Description

SAFE GLOVE RELEASE SYSTEM
Technical field
[0001] The application relates to an automated glove removal device for removing gloves from users’ hands in a hygienic and efficient manner.
Background
[0002] Gloves play an important defense mechanism to prevent contamination in multiple sectors. The list of industries requiring gloves includes but not limited to the healthcare, municipality, food industry, R&D labs, industrial establishments dealing in manual processing of items, packaging industry which include manual intervention, animal husbandry, veterinary, to name a few. In healthcare sector, gloves are donned particularly by medical practitioners, surgeons, nurses, ward boys or other healthcare workers. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, it was found that there is no safe mechanism through which the hand glove can be removed after use in a safe way through which it is possible to ensure avoiding exposure and infection with microbes and infectious diseases.
[0003] Multiple devices for this purpose have been proposed, while these devices fulfill their respective, particular objective and requirements.
[0004] In this respect, the automated glove removal device offers several advantages over conventional methods of glove removal. These include an efficient and hygienic removal of gloves without causing damage or tearing, proper sanitization through exposure to UV-C light and sanitizer, convenient disposal of used gloves within a built-in trash can, adjustable settings for rotation speed and sanitization preferences and enhanced safety features for user protection.
[0005] Therefore, it can be appreciated that there exists a continuing need for a new and improved glove removal and disposal device which can be used for facilitating a sanitary removal of a latex glove from a hand. In this regard, the present invention substantially fulfills this need. Summary of invention
[0006] The device of current invention is an automated glove removal device provides an innovative solution for removing gloves from users’ hands in a hygienic and efficient manner. The device incorporates a rotating double hook mechanism, which is motor- driven, to facilitate glove removal. Furthermore, it includes a sanitization system comprising a VR lamp and sanitizer to ensure the hooks are properly disinfected before disposal.
[0007] The device of current invention comprises a motor-driven rotating double hook mechanism that securely grips the gloves during the removal process. The hooks rotate in opposite directions to facilitate easy glove removal without causing any damage or tearing. The rotation speed can be adjusted according to user preferences or specific glove types.
[0008] The device of current invention incorporates a sanitization system to maintain optimal hygiene standards consisting of a VR lamp and sanitizer. After each use, the gloves are exposed to UV-C light emitted by the VR lamp, which effectively kills bacteria and viruses present on their surfaces. Additionally, a sanitizer is applied to further disinfect the rotating hooks.
[0009] The device of current invention features a motor driven opening door that allows users to conveniently dispose of used gloves within its built-in trash can compartment. The door is designed to prevent any contamination from escaping during disposal while ensuring ease of use.
[0010] A process to utilize the automated glove removal device, users simply insert their gloved hands into the designated glove removal area. A highly sensitive sensor detects the gloved hand. Once the sensor identifies the gloves, it triggers a mechanism that initiates the motor-driven rotating double hook mechanism, gently removing the gloves from the user's hands. Once removed, the gloves then being disposed of through a motor driven opening door into the built-in trash can. [0011 ] The process of removing the gloves mainly depends on a motor comes into action and starts rotating the double hook. This rotation ensures gloves removal and that all surfaces of the hook are thoroughly sanitized. To achieve this, a sanitizing liquid is introduced into the system through a tube. The liquid flows through the tube and reaches a pump, which then sprays it onto the rotating hook.
[0012] According to the process of current invention, a VR (Ultraviolet) lamp is incorporated within the device to enhance sanitation further. As the hook rotates inside the device, it passes through this lamp’s emitted UV light, which has proven germicidal properties. The combination of sanitizing liquid and UV light guarantees thorough disinfection of both visible and invisible contaminants on the hook's surface.
