However, the spirit of the present disclosure is not limited by the embodiments presented herein, and those of ordinary skill in the art who understand the spirit of the present disclosure may easily propose other less advanced inventions or other embodiments belonging to the scope of the spirit of the present disclosure by adding another component, changing a component, or omitting a component within the scope of the same spirit, but such inventions or embodiments also pertain to the scope of the spirit of the present disclosure.
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a helmet according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 2 is a view illustrating a state in which a shield is separated from the helmet according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the shield according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 4 is a view showing a top view and a side view of a second protruding part of the helmet according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a helmet 100 of the present embodiment includes a shell 110 and a shield 120.
  • The shell 110 forms a space where the head of a user is placed. Various known shapes may be applied as the shape of the shell 110.
  • The shield 120 is coupled to shield at least a portion of a front of the shell 110 and has a first protruding part 130 formed to protrude from both ends.
  • Various known shapes may be applied as the shape of the shield 120, and the shield 120 may be rotatably coupled to the shell 110 as illustrated or may be coupled to the shell in a fixed manner.
  • The first protruding part 130 may be formed to protrude a predetermined height from a surface of the shield 120. Accordingly, air flowing to a front of the shield 120 flows to both ends along the surface of the shield 120. In addition, air flows to the first protruding part 130 formed to protrude from the surface of the shield 120. Moreover, a vortex is primarily formed as air flows along the first protruding part 130, and a vortex is secondarily generated at a larger amount as air flows along a second protruding part 140 of the shell 110 that will be described below.
  • Meanwhile, a flow speed of air flowing along the surface of the helmet decreases due to the vortex being generated, and accordingly, wind noise generated during traveling is reduced.
  • In particular, when a hinge part 120a for coupling the shield 120 to the shell 110 is formed to protrude, a flow speed of air flowing along the hinge part 120a is decreased, and thus an effect of reducing wind noise is maximized.
  • At least one second protruding part 140 may be provided on the shell 110. The second protruding part 140 is formed to protrude from a surface of the shell 110, and accordingly, air that has primarily generated a vortex while flowing along the first protruding part 130 generates an additional vortex while flowing along the second protruding part 140.
  • In the present embodiment, the second protruding part 140 is formed to have a width d1 that gradually decreases from a front toward a rear. In addition, a fourth recessed groove 140a formed to have a width d2 gradually increasing from a front toward a rear is formed in the second protruding part 140. Further, the second protruding part 140 is formed to have a height that is the highest at a central portion (h1) and gradually decreases toward a front and a rear.
  • In addition, the second protruding part 140 may be provided as a plurality of second protruding parts 140 disposed to be spaced apart at predetermined intervals on the shell 110.
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a shield according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 6 is a perspective view of a shield according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a shield according to a fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 8 is a view showing experimental results of simulating an air flow speed on a surface of the shield according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure.
  • Referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, a first recessed groove 230a having a width gradually decreasing from a front toward a rear is formed in a first protruding part 230 of a shield 220 of the second embodiment of the present disclosure.
  • In addition, a plurality of second recessed grooves 330a having a width gradually decreasing from a front toward a rear are formed in series in a shield 320 of the third embodiment of the present disclosure. Accordingly, the second recessed grooves 330a are formed in the shape of saw teeth as a whole.
  • In a shield 420 of the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, the recessed grooves of the second embodiment and the third embodiment that have been described above are formed in combination. That is, a plurality of second recessed grooves 431b are formed in series in the first recessed groove 431a formed to have a width gradually decreasing from a front toward a rear.
  • Further, a third recessed groove 431c recessed upward and downward is further formed in the first recessed groove 431a.
  • That is, through the structures of the first protruding part and the first to third recessed grooves formed in the shields of the second to fourth embodiments, a vortex can be artificially generated in an air flow in a process in which a user rides a motorcycle or the like, and accordingly, an air flow speed on the surface of the shell can be reduced, and thus the level of wind noise can be significantly reduced.
  • That is, referring to FIG. 8 that shows the results of simulating an air flow speed on the structure of the shield of the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure and an air flow speed on a shield in which a protruding part and a recessed groove are not formed, it can be confirmed that the air flow speed significantly decreases at a rear of the hinge part 120a in the structure of the fourth embodiment (at a point indicated by a red arrow, an air flow speed is shown in blue when the air flow speed is low, and it can be confirmed that in image (a) of FIG. 8, the air flow speed is shown in blue and is low at the rear of the hinge part 120a).
  • In particular, when the hinge part 120a protrudes, wind noise is generated at high levels according to a structure in which the hinge part 120a protrudes. When the air flow speed significantly decreases at the rear of the hinge part 120a as illustrated, wind noise also decreases as a result.
  • FIG. 9 is a perspective view of a helmet according to a fifth embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 10 is a perspective view illustrating a state in which a spoiler protrudes from the helmet according to the fifth embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 11 is a view illustrating an interior of a spoiler unit according to the fifth embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 12 is a view for describing a process in which a spoiler moves within the spoiler unit of the present disclosure.
  • Referring to FIGS. 9 to 12, the overall configuration of the present embodiment is the same as the embodiments described above, and differences therefrom will be mainly described below.
  • A spoiler unit 150 is provided to a shell 110 of the present embodiment, and the second protruding part 140 of the above embodiments is provided as a plurality of second protruding parts 140 disposed to be spaced apart at predetermined intervals in the spoiler unit 150.
  • The spoiler unit 150 includes a spoiler body 151, a spoiler 152, an elastic member 153, and a guide part 154.
  • The spoiler body 151 is coupled to a rear of the shell 110.
  • The spoiler 152 is coupled to the spoiler body 151 to be movable in a front-rear direction. Accordingly, a user may travel in a state in which the spoiler 152 is moved to a rear as illustrated in FIG. 10.
  • The elastic member 153 is coupled between the spoiler body 151 and the spoiler 152 and assists movement of the spoiler 152. In particular, in the present embodiment, a torsion spring may be used, and both ends of the torsion spring 153 are fixed to the spoiler body 151 and the spoiler 152.
  • The guide part 154 serves to guide sliding of the spoiler 152. One or more guide grooves 154a may be formed in the guide part 154.
  • A helmet according to one embodiment of the present disclosure has protruding parts having simple structures formed on a shield and shell, thereby artificially generating a vortex in a flow of air flowing along a surface of the helmet during traveling, and reducing wind noise as a result.
  • Advantageous effects of the present disclosure are not limited to the above-mentioned advantageous effects, and other unmentioned advantageous effects may be clearly understood by those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present disclosure pertains based on the present specification and the accompanying drawings.
  • Configurations and features of the present disclosure have been described above based on embodiments according to the present disclosure, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. It should be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present disclosure pertains that various changes or modifications may be made within the spirit and scope of the present disclosure, and it should be noted that such changes or modifications also fall within the scope of the appended claims.
