Abstract

It has a multichannel GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver 2 which automatically synchronises with all the satellites in view, calculating its position and velocities in the three axes from the data arriving from the satellites being of special application in aerial, maritime or land-based vehicles. The multichannel GPS receiver 2 is connected to a processor 4 which gathers the data from the multichannel GPS receiver 2 and which, furthermore, its data bus 8 is connected via a data decompressor 11 to a mass storage 9 and 10 for "ranging" of the data corresponding to the map of the zone through which it is going to travel it being provided that the processor 4 is connected, furthermore, to a graphic screen 12 all of this in order to represent the corresponding map with altitude or depth readings and the position of the vehicle on the map, as well as its displacement relative to same, giving warning of possible collisions with obstacles along the route. The data bus 8, which can be connected to a data input interface 14 and to a data output interface 19 in order to hook up various external systems available in the vehicle in order to boost the performance.
