Abstract

El procedimiento parte de la utilización de madera como precursor vegetal, a la que se somete una primera fase de secado a 70° C, durante 24 horas si se trata de madera preparada para uso industrial o durante 72 horas si se trata de madera recién cortada, tras el secado se somete a una fase de pirólisis, a una velocidad de calentamiento comprendida entre 0''5 y 2° C por minuto hasta temperaturas superiores a 600° C y un posterior enfriamiento a una temperatura comprendida entre 1 y 5° C, y finalmente se efectúa un proceso de infiltración con silicio de alta pureza, infiltración realizada a una temperatura comprendida entre 1.410° C y 1600° C, con presiones inferiores a 10-3 Torr.
