Abstract

Cement is dispersed in a given amount of dosed water under controlled temperature conditions, ensuring all the gypsum is hydrated and no gypsum crystals are left. The paste is then discharged under controlled temperature, vibration and vacuum conditions into a hopper supplying a pulsing pump. A method for preparing a fine moldable paste comprises dispersion of cement in a given dosed volume of water, under controlled temperature conditions and over a period of time sufficient for all the gypsum in the cement to become hydrated and any gypsum crystals to be destroyed, which would provide a false indication of the cement having set. The paste is emptied, again under controlled temperature, vibration and vacuum conditions, into a hopper for supplying the mixture to a pulsing pump used to transport the paste to a user station.
