The present invention is related to "TOP ENTRY" type ball valves, proposing a device intended to perform the displacement in separation of the seats of said valves in order to leave free space necessary for the assembly and disassembly of the component elements  internal of them.

State of the art

"TOP ENTRY" ball valves they comprise a ball pierced by a hole, which is arranged inside a body, so that by turning it ball is established closing or passing communication between two opposite ducts of the valve body, including gaskets  pushed by seats, which establish the closure of necessary tightness on the ball, leaving it free of turn.

Maintenance operations, for example to replace the gaskets, they require disassembly of extraction of the ball, to be able to remove the joints, as well as the subsequent introduction of said elements in the realization of assembly, for which it is necessary to separate the pushing seats to the joints against the ball, in order to be able to extract e freely introduce the internal elements in said operations.

That separation of the seats, for the disassembly and assembly of the mentioned valves, it is solved currently by means of incorporation of a double cam on the axis of rotation of the ball, so that said double cam separate the seats by pressing on two points on them, in so much so that other embodiments are based on giving an inclination to  seats in the direction of assembly, so that the seats are assemble and disassemble by a joint movement with the ball.

These solutions belonging to the state of the art, however, present problems derived from their own nature, since the double cam system on the axis of the ball requires an auxiliary system for fixing the seats in the open position, in order to disassemble the ball. , while the system of assembly and disassembly of the seats together with the ball, could damage the joints and therefore in the assembly it is necessary to use an accessory tooling of
mounting.

Such known solutions require therefore both a large number of pieces, resulting in his accomplishments of a complexity of machining and adjustment that makes the product, while when the valves are of dimensions reduced, the application of such solutions is impracticable or It results in a very high cost.

Object of the invention

According to the invention, a device, by which it can be performed in a practical way and easy separation of ball valve seats mentioned, for the assembly and disassembly of the elements interior components of the mimes.

This device object of the invention consists of with two arms facing each other, with the fork-shaped end, which are attached to the respective parts relatively moving together from a hydraulic telescopic assembly that acts by means of an axial drive rod arranged in mounting screwed.

The hydraulic telescopic assembly consists of two  shirts that are axially coupled to each other in contrast, determining inside a chamber that is filled with a fluid hydraulic, such as oil, entering at one end of said set, with freedom of sliding through a step waterproof, a rod that at the outer end determines a head for rotating manipulation while in the chamber inside the telescopic assembly said rod is engaged in threaded relationship with respect to a fixed axis that extends axially from the other end of the camera.

This gives a device that allows you to vary  the separation of the facing arms, in an efficient way and controlled, by simply rotating rod drive that looks out through the end of the telescopic assembly, while with the fork-shaped ends of the arms it is possible to establish a push on the seats of the ball valves, for the separation of said seats in order leaving between them the space necessary for the passage of elements of the interior, allowing therefore to perform a simple and safe way to assemble and disassemble these valves

The structural formation of this device will makes simple and economical realization, while its Functional layout allows easy handling in the application of use, allowing the use for valves of different sizes with the same effectiveness.

The set drive rod Telescopic is axially hollow to the handling head, to through which it has a drain hole that seals by means of a screw and a joint, being able to fill the inner hydraulic chamber through that rod, which is provided for that purpose with a radial opening in the area extreme that is inside the hydraulic chamber.

Therefore, said device subject to the invention results from certainly advantageous features, acquiring own life and preferential character in the application of assembly and disassembly of the valves of the indicated type.

Description of the figures

Figure 1 shows a sectional view of the device of the invention, in the position of the arms approximate clashes.

Figure 3 is an application perspective of the device in relation to the disassembly assembly of a ball valve.

Detailed description of the invention

The object of the invention relates to a device designed to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of "TOP ENTRY" type ball valves, with which you can perform the necessary opening in a simple and practical way to free the access of exit and entrance of the elements components inside said valves.

The recommended device comprises a set  of two arms (1) facing each other, which determine one end free (2) in the form of a fork, while at the other end they are attached respectively to the moving parts of each other in a hydraulic telescopic assembly (3).

Said telescopic assembly (3) consists of two  shirts (3.1 and 3.2) that are axially coupled to each other in contraposition, determining inside a closed chamber (4) which is filled with a hydraulic fluid, such as oil.

At one end of the mentioned set telescopic (3) enters through a watertight sliding step (5) a stem (6), which at the end that is outside determines a head (7) for drive manipulation rotating it, while at the end that is in the inside is coupled in threaded relation with respect to a fixed axis (8) extending axially in the chamber (4) from the other extreme.

With this, when the rotation is performed rod (6), in the direction of its advance on the shaft (8), thanks to the threaded coupling between the two, an entry is produced progressive of said rod (6) in the chamber (4), whereby the hydraulic pressure inside increases and as a result  causes a thrust between the shirts (3.1 and 3.2), which due to said thrust they move axially in the direction of extension of the telescopic assembly (3), as seen in Figure 2.

In that relative displacement the shirts (3.1 and 3.2) carry with them the respective arms (1) found attached to them, whereby said arms (1) separate to greater distance from each other, so that the device behaves like a opening clamp, and can be used as such for the separation of moving elements or parts of susceptible mechanisms  from separation.

Accordingly, the device is susceptible of application to separate the seats (9) that operated by springs (10) push the seals (11) against the ball (12) in the ball valves type "TOP ENTRY", as seen in figures 3 and 4, in which it has been represented the mechanism of such a valve, without the housing or corresponding housing body.

In this application, using the arms (1) of the device can actuate the separation of the seats (9) in against the push springs (10), to leave between said seats (9) the space necessary for the free passage of the ball (12) and the joints (11), thus allowing to perform quickly and safely assembling and disassembling the valves mentioned, so that, when assembly is done, once placed the ball (12) and the seals (11) in position within the valve body, rotating the rod (6) of the device in the Direction of its advance in reverse, the hydraulic pressure is reduced in the chamber (4), whereby the shirts (3.1 and 3.2) can move in the direction of approach of the arms (1), the seats (9) being closed against the ball (12) thanks to the thrust of the docks (10).

The rod (6) of the device is axially hollow, having a drain hole through the head (7) (13) sealed by a screw (14) and a gasket (15), while on the limb that is inside the chamber hydraulic (4) said rod (6) has a radial opening (16), whereby through the stem itself (6) the introduction of hydraulic fluid to said chamber (4) to the functional arrangement of the device.

Claims (5)

1. Device for the assembly and disassembly of a ball valve, intended to separate the seats that press the gaskets against the ball of the valve, in order to leave the free space necessary to introduce and remove the ball and Sealing joints with respect to the inside of the valve body, characterized in that it comprises a telescopic assembly (3), on whose axially movable parts two arms (1) that are facing each other are incorporated, so that by extending and collecting said Telescopic assembly (3) correspondingly determines the separation and approximation of said arms (1), the telescopic assembly (3) comprising a hydraulic actuation arrangement, which is operated by manipulation by means of a rod (6) arranged in threaded mounting.

Device for the assembly and disassembly of a ball valve, according to the first claim, characterized in that the actuating rod (6) enters through one end of the telescopic assembly (3) through a sealed sliding passage (5) , determining at the outer end a head (7) for rotating manipulation, while at the inner end it is coupled in threaded mounting with respect to a fixed shaft (8) extending axially from the other end.

Device for the assembly and disassembly of a ball valve, according to the first and second claims, characterized in that the telescopic assembly (3) is composed of two axially coupled sleeves (3.1 and 3.2) in contrast with freedom of sliding between yes, determining inside a chamber (4) that is filled with a hydraulic fluid, such as oil, in which the inner end of the rod (6) moves as it moves forward or backward through its threaded coupling on the fixed axis ( 8).

Device for the assembly and disassembly of a ball valve, according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rod (6) is axially hollow, determining through the head (7) a drain hole (13) which is sealed with a screw (14) and a gasket (15), while at the end that remains in the hydraulic chamber (4) said rod (6) has a radial opening (16), the hydraulic fluid being able to be introduced through of the same.
5. Device for the assembly and disassembly of a ball valve, according to the first claim, characterized in that the facing arms (1) determine its free end (2) in the form of a fork, for acting on the seats (9) of a ball valve saving the corresponding ball (12) against which said seats push.
