Abstract

A carrying tray, particularly suitable for fruit and horticultural fruits, consisting of a bottom part and a lid, which have a rectangular base and a rectangular top with chamfers in the region of two corners with one common side, it being possible for the bottom part to be closed by the lid by means of a pivoting movement about a hinge and by means of snap fasteners on the contact planes on the chamfers located opposite the hinge, and hollow ribs passing through the edges of the base and of the top, which ribs extend at least over a part of the base or of the top also in different lengths and with gaps which permit air to pass through in the direction of openings on the base and on the top, and the hinge consisting of a rib in which two grooves are provided, whose depths and widths decrease until they assume the value zero near to the top parts of the rib.
