  • To make technical problems to be resolved, technical solutions, and beneficial technical effects of this application clearer and more comprehensible, this application is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and a plurality of exemplary embodiments.
  • It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely used to explain the principles of this application but are not used to limit the protection scope of this application. In the accompanying drawings of this application, features with a same structure or similar functions are indicated by a same reference numeral.
  • FIG. 1 to FIG. 5 all show a household appliance according to an embodiment of this application by using a laundry treatment device as an example. A technical concept of this application is also described below with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 5 by using the laundry treatment device as an example. Therefore, although the household appliance according to this embodiment of this application is described below with reference to the laundry treatment device for the purpose of brevity, it may be understood that the features and technical effects described with reference to the laundry treatment device can also be applicable to a household appliance implemented as another device, such as a refrigerator, within the protection scope of this application.
  • As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application includes a housing 1. The housing 1 has a front surface 10, and a receiving space 11 recessed inwardly is provided on the front surface 10 of the housing 1. The receiving space 11 is provided with an opening that can serve as a laundry loading port. Laundry can be placed into a laundry treatment space of the laundry treatment device through the laundry loading port. The laundry treatment device further includes a door 2. The door 2 is connected to the housing 1 and is used for opening or closing the laundry loading port. In particular, the door 2 can be configured to be at least partially received in the receiving space 11.
  • As shown in FIG. 4, the laundry treatment device further includes a light-emitting unit 3. The light-emitting unit is configured to generate light projected toward the receiving space 11, where the light can form a light effect along the circumferential edge of the door 2.
  • Therefore, when the door 2 is at least partially received in the receiving space 11 (for example, closed), there is a vacant space between the door 2 and a part of the housing 1 that defines the receiving space 11, and the light generated by the light-emitting unit 3 can propagate in the vacant space and be emitted outward, to form the light effect along the circumferential edge of the door 2. In addition, the receiving space 11 recessed inwardly can utilize the depth of the laundry treatment device in a front-rear direction to arrange a space for light propagation, so that the space for light propagation can be arranged without affecting or reducing the dimension of the laundry loading port of the laundry treatment device.
  • Herein, the light effect formed along the circumferential edge of the door 2 may include a light effect formed outside the circumferential edge of the door 2 or a light effect formed inside the circumferential edge of the door 2, or a combination of the two. In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 4, the housing 1 may have a recessed portion 111 defining the receiving space 11. When the door 2 is at least partially received in the receiving space 11, a gap 112 is formed between the circumferential edge of the recessed portion 111 and the circumferential edge of the door 2, and the light is emergent from the gap. Therefore, the light effect can be formed outside the circumferential edge of the door 2, that is, the light is emergent from the laundry treatment device without passing through the door 2. When standing right in front of the laundry treatment device, a user can observe a ring of light formed along the circumferential edge of the door 2. When standing at another inclined position deviating from the position, the user can observe at least part of the ring of light.
  • Currently, in conventional laundry treatment devices, the light and the effect are discreet, mostly located at the inner side of a door ring behind a door mask of the laundry treatment device. This forms an annular light effect of a small width, and even makes the light effect less noticeable due to reflection of the door mask. According to this embodiment of this application, the receiving space recessed inwardly and a corresponding housing part can be used to receive the light and guide the light toward the gap 112 for emission, thereby providing a clearer and more obvious visual effect than conventional products.
  • In addition, the formed gap 112 can help the user to extend a hand into the gap to operate a door switch, thereby improving convenience of operations performed by the user.
  • In some optional embodiments, the light-emitting unit 3 may be implemented as a strip structure having a plurality of light-emitting bodies. In this case, the light-emitting unit 3 can be preferably formed into an annular strip structure, which preferably has a plurality of light-emitting bodies distributed at equal intervals, thereby forming an annular light effect, that is, the light effect is formed into the ring of light along the circumferential edge of the door 2. This embodiment of this application is not limited thereto. A required light effect can be obtained by adjusting at least one of the form and number of light-emitting units 3 and the number, spacing, luminance, and light emitting color of the light-emitting bodies.
  • Preferably, the door 2 can be configured to be received in the receiving space 11, so that a front surface 20 of the door and the front surface 10 of the housing are substantially flush. The flush design can optimize the laundry treatment device in terms of appearance and space utilization. Conventional laundry treatment devices usually use a conventional door design, that is, a part of the door projects out of the front surface of the housing. Consequently, the conventional laundry treatment devices usually have a problem that the door is excessively large and is inharmonious with the body of the laundry treatment device. As consumers show a growing preference for a style of built-in household appliances, conventional laundry treatment devices struggle to satisfy consumer demands in terms of space occupation or aesthetics. The laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application can achieve a flush effect on a front surface of the laundry treatment device and superpose a corresponding light effect, so that the laundry treatment device can better meet dual requirements of consumers for aesthetics and functionality of a household appliance, thereby improving applicability of the laundry treatment device in a modern household environment.
  • Preferably, the light-emitting unit 3 may be arranged on the inner side of the door 2, for example, surrounding the inner side of the door 2, such as being arranged on a frame of a fixed glass bowl (not shown in the figure) of the door 2. This facilitates arrangement of the light-emitting unit 3. In this case, when the door 2 is at least partially received in the receiving space 11 (for example, closed), the light-emitting unit 3 may be located in the receiving space 11 (as shown in the figure), or may be located out of the receiving space 11, but the light generated by the light-emitting unit 3 is mainly projected backward into the receiving space 11.
  • In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 4, the laundry treatment device may further include a light guide unit 4 for the light-emitting unit 3. The light guide unit may be configured to be located in the receiving space 11 when the door 2 is at least partially received in the receiving space 11, so that the light is softened before being emergent from the receiving space 11. In this way, the user can observe a soft light effect.
  • Compared with a scale range of the part of the housing 1 that defines the receiving space 11, for example, a scale range of the recessed portion 111, the dimension of the light-emitting unit 3 is much smaller, so that the light-emitting unit 3 tends to be understood as a point light source.
  • Therefore, through light processing performed by the light guide unit 4, the light projected toward the large receiving space 11 can form a large-area diffuse light effect. A large-area light effect can support richer light effect changes. In particular, the light guide unit 4 can be configured to enable the light to be softened before entering the receiving space 11. In some embodiments, the light guide unit 4 may include a light scattering portion 41 which surrounds the light-emitting unit 3 in the light emitting direction of the light-emitting unit 3 and allows the light to pass through. Through the light scattering portion 41, the light generated and emitted by the light-emitting unit 3 can be evenly projected toward the receiving space 11. The shape, material, position, and the like of the light scattering portion 41 can be set based on a required light effect. Preferably, the light scattering portion 41 may be implemented as an arc-shaped cover that curves in a direction away from the light-emitting unit 3. Such an arc-shaped structure can effectively disperse the light, so that the light is softened before entering the receiving space 11, thereby facilitating achieving a soft light effect along the circumferential edge of the door 2. For example, the light scattering portion 41 may be an arc-shaped glass cover or an arc-shaped plastic cover. The light scattering portion 41 may also be made of a flexible material for ease of installation. For example, the light scattering portion 41 may be made of light guiding material, for example, is implemented as a diffuser plate. Parameters of the light scattering portion 41 (for example, a light diffusing angle of the diffuser plate) can be adjusted to achieve a required diffuse light effect.
  • Preferably, the light scattering portion 41 may be arranged on the inner side of the door 2. Additionally or alternatively, the door 2 may include a mounting frame 21, the mounting frame 21 and the light scattering portion 41 can together define a mounting space 22, and the light-emitting unit 3 may be arranged on the mounting frame 21 and be located in the mounting space 22. In this case, the light emitted from the light-emitting unit 3 propagates in the mounting space 22, and is emitted through the light scattering portion 41. When the door 2 is at least partially received in the receiving space 11 (for example, closed), the light scattering portion 41 separates the mounting space 22 and the receiving space 11, and the light emitted through the light scattering portion 41 is projected toward the receiving space 11.
  • Therefore, fixing of the light-emitting unit 3 and fixing of the light scattering portion 41 can be easily implemented by using the mounting frame 21. In addition, the light scattering portion 41 can also be used to provide insulation protection for the light-emitting unit 3.
  • In some embodiments, the light-emitting unit 3 may be arranged at a horizontal part of the mounting frame 21 as shown in FIG. 4. However, in some other embodiments, the light-emitting unit 3 may alternatively be arranged at a vertical part of the mounting frame 21. In some particular embodiments, the light-emitting units 3 may be respectively disposed at a plurality of different parts of the mounting frame 21, for example, the horizontal part and the vertical part.
  • In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 4, the light guide unit 4 may further include a first reflecting portion 42 and a second reflecting portion 43. When the door 2 is received in the receiving space 11, the first reflecting portion 42 and the second reflecting portion 43 are located in the receiving space 11 and are opposite to each other, so that the light projected toward the receiving space 11 can be reflected at the first reflecting portion 42 and the second reflecting portion 43 until the light is emergent from the receiving space 11. By disposing the first reflecting portion 42 and the second reflecting portion 43, the light can be directionally guided to a light outlet position of the receiving space 11, for example, the gap 112, to form the light effect. Because the front surface 20 of the door 2 and the front surface 10 of the housing 1 can be substantially flush, the light-emitting unit 3 is positioned further rearward relative to the light outlet position (including the gap 112 and/or the front (for example, the mask) of the door 2) along the front-rear direction of the laundry treatment device. Therefore, disposition of the first reflecting portion 42 and the second reflecting portion 43 can provide a light propagation path for the light in the receiving space 11 to reach the light outlet position.
  • Preferably, the light is diffusely reflected at the first reflecting portion 42 and is specularly reflected at the second reflecting portion 43. Herein, the first reflecting portion 42 is particularly a light outlet position facing toward the receiving space 11, such as the gap 112, and the second reflecting portion 43 is particularly a light outlet position facing away from the receiving space 11, such as the gap 112. Through diffuse reflection, the light can form the large-area diffuse light effect, and through specular reflection, an intensity loss of the light at the second reflecting portion 43 can be reduced. Therefore, such a design can provide a soft and clear light effect. Therefore, the first reflecting portion 42 may be particularly formed by a matte surface, to facilitate the diffuse reflection of the light. Additionally or alternatively, the second reflecting portion 43 may be particularly formed by a glossy surface, to implement the specular reflection of the light.
  • Further preferably, the first reflecting portion 42 may be arranged on the recessed portion 111 defining the receiving space 11 on the front surface 10 of the housing or form a part of the recessed portion. This can facilitate implementation of the first reflecting portion 42. In this case, the first reflecting portion 42 formed by the matte surface can be formed by performing a surface matte finish on at least part of the recessed portion 111. Although FIG. 4 shows that an outer surface of the recessed portion 111 is provided with or forms the first reflecting portion 42, in some other embodiments, the first reflecting portion 42 may cover only part of the outer surface of the recessed portion 111, particularly the part that is higher than the horizontal part of the mounting frame 21 in which the light-emitting unit 3 is disposed or the part of the light-emitting unit 3 itself in the horizontal direction.
  • Additionally or alternatively, the second reflecting portion 43 may be arranged on the mounting frame 21 of the door 2 or form a part of the mounting frame, and the second reflecting portion 43 is located outside the mounting space 22. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the second reflecting portion 43 is provided by a segment that is located in the vertical part of the mounting frame 21 and that is located outside the mounting space 22. In some embodiments, the mounting frame 21 is metal. Such a mounting frame 21 can directly provide the second reflecting portion 43 basically without processing. Preferably, on the mounting frame 21, the second reflecting portion 43 extends from the light scattering portion 41 to an end portion of the mounting frame 21, that is, extends to the circumferential edge of the door 2.
  • Preferably, the first reflecting portion 42 may be of a dark color. This helps to improve light absorption and diffusion effect of the first reflecting portion 42, to form a more prominent and conspicuous light effect, thereby improving visibility of the light effect.
  • Preferably, as shown in FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, the recessed portion 111 may be implemented as an arc-shaped structure, in particular, a circular arc-shaped structure, extending from the front surface 10 of the housing to the laundry loading port. Additionally or alternatively, the laundry loading port may be located at the center of the recessed portion 111. That is, the recessed portion 111 may be an arc-shaped structure that has a central opening serving as the laundry loading port and extends inward from the front surface 10 of the housing to the central opening. The glass bowl of the door 2 extends into the central opening to seal the central opening. The mounting frame 21 of the door 2 and the outer surface of the recessed portion 111 that faces the outside define the receiving space 11, particularly the receiving space 11 having the gap 112. The arc-shaped surface of the recessed portion 111 can facilitate light scattering, thereby facilitating achieving a soft light effect. A radian of the arc-shaped structure can be adjusted to achieve a required light diffuse effect. In another embodiment of the present invention, the recessed portion 111 may alternatively be of a non-arc-shaped structure, such as an oblique line, a wavy line, or a zigzag line.
  • In addition, a distance between the light-emitting unit 3 and the recessed portion 111, that is, the scale range of the receiving space 11, can be adjusted to achieve a required light diffuse effect. FIG. 5 shows dimensions of the recessed portion and the gap in FIG. 4. For the purpose of clarity, some structures are omitted in FIG. 5. Referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, a maximum depth W1 of the recessed portion 111 relative to the front surface 10 of the housing may be in the range from 30 mm to 50 mm, preferably in the range from 35 mm to 45 mm. Herein, the maximum depth W1 may refer to a dimension of the recessed portion 111 from a first end portion at the front surface 10 of the housing to a second end portion at the laundry loading port along the front-rear direction of the laundry treatment device.
  • Additionally or alternatively, a longitudinal width W2 of the recessed portion 111 from the front surface 10 of the housing to the laundry loading port is in the range of 65 mm to 120 mm, preferably in the range of 85 mm to 100 mm. Herein, the longitudinal width W2 may refer to a dimension of the recessed portion 111 from the first end portion to the second end portion along an up-down direction of the laundry treatment device. The laundry loading port may be circular, and the diameter of the laundry loading port may be in the range of 300 mm to 400 mm. Therefore, when the laundry loading port is located at the center of the recessed portion 111, the diameter of the recessed portion 111 at the first end portion, that is, the diameter of the circumferential edge of the recessed portion 111, is the diameter of the laundry loading port plus twice the longitudinal width W2, that is, preferably in the range of 430 mm to 640 mm. Notwithstanding, the range is also applicable to an embodiment in which a corresponding opening serving as the laundry loading port is not located at the center of the recessed portion 111.
  • Additionally or alternatively, a radial width W3 of the gap 112 is in the range from 20 mm to 40 mm, preferably in the range from 25 mm to 35 mm. Herein, the radial width W3 may refer to a distance between the circumferential edge of the front surface 10 of the housing, the circumferential edge of the recessed portion 111, or the first end potion of the recessed portion 111 and the circumferential edge of the door 2 along an up-down direction of the laundry treatment device when the door 2 is received in the receiving space 11.
  • In some embodiments, the laundry treatment device may further include a control unit 5, and the control unit 5 is configured to control the light-emitting unit 4 to form a light effect. The control unit 5 is highly schematically shown in FIG. 3.
  • Preferably, the light effect is associated with the progress of a laundry treatment operation of the laundry treatment device. Therefore, a visual feedback of the progress of the laundry treatment operation can be implemented through the light effect, to provide a clear visual indication to the user, so that the user can intuitively learn the process of the laundry treatment operation (for example, a washing process or a drying process) through the light effect, thereby reducing learning costs of the user.
  • Preferably, the light effect can further be used for assisting the user in operating the laundry treatment device to set a laundry treatment operation. For example, different light effects can be set for different laundry treatment operation programs, so that when the user operates the laundry treatment device to set a laundry treatment operation, the light effect can be changed and/or switched with the user's operation or setting, so that the light effect can be used as a visual guide for helping the user complete a related setting operation.
  • Herein, the light effect may include features in at least one aspect such as color and dynamic effect. For example, different laundry treatment operations and/or different phases of the laundry treatment operation can be displayed by using different colors, different dynamic effects, or a combination of the two.
  • Additionally, the laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application can integrate an intelligent voice assistant and provide a corresponding visual image to guide the user to perform active interaction, thereby supporting setting of a personalized laundering requirement. For example, after the voice assistant is activated, the control unit 5 of the laundry treatment device can recognize a user identity, and intelligently recommend a personalized laundry treatment operation program based on at least one factor such as a season, a historical use frequency, a use habit, or a clothes type. Herein, the personalized laundry treatment operation program may include a user-preset laundry treatment operation program. Therefore, the user can preset an operation program and store the operation program to be directly invoked subsequently. In addition, a quick start function can be provided. The function can help the user to determine an optimal setting of the laundry treatment operation through quick procedural questions, thereby improving use convenience and the operation efficiency of the laundry treatment device. In this case, the user can complete settings by combining the light effect formed along the circumferential edge of the door 2 with interaction manners such as voice interaction.
  • Additionally, the laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application can form a dynamic effect on a control panel used to receive a user instruction, to interact with the light effect formed along the circumferential edge of the door 2. This enhances a visual indication for the progress of the laundry treatment operation and a visual guide for setting the laundry treatment operation, thereby improving intuitiveness.
  • Additionally, the laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application can further be in communication connection with user's visualization device such as a mobile device, to present the light effect formed along the circumferential edge of the door 2, the progress of the laundry treatment operation, and the like in user's device.
  • The laundry treatment device according to this embodiment of this application may be, for example, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, or a washer-dryer combination.
  • As described above, the features and technical effects described above with reference to the embodiment implemented as the laundry treatment device can be applied to an embodiment implemented as another household appliance either alone or in any combination.
  • In this embodiment of this application, the receiving space recessed inwardly on the front surface of the housing of the household appliance, particularly, the laundry treatment device, is fully used, and a convex arc-shaped light receiving surface in a large scale is designed, so as to increase a distance between the light-emitting unit and the light receiving surface, thereby creating a dynamic background having a light diffuse effect. The design not only can create a visual effect that a door of a household appliance, particularly, a laundry treatment device, suspends, but also can improve overall aesthetics and enhance visual experience of the user. In addition, based on the receiving space, an embodiment of this application can provide an innovative design for the household appliance, especially the laundry treatment device, featuring a flush design and an embedded door design. This avoids a common practice of directly expanding a conventional door to an entire household appliance body, thereby improving product aesthetics and space utilization efficiency.
  • It should be noted that expressions such as "first" and "second" in this specification are merely used for descriptive purposes, and should not be understood as indicating or implying relative importance, nor should be understood as implicitly specifying the number of the indicated technical features. Features defined by "first" and "second" may explicitly or implicitly indicate that at least one of the features is included.
  • It should be further understood that in this specification, terms indicating the orientation or position relationship are used to describe the position relationship of corresponding components with reference to the accompanying drawings in terms of an orientation of the household appliance, especially the laundry treatment device during actual use, and are merely used for ease of description of this specification and simplification of description.
  • In addition, when any dimension, relative size, or the like is mentioned, it should be considered that even when related descriptions are not specified, a value used for an element or feature or corresponding information (such as a level or a range) includes a tolerance or an error range that may be caused by various factors.
  • In a case of no contradiction, a person skilled in the art can join or combine the different embodiments or examples and features of the different embodiments or examples that are described in this specification. Various replacements, changes, and variations can be conceived without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
