Abstract
The motorcycle, shown in Figure 2, has two rear wheels and may be lent over by the rider in order to describe a curve (take a bend), the rear wheels doing so to the same extent as the motorcycle. Its fundamental element is the suspension differential which is a mechanism composed of an arm, whose lower part is articulated to the chassis of the motorcycle, and the upper part to the spring/damper assembly, a toothed wheel being articulated to said arm and able to rotate with respect to it, said toothed wheel meshing with the planetary gears which receive the movement of the tilting devices of the rear wheels via toothed wheels. The suspension differential has not only a suspension function but also coordinates the tilting devices of the rear wheels when the motorcycle is lent over in order to describe a curve.
