Abstract

Automatic device (1) for mounting and disassembling a tire (100) on / from the rim (201) of a wheel (120) associated with a tire disassembly machine (100) comprising a lower base (101) on which they are associated with support and locking means (102) of the rim (201) of a wheel, a pillar (103) extending vertically associated with said base (101), a horizontal support arm (104) associated with said pillar ( 103), characterized in that it comprises a mobile shaft (2b) that can slide vertically inside a tube (2) supported in such a way that it can slide horizontally on said arm (104), an articulated system (3) comprising a quadrilateral articulated consisting of a tire disassembly tool (4) in which the tire disassembly tool (4) constitutes one of the sides of the articulated quadrilateral, a pair of opposite connecting rods (13, 14) and a body (6 ) in which said articulations are articulated connecting rods (13, 14), said body (6) being fixed to the lower end of the movable shaft (2b), and a maneuvering lever (7) articulated with said quadrilateral and suitable for deforming it in order to transmit the movement of Rotating translation to the tool (4) that goes from a positioning configuration to a configuration of extraction of the flange (202 '') of the rim (201).

Description

Automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires

The present invention relates to a automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires according to the preamble of claim 1.

More particularly, the present invention is refers to an automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires installed on tire disassembly machines, which allows the tire to be mounted on a one-wheel rim to cars and / or disassemble it.

As is known, to remove tires from the respective tires as well as performing the inverse operation, they use machines that comprise a rotating platform with an axis vertical equipped with a self-centering device to lock the tire, said tire presenting a support arranged on the same that supports a tire disassembly tool, which can be adjusted both in height and in the horizontal direction, suitable for cooperating with the edge, or flange, of the tire for push it under the rim of the tire and also remove it.

In prior art machines, said tool is arranged at the end of a support rod vertical that slides into an extreme seat of a horizontal arm with respect to which it can be set level.

The horizontal arm is in turn free to slide into the extreme seat of a vertical column that lifts from the base of the machine on the side of the platform that Receive the tire.

An arm of this type is equipped with suitable means to block the disassembly tool from tires in the desired position.

The tire disassembly operation provides the previous separation of the tire flange from the edge of Rim flange locking by means of a suitable device called tab opener, which can be separated from the machine disassemble tires

Once the tab has been separated, the complete wheel with the rim and the tire in the device self-centered and fixed.

The disassembly tool moves more next to the edge of the tire in which it is introduced under the tire tab and lift it over the edge of the tire tire.

The rotation of the platform and therefore of the wheel fixed on it allows the tire.

This disassembly operation requires the active intervention of a trained operator.

According to a solution known in the field and described in the document EP-A-1117920 of the same applicant and corresponding to the preamble of claim 1, the tool disassembly is associated with a drive head that can be placed level and can move horizontally, which can take a first form of configuration to position and fix the tire flange, and a second configuration to remove the tire tab from the tire. In addition, the means of support on which the tire is fixed move in one direction perpendicular to the axle to place the rim of the tire on the effective reach of the tool.

This solution, although it works very well, suffers of some inconveniences and disadvantages, both from the point of view of the constructive difficulty of the device itself as from the point of view of the versatility of operation.

In fact, in order to work with wheels of any diameter the support means must be moved  of the tire. Therefore, there is a great need to have of an automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires that operate without the help of some travel means associated with the means to support and block the wheel during assembly / disassembly operations.

Subordinately, the device must run automatically, be simple and quick to use, even for a user without a particular experience, present little constructive difficulty and can be used with machines disassemble prior art tires.

The objective of the present invention is to provide an automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires that have structural characteristics and functional such that meet the needs above mentioned and avoid the mentioned inconveniences at the same time with reference to the prior art, in the context of a simple and rational constructive solution.

An objective of this type is achieved through a automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires according to the claim 1.

The subordinate claims set forth briefly some preferred embodiments and particularly advantageous, of the automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires according to the invention.

Other features and advantages of the invention they will become clear from the reading of the following description provided by way of example and non-limiting, with the help of the figures illustrated in the attached drawings, in which:

- Figure 1 shows a side view of a automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires according to the present invention, installed in a disassembly machine tires;

- Figure 2 shows a front view of a detail of the device of figure 1;

- Figures 3 and 4 show a view in section of figure 2, respectively by plane III-III and plane IV-IV of the Figure 2, in the position to place the tire flange;

- Figures 5, 6 and 7 show, in succession, sectional views of the device of the present invention during the disassembly of a tire.

Referring to the figures above mentioned, they are generally designated by the number reference 1 an automatic device for mounting and dismounting tires according to the present invention.

Said device may be associated with a tire disassembly machine 100.

Said machines 100 are of the conventional type and therefore they will not be described in particular detail to continuation.

Machine 100 summarizes a base bottom 101 on which support means are associated and locking 102 of the rim 201 of a wheel 200 with a tire 202.

The support and blocking means 102 are suitable for rotating around a vertical axis of rotation Z-Z by actuating means of suitable motor, generally arranged inside the base lower 101, known per se and not represented.

A vertical column 103, associated in solidarity with the edge of the base 101, it rises from said base 101.

A support arm 104, which extends horizontally and is fixed at the upper end, it is associated with said column 103.

Said arm 104 is free to slide horizontally.

The device 1 of the present invention is associated with said support arm 104 at the distal end of the column 103.

The device 1 comprises a tube that is extends vertically along an X-X axis substantially parallel to the axis of rotation Z-Z and associated with the support arm 104.

Inside said tube is introduced a mobile shaft 2b that can slide between a separate position of the tire and a position close to the tire 201, when the latter is fixed in the support and blocking means 102.

In the example, the mobile tree 2b has a suitable prism shape to prevent it from rotating around the axis X-X

The mobile shaft 2b is controlled by means of media not shown in the figures.

An articulated system 3 comprising a disassembly tool 4 is associated with the free end lower of the mobile tree 2b.

Said articulated system 3 is operated by a cylinder and piston group 5 that produces a translation rotating disassembly tool 4 between a first configuration for positioning and fixing the tire flange 202 (Figures 3, 4 and 5) and a second configuration to extract said tab 202 'of rim 201 (figure 7).

In the example represented said system articulated 3 comprises an articulated quadrilateral composed of the tool 4, the connecting rods 13 and 14 and the body 6 in which the connecting rods 13, 14 are articulated, fixed in turn on the lower free end of the movable shaft 2b, and a maneuvering lever 7, whose function will be clearly revealed later in the description.

The cylinder and piston group 5 is arranged in the vicinity of the mobile tube / shaft group 2, 2b and extends substantially parallel to it.

Said cylinder and piston group 5 cooperates with the quadrilateral articulated by means of a gear comprising a first gear 8 sector and a second wheel sector toothed 9 that engage with each other, respectively integral with the lever 7 and the connecting rod 13.

The operating lever 7 has a first 7 'end articulated by a first articulation pin 10 to the lower end of the rod 5a of the cylinder and piston group 5 and a second end 7 '' mounted on a first axis of rotation eleven.

The first rotation shaft 11 is arranged perpendicular to the operating lever 7 with a rotation axis parallel to the axis of rotation around the first pin 10 and is introduced, free to rotate in a seat formed in a sleeve 12 fixed to body 6 arranged at the lower end of the tree mobile 2b.

According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first tree 11 supports the first sector of cogwheel 8 at the opposite end to the end on which it is mounted the operating lever 7.

In practice, in the first tree 11, the operating lever 7 is mounted on one side of sleeve 12 and on the other side of said sleeve 12 is mounted the first sector of cogwheel 8.

When the cylinder and piston group is operated 5, the movement of the stem 5a is transmitted to the lever of maneuver 7 that produces the rotation of the first shaft 11 introduced in sleeve 12, and therefore of the first wheel sector toothed 8.

The rotation of the second gear wheel sector 9 produces the rotation of the connecting rod 13.

The connecting rod 13 and the connecting rod 14 they are mounted respectively on a second axis of rotation 15 and A third axis of rotation.

Said second and third trees 15, 16, are arranged parallel to the first tree 11 and are introduced, free to turn, in two seats formed in body 6 that it comprises a tab guide 20, whose function will be described more forward, associated with sleeve 12 and which can be performed in a Only piece with it.

The disassembly tool 4 constitutes one of the sides of the articulated quadrilateral and presents an appendix 4a that forms an angle slightly greater than 90º with the longitudinal axis of the own connecting rod.

Appendix 4a of tool 4 presents a hook shape in order to allow to grip the tab 202 'of the 202 tire to be removed.

Under the particular configuration of the articulated system 3, the articulated quadrilateral and the first and the second cogwheel sectors 8, 9 are arranged substantially in a common plane parallel to the plane in which it is arranged the operating lever 7, as can be seen in the figures.

The tab guide 20 has the function of facilitate the placement of the disassembly tool 4 in the tab 202 'of the tire 202 to be removed, as well as, in by virtue of its particular configuration (see figure 2), of facilitate the operation of mounting the tire 202 on the rim 201.

Functionally, with the tab of the tire separated from the flange locking edge according to the prior art, the wheel 200 is placed in the support means and lock 102 that allow the rim 201 to be firmly fixed and, if is operated by means of motor, allow to rotate the 200 wheel around the Z-Z axis.

The tube 2 with the inner moving shaft 2b is arranged at a distance from column 103 such that it allows check the layout of the disassembly tool 4 tires on the vertical edge of the rim 201.

With the support arm 104 fixed, it is done slide the movable shaft 2b vertically towards the edge of the rim 201 and is fixed when tab guide 20 passes slightly the rim of the rim 201 without touching it, to avoid the possible deterioration, even of the elastic type.

Thanks to device 1 of this invention, by driving the piston and cylinder group 5, the rod 5a produces the oscillation of the operating lever 7 around the axis of the first tree 11.

The rotation of lever 7 and the first sector cogwheel 8 produces the rotation of the second wheel sector toothed 9 since they are meshed together.

The rotation of the second gear wheel sector 9 in turn produces the rotation of the associated connecting rod 13 in solidarity with it and the consequent deformation of the articulated quadrilateral that transmits the translational movement rotating to the tire removal tool 4, 4a that goes from the positioning configuration (figures 3, 4) to the extraction configuration (figure 7) after fixing the tab 202 'of tire 202.

In practice, when the stem 5a of the group of cylinder and piston 5 moves down, the first sector of cogwheel 8 rotates counterclockwise while the second gear wheel sector 9 rotates in the direction schedule.

This produces the penetration of the tool tire disassembly 4 inside the tire 202 and the hitch of tab 201 '(figure 5), laterally passing the rim edge 201.

When the rod 5a of the cylinder group and piston 5 reverses its movement upwards, the movements described above occur similarly in the sense contrary.

Therefore, said rod moves from the configuration of figure 5 to the configuration of figure 6 and finally to the configuration of figure 7.

In order to avoid the generation of tension in the tire 202 such that it deteriorates if it is excessive, at the end of the extraction of the flange 202 'of the tire 201, the hook-shaped appendix 4a of the tool 4 is preferably, together with the tab 202 'fixed thereto, inside the outermost circumference that surrounds the rim 201.

To complete tire extraction 202 of the rim 201 are operated as is known in the sector the support and blocking means 102.

The use of tab guide 20 to mounting the tire 202 on the rim 201 is not described to continuation since it is already known in the sector.

As can be seen from the Description above, the automatic device for mounting and disassembling tires according to the present invention allows to satisfy the requirements and overcome the drawbacks mentioned in the part introduction of the present invention with reference to the technique previous.

In fact, the automatic device for mounting and disassembling tires of the present invention is extremely easy to use as well as effective in the operations carried out, controlling the execution of all the operations necessary to the assembly / disassembly of tires, reducing the actions of operator to a minimum.

In addition, said automatic device for mounting and tire disassembly can also be applied to machines dismantling of conventional tires without the need for large modifications.

Of course, a subject matter expert can provide numerous modifications and variants to the device automatic for mounting and dismounting tires described previously in order to meet contingent needs and individuals, all of which are within the scope of protection of the invention, as defined by the following claims.

Claims (10)

1. Automatic device (1) for mounting and disassembling a tire (100) on / from the rim (201) of a wheel (120) associated with a tire disassembly machine (100) comprising a lower base (101) on the which are associated with support and locking means (102) of the rim (201) of a wheel, a pillar (103) extending vertically associated with said base (101), a horizontal support arm (104) associated with said pillar (103), characterized in that it comprises a mobile shaft (2b) that can slide vertically inside a tube (2) supported in such a way that it can slide horizontally in said arm (104), an articulated system (3) comprising an articulated quadrilateral composed of a tire disassembly tool (4) in which the tire disassembly tool (4) constitutes one of the sides of the articulated quadrilateral, a pair of opposite connecting rods (13, 14) and a body (6) in which dic are articulated hos connecting rods (13, 14), said body (6) being fixed to the lower end of the movable shaft (2b), and a maneuvering lever (7) articulated with said quadrilateral and suitable for deforming it in order to transmit the movement of rotational translation to the tool (4) that goes from a positioning configuration to a configuration of extraction of the flange (202 ') of the rim (201).
2. Device (1) according to claim 1, in which said operating lever (7) cooperates in contact with said articulated quadrilateral by means of a gear comprising a first gear wheel sector (8) and a second wheel sector toothed (9) meshed together.
3. Device (1) according to claim 2, in which said operating lever (7) is operated by a group of cylinder and piston (5).
4. Device (1) according to claim 3, in which said maneuvering lever (7) has a first end (7 ') articulated by a first articulation pin (10) in the rod end (5a) of said cylinder and piston group (5) and a second end (7 '') mounted on a first rotation shaft (eleven).
5. Device (1) according to claim 4, in which said first gearwheel sector (8) is mounted on said first rotation shaft (11).
6. Device (1) according to claim 2, in which said connecting rods (13, 14) are mounted respectively in a second rotation tree (15) and a third rotation tree (16).
7. Device (1) according to claim 6, in which said second gear wheel sector (9) is mounted on said second rotation shaft (15).
