Abstract

A household appliance, eg a washing machine, incorporates a cabinet-like housing with a housing bottom, adjustable feet and a two-axle moving mechanism for the moving of the appliance below the level of the support surfaces of the feet when the appliance is out of operation. The adjusting feet are fastened to the housing bottom and the moving mechanism is mounted, via its axes, in sliding blocks connected to the bottom diagonally in relation to the bottom level. The moving mechanism has two end positions and a drawing device adjoining the mechanism enables the end position to be set. ADVANTAGE - The moving device is cheap to make and the two functions - 'operating position' and 'travelling position' are set securely.
