Abstract

Articulated, Radio-ulna, Distal Implant, for substitution of the triangular ligament.It consists of two stems: one that is implanted in the ulna (2) and another to be implanted in the Radio (1). These are inter-joined where the heads join (1b and 2c), maintaining the ulna in its natural position and allowing the forearm to move.To anchor the radial stem (1) to the bone there is a metric helical thread (1a) that is fixed along the outside face of the Radio using a fixing nut (4).To anchor the ulna stem (2) to the bone there is a Whitworth helical thread (2a) and a conical point (2b).The implant also has a separation counter nut (3), designed to allow regulating the distance between the two bones, to better adapt to the patient.
