Abstract

Vertical hot water tubes (50), in modular cases (10), are connected via short horizontal pipe sections (101, 102) to corresponding parts of adjacent modules. Heat dissipation is aided by vertical fins and face-plates (2). For the proposed application, an opening (5) is made in the module base, normally closed, allowing an elongated heat storage element (20), also of pressure die-cast alloy, closely fitting the tube interior, to be slid in from below. The element embodies a heating resistance, bent into a hair-pin, with terminal wiring (6), protruding at the base, connected to bus-wires running within a protective trough (60) along to a mains-connected regulating unit (30).
