Abstract

Un aparato para conformar una preforma tubular metálica en forma de miembro tubular metálico alargado que tiene una sección transversal sustancialmente en forma de caja a lo largo de una extensión del mismo, comprendiendo dicho aparato: un conjunto (10) de molde, que comprende una estructura (12) de molde superior móvil, y una segunda estructura (14, 16) de molde; siendo dichas estructuras (12, 14, 16) de molde cooperantes para definir una cavidad (52) de molde que tiene una configuración en sección transversal en forma de caja cerrada; unas estructuras (26, 28) de afianzamiento situadas en los extremos opuestos de dicha cavidad (52) de molde, y construidas y dispuestas para afianzar, de manera segura, porciones separadas de la preforma (40) tubular metálica, presentando dichas estructuras (26, 28) de afianzamiento superficies (34, 36) de afianzamiento que definen una configuración superficial oval en general, que es conforme con una superficie periférica externa genéricamente oval de la preforma (40) tubular metálica, y una estructura de enganche de extremo de tubo, construida y dispuesta para enganchar y sellar sustancialmente los extremos opuestos de la preforma (40) tubular metálica, presentando la citada estructura de enganche de extremo de tubo una configuración superficial externa genéricamente oval que se ajusta a la superficie periférica interna genéricamente oval de la preforma tubular metálica, que se caracteriza porque dicha segunda estructura de molde comprende una estructura (14) de molde inferior móvil, y una estructura (16) de molde fija, teniendo la citada estructura (14) de molde inferior móvil una abertura (42), y siendo la estructura (16) de molde fija recibida en el interior de dicha abertura (42), con lo que el movimiento relativo entre dicha estructura (12) de molde superior móvil hacia su enganche con la citada segunda estructura (14, 16) de molde cierra dicha cavidad (52) de molde, y una vez que dicha cavidad (52) de molde se ha cerrado, el movimientode dicha estructura (12) de molde superior móvil con respecto a la citada estructura (16) de molde fija, reduce progresivamente el área en sección transversal de la citada cavidad (52) de molde.
