater.

Description

MULTI-SERVICE BED

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention belongs to the medical-hospital equipment sector, especially to beds for chronic or convalescent patients.

The main object of the present invention is a multiservice bed designed to facilitate and improve the hygiene and cleanliness of patients who cannot fend for themselves, so that a single person manipulates the patient without great efforts, or auxiliary mechanisms, and without it is necessary to change it, that is, by keeping it in the bed of the invention.

For this, the proposed system comprises a removable mattress, which is supported by a stainless base structure, in the shape of an open container, on which to be able to wash the patient, which in turn incorporates evacuation means to allow the patient to evacuate directly, as well as a way to release dirty water from patient hygiene. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Currently, there are several procedures to carry out the necessary hygiene on disabled and sick people, who can not move, so that in all these procedures it is necessary to move the disabled person from the bed where he is usually bedridden to the place where It will be carried out after cleaning and personal hygiene, with the disorder and discomfort known, for the person being treated.

However, due to the weight and safety, in most cases the transfer is carried out through special cranes, which, due to its high cost, are only available to large clinics and hospitals, causing discomfort and obvious disorders to the patient, as noted above.

Another problem that arises in the care is that in most cases, people who care for disabled people have just forces to carry out the tasks of hygiene and cleaning, causing great fatigue and difficulty in those people, and consequent pain and suffering in the disabled person to meet their needs ..

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The multi-service bed object of the invention is a bed that carries means of comfort and functionality for the persons in charge of performing the cleaning and hygiene tasks of disabled persons, with the minimum inconvenience in the care being provided.

This bed is characterized in that a single person can take care of carrying out all the necessary cleaning and hygiene tasks that are required without transferring the patient. In addition, for its simplicity, this bed has the added advantage of being economical.

The multi-service bed comprises an easily removable mattress and a base structure, made of a stainless material, on which to be able to perform the hygiene and cleaning of the patient.

Once the patient has been undressed and the bedclothes have been removed, the pieces that form the mattress can be disassembled and removed by moving the patient alternately to one side and another, so that a single operator is enough to completely disassemble the mattress leaving the patient lying on the base structure, ready to help him perform the cleaning and hygiene tasks.

The base structure incorporates means of evacuation to collect dirty water and excrement when cleaning and hygiene of the handicapped is performed. Obviously, the equipment of the invention is complemented by means of storage of dirty water and excrement that being placed at the exit of the evacuation means allow them to be collected.

Once the cleaning and hygiene of the disabled person has been carried out, drying and cleaning and drying of the base structure is carried out, to finally close the evacuation means and proceed to place and reassemble the mattress parts and as well as the bedding, displacing the patient laterally, alternatively, inversely to how it was initially disassembled.

At this time the disabled person is once again resting on the mattress of the bed, having performed all the cleaning tasks.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the features of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical realization thereof, Figure 1 is attached as an integral part of said description. where, with an illustrative and non-limiting nature, a possible scheme of the multi-service bed has been represented in accordance with the present invention in which the main elements it incorporates are shown.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the aforementioned figure, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, an example of a preferred embodiment of the invention can be observed, which comprises the parts and elements indicated and described in detail below.

Thus, as shown in Figure 1, the multi-service bed (1) in question essentially comprises the following elements:

•

a removable mattress (2), and

•

a base structure (3), which in turn incorporates legs (4) to rise from the ground and evacuation means (5), to facilitate the discharge of dirty water and excrement.

Next, each of these elements is described in detail.

The removable mattress (2) can comprise a plurality of independent mattress elements (7), which in matrix form, with at least two elements (7) per row and column, can be removed by moving the patient alternately to one side and another, so that a single operator is enough to completely disassemble the mattress (2) finally leaving the patient lying on the base structure (3), ready to help him perform the cleaning and hygiene tasks.

The base structure (3) can be made of stainless steel, and can have an open container shape, with dimensions of a normal bed. Also, you can incorporate removable legs (4), to facilitate its transport.

The evacuation means (5) can comprise at least one trapdoor in the central area of the base structure (3), which can be opened allowing on the one hand to place the patient to evacuate without the need to stand up and on the other, serving as a drain �e of dirty water when cleaning and hygiene of the disabled. Also, the means of evacuation

(5) they can incorporate a protector (�) to place on the edge of the trapdoor and thus provide a back protection and avoid slipping.

Finally, the bed (1) object of the invention can additionally incorporate means for collecting dirty water and excrement that are placed at the exit of the evacuation means (4).

Claims (8)

1. Multiservice bed (1) for rest and grooming of individuals with reduced mobility characterized by:

•

 a removable mattress (2), comprising a plurality of independent mattress elements (7) that can be removed by moving the patient alternately to one side and another, and

•

 a base structure (3), in the shape of an open container, made of a stainless material, which houses the removable mattress (2) and incorporates legs (4) to rise from the ground and evacuation means (5) to allow evacuation of both their droppings, such as dirty water when cleaning and hygiene of the disabled.

 Multiservice bed (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that the plurality of independent mattress elements (7) are arranged in the form of a two-dimensional matrix, with at least two elements in each row and in each column.

 Multiservice bed (1) according to claim 1 characterized in that the base structure (3) has the dimensions of a standard bed.

These technical characteristics are already known from document D01 which describes a bed that allows the personal hygiene of patients without the need to lift them (page 1, lines 3-8) comprising a mattress consisting of six pieces distributed in 3 rows and 2 columns, so that the patient can be placed on one of the columns while the mattress pieces that form the other are removed and turned towards the area without mattress to remove the rest, and a base of plastic material with legs and open container shape, which collects the water and leads it to the holes located in it, under which a receptacle can be placed for collection. The base also has a trapdoor located in the center of the bed whose lid can be opened once the mattress is removed, which can be used as a toilet and through which the evacuation of dirty water is carried out through the hole located at the bottom (page 2, line 21-page 5, line 1; figures). Accordingly, claims 1-2, 5 and 7 are not new. The design features of dependent claims 3-4 and 6 are mere particular executions obvious to the person skilled in the art, and therefore are not considered to involve inventive activity.
