Abstract

Un aparato para interrogar ópticamente a una mezcla de reacción contenida en un vaso de reacción que tiene paredes de transmisión óptica primera y segunda, comprendiendo el aparato: a) una ranura para recibir el vaso; y b) conjuntos ópticos primero y segundo situados de tal modo que cuando se pone el vaso en la ranura, los conjuntos ópticos primero y segundo están en comunicación óptica con las paredes de transmisión óptica primera y segunda de las paredes del vaso, respectivamente; en que el primer conjunto óptico comprende: i) un primer alojamiento que tiene una primera ventana óptica; ii) al menos dos manantiales de luz para transmitir haces de excitación a la mezcla de reacción a través de la primera ventana; y iii)un primer juego de filtros para filtrar los haces de excitación de tal modo que cada uno de los haces tenga un margen de longitudes de onda de excitación sustancialmente distinto, en el que los manantiales de luz yel primer juego de filtros están fijados rígidamente al primer alojamiento; y en el que el segundo conjunto óptico comprende: i) un segundo alojamiento que tiene una segunda ventana óptica para recibir la luz emitida desde la mezcla; ii) al menos dos detectores para detectar la luz emitida; y iii)un segundo juego de filtros para separar la luz emitida en al menos dos márgenes de longitudes de onda de emisión y para dirigir la luz emitida en cada uno de los márgenes de longitudes de onda de emisión a uno respectivo de los detectores, en el que los detectores y el segundo juego de filtros están fijados rígidamente en el segundo alojamiento.
