Abstract

RADAR AND FIBER OPTICAL MISSILE GUIDE SYSTEM (10) INCLUDING A RADAR RECEIVER (12) ARRANGED IN A MISSILE TO RECEIVE RADAR REFLECTIONS AND TO PROVIDE IN RESPONSE TO THESE REFLECTIONS A FIRST OPTICAL SIGNAL. AN OPTICAL RECEIVER (14) IS MOUNTED ON A LAUNCH DEVICE TO RECEIVE THE FIRST OPTICAL SIGNAL AND TO PROVIDE IN RESPONSE TO THIS SIGNAL A SERIES OF ELECTRICAL SIGNALS. A FIBER OPTIC LINK (32) IS CONNECTED BETWEEN THE MISSILE AND THE LAUNCH DEVICE TO COMMUNICATE THE FIRST OPTICAL SIGNAL FROM THE RADAR RECEIVER (12) TO THE OPTICAL RECEIVER (14).
