Abstract

PURPOSE: To change coefficient of friction, improve in heat release and abrasion and manufacture favorably by arranging a plurality of emboss segments in a ring-like manner on the outward surface of a cover pre-formed with powdered metal and sintering with another piece of material being put thereon. CONSTITUTION: Between a pair of covers 12, 14 pinching inside and outside brake washers and wavy washer, in the chamfers of the perimeter rims 12a, 14a of the cover 12, tightening band is caulked and assembled. When this cover 12 is in use, on the conflicting outside surface 26, a plurality of emboss segments 32 are isolated by a non-protruberant district extending radially and arranged in a ring-like manner. Furthermore, powdered metal is put in a mold having the shape of the cover 12 and pressed to be pre-formed and a different kind of material piece is placed on the segment thereof and sintered to partially obtain a desired coefficient of friction. Accordingly, improvement in heat release and abrasion can be achieved and the product can be manufactured favorably.
