Procedimiento para el referenciado o registro de un paciente o de una parte corporal de un paciente, en un sistema médico de navegación asistido por cámara con las siguientes fases: - la parte corporal del paciente a referenciar se lleva a la zona de detección de un sistema de navegación asistido por al menos dos cámaras (5, 6), el cual registra, asistido por ordenador, las posiciones espaciales tridimensionales de marcaciones luminosas (3), -mediante un rayo de luz(2)de un foco de luz manual (1), que no es seguido posicionalmente por medio del sistema de navegación, se producen en la superficie de la parte corporal a referenciar marcaciones luminosas (3) cuya posición tridimensional es determinada por solamente las cámaras existentes del sistema de navegación asistido por cámara, - mediante los datos de posición para las marcaciones luminosas (3) se determina la posición espacial de la superficie de la parte corporal a referenciar.
