Abstract

The application relates to the technical field of grinding wheels. In order to overcome the defects of the grinding wheels in the art, e.g. the difficulty in chip removal and the short service life, the application provides a lightweight combined type grinding wheel, comprising a bottom plate, a cover plate and an adapter. The bottom plate and the cover plate are coaxially fitted and are fixed by the adapter. A plurality of bosses are formed on the surface of the bottom plate facing away from the cover plate. The plurality of bosses are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate. Abrasive grains are laid on the top surface of each boss. The bosses are spaced from each other, and a chip groove is formed between two adjacent bosses. The chip groove is used to discharge the grinding chips generated by grinding. The application provides bosses and chip grooves on the cover plate, and lays diamond abrasive grains on the top surface of bosses by brazing, thereby improving the convenience of the grinding wheel in terms of chip storage and chip removal, and reducing the dust generated during grinding. In addition, when the abrasive grains are worn or fall off, the bottom plate can be replaced separately, so that the service life of the grinding wheel may be longer.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The application relates to the technical field of grinding wheels, in particular to a lightweight combined type grinding wheel.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Brazed diamond grinding wheels achieve a strong chemical metallurgical bond between the diamond and the steel matrix with the help of the brazing material, which has the advantages of high abrasive holding strength and exposure height, sharp cutting edge, high processing efficiency, long service life, no dust pollution, high matrix strength, etc., and shows an obvious processing superiority when removing and grinding edges, welds, burrs and rough edges on the surface of materials.
  • However, the brazed diamond grinding wheels in prior art have grinding chips that are difficult to discharge during use and are prone to clogging, resulting in reduced grinding efficiency. In severe cases, the sharpness of the grinding wheel will be affected, resulting in burning knife. In addition, its service life is very short. With the increase of grinding time and the increase of temperature, the diamond continues to shed, which in turn causes the grinding wheel to fail. Hence it is a disposable product.
  • SUMMARY
  • In order to overcome the defects of grinding wheels in prior art, the present application provides a lightweight combined type grinding wheel.
  • The lightweight combined type grinding wheel provided by the present application employs the following technical solutions:
A lightweight combined type grinding wheel comprises a bottom plate, a cover plate and an adapter; wherein the bottom plate and the cover plate are coaxially fitted and detachably connected via the adapter; a plurality of bosses are formed on a surface of the bottom plate facing away from the cover plate; the plurality of bosses are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate; abrasive grains are laid on the top surface of each of the bosses; the bosses are spaced from each other, and a chip groove is formed between two adjacent bosses; the chip groove is used to discharge grinding chips generated by grinding.
  • Optionally, a plurality of weight-reducing holes are provided on both of the bottom plate and the cover plate.
  • Optionally, the abrasive grains are diamond abrasive grains; the diamond abrasive grains are fixed to the top surface of the bosses by brazing.
  • Optionally, the top surface of the bosses is elliptical.
  • Optionally, the top surface of the bosses is arrow-shaped.
  • Optionally, the top surface of the bosses is trapezoidal.
  • Optionally, the number of the bosses is six or eight.
  • Optionally, the centers of the bottom plate and the cover plate are both concaved along their common axis in a direction opposite to a protruding direction of the bosses so as to form a mounting portion; and the adapter comprises a bolt and a nut, which are fitted so as to lock the bottom plate and the cover plate; the bolt is used to connect the lightweight combined type grinding wheel to other devices.
  • Optionally, the thickness of the cover plate is between 3 mm and 6 mm.
  • Optionally, the thickness of the bottom plate is between 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm.
  • As described above, the application at least possesses following beneficial effects:
    1. 1. The lightweight combined type grinding wheel of the application forms a chip groove between two adjacent bosses by forming a plurality of bosses on the bottom plate, and lays diamond abrasive grains on the top surface of the bosses by brazing, so that the grinding chips generated by the lightweight combined type grinding wheel during grinding can be discharged through the chip groove, thereby improving the convenience of the grinding wheel in terms of chip storage and chip removal, reducing the dust generated during grinding, and improving the sharpness of the grinding wheel. At the same time, since the chip storage and chip removal are convenient, and the bottom plate and the cover plate are detachably connected, when the abrasive grains are worn or fall off and the grinding performance of the grinding wheel deteriorates, the bottom plate can be replaced separately, thereby increasing the service life of the grinding wheel.
    2. 2. The lightweight combined type grinding wheel of the application can reduce the overall weight of the grinding wheel and achieve the weight reduction by opening weight-reducing holes on the bottom plate and the cover plate, and selecting a lightweight and high-temperature resistance material as the cover plate.

  • Please refer to Figs. 1-6; the application discloses a lightweight combined type grinding wheel, comprising a bottom plate 1, a cover plate 2 and an adapter 3. The bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2 are coaxially fitted and detachably connected through the adapter 3. A plurality of bosses 6 are formed on the surface of the bottom plate 1 facing away from the cover plate 2. Abrasive grains 7 are laid on the top surface of each boss 6. The bosses 6 are spaced apart from each other, and a chip groove 4 is formed between two adjacent bosses 6. The chip groove 4 is used to discharge the grinding chips generated by grinding. The boss 6 and the bottom plate 1 are stamped and formed integrally.
  • Since the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2 are detachably connected, when the grinding performance of the grinding wheel deteriorates due to wear and fall of the abrasive grains 7 on bosses 6 of the bottom plate 1, the bottom plate 1 can be replaced separately. Therefore, the lightweight combined type grinding wheel of the application has a longer service life than the brazed diamond grinding wheel in prior art.
  • Please refer to Figs. 1 and 2, the bottom plate 1 is disc-shaped, and the middle portion thereof is concave along its own axis in the direction opposite to the protruding direction of the boss 6. The boss 6 is formed on the bottom plate 1. When the lightweight combined type grinding wheel is operating, the bottom plate 1 is subjected to a large force, and thus the bottom plate 1 can be made of A3 or 45 steel.
  • In a preferred embodiment of the present application, in order to minimize the weight of the bottom plate 1 while ensuring the mechanical strength of the bottom plate 1, the thickness of the bottom plate 1 is between 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm, for example, 0.8 mm, 1 mm, 1.15 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.4 mm, and 1.5 mm.
  • The cover plate 2 is disc-shaped, and the middle portion thereof is concave along its own axis in the direction opposite to the protruding direction of the boss 6, and the shape of the concave portion is the same as that of the concave part of the bottom plate 1, so that the concave portions of the cover plate 2 and the bottom plate can be nested. The main function of the cover plate 2 is to install the bottom plate 1, which is convenient for the overall installation of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel. In order to reduce the overall weight of the grinding wheel, the cover plate needs to be made of lightweight and high-temperature resistant materials, such as aluminum alloy and PET materials.
  • In a preferred embodiment of the present application, in order to minimize the weight of the cover plate 2 while ensuring the mechanical strength of the cover plate 2, the thickness of the cover plate 2 is between 3 mm and 6 mm, for example, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm.
  • The overall diameter of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel is between 75 mm and 230 mm, for example, 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm, and 230 mm.
  • At the same time, in order to further reduce the overall weight of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel, a plurality of weight-reducing holes 8 are provided on the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2. The weight-reducing holes 8 penetrate the bottom plate 1 or the cover plate 2 along the thickness direction of the bottom plate 1 or the cover plate 2. The weight-reducing holes 8 are used to reduce the weight of the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2 without affecting the mechanical strength of the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2, thereby making the lightweight combined type grinding wheel lighter.
  • The concave portions of the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2 are nested to form a mounting portion 5. The adapter 3 comprises a bolt 31 and a nut 32. The bolt 31 and the nut 32 are fitted to lock the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2. The bolt 31 is used to connect the lightweight combined type grinding wheel to other devices. The bolt 31 can be connected to other devices with its thread located beyond the nut 32, or it can be connected to other devices with other suitable methods.
  • In a preferred embodiment of the present application, a screw hole 33 is formed on the bolt 31 along the axis of the bolt 31, and the screw hole 33 penetrates through the bolt 31. In this way, while the bolt 31 and the nut 32 lock the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2, the connection of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel with other devices can be realized by the screw hole 33 on the bolt 31.
  • The abrasive grains 7 are diamond abrasive grains. The diamond abrasive grains are fixed on the top surface of bosses 6 by brazing. The parameters of the diamond abrasive grains can be adaptively selected according to the usage cases of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel. In a preferred embodiment of the application, the particle size of the diamond abrasive grains is between 212µm and 250µm. The brazing filler metal used for brazing diamond abrasive grains is a nickel-based brazing filler metal, which contains nickel, chromium, iron, and silicon, wherein the percentages of nickel, chromium, iron, and silicon are as follows: nickel 84%-85%; chromium 4%-5%; iron 6.5%-7.5%; and silicon 4%-5%. The diamond abrasive grains are brazed in a vacuum furnace at a brazing temperature of 1020°C for 20 minutes.
  • Bosses 6 grind the object with the abrasive grains 7 laid on the top surface thereof, so the shape and number of bosses 6 are critical to the grinding performance of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel. The following are exemplary arrangements of bosses 6 shown through four different types and numbers of bosses 6:
In one embodiment of the application, the top surface of the boss 6 is elliptical. The plurality of bosses 6 are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate 1. Specifically, referring to FIG. 3, the number of bosses 6 may be eight, and the eight bosses 6 are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate 1, and the angles between the major axes of the two ellipses corresponding to two adjacent bosses 6 are equal.
  • In one embodiment of the application, the top surface of the boss 6 is arrow-shaped. The plurality of bosses 6 are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate 1. Specifically, referring to FIG. 4, the number of bosses 6 may be twelve. The projection of the outer edge of the boss 6 on the bottom plate 1 along the axis of the bottom plate 1 is flush with the outer edge of the bottom plate 1. The twelve bosses 6 are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate 1, and the arrows of the twelve bosses 6 all point in the same direction.
  • In one embodiment of the application, the top surface of the boss 6 is trapezoidal. The plurality of bosses 6 are evenly spaced around the axis of the bottom plate 1. The two bottom sides of the trapezoid corresponding to the boss 6 are both in form of circular arc, and the center of circle of circular arcs are both located on the axis of the bottom plate 1. The longer bottom side is closer to the outer edge of the bottom plate 1. The number of bosses 6 may be six or eight. FIG. 5 shows the case in which the number of bosses 6 is six and FIG. 6 shows the case in which the number of bosses 6 is eight.
  • In other embodiments of the present application, the shape and number of the bosses 6 may be appropriately adjusted according to the requirements of the practical usage of the lightweight combined type grinding wheel.
  • The lightweight combined type grinding wheel of the application forms a plurality of bosses 6 on the bottom plate 1, forms a chip groove 4 between two adjacent bosses 6, and lays diamond abrasive grains on the top surface of the bosses 6 by brazing, so that the grinding chips generated by the lightweight combined type grinding wheel during grinding can be discharged through the chip groove 4, thereby improving the convenience of the grinding wheel in terms of chip storage and chip removal, reducing the dust generated during grinding, and improving the sharpness of the grinding wheel. At the same time, due to the convenience of the chip storage and chip removal and the detachable connection between the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2, when the abrasive grains 7 are worn or fall off and the grinding performance of the grinding wheel deteriorates, the bottom plate 1 can be replaced separately, thereby increasing the service life of the grinding wheel.
  • In addition, the lightweight combined type grinding wheel of the application can reduce the overall weight of the grinding wheel and achieve lightweight by opening weight-reducing holes 8 on the bottom plate 1 and the cover plate 2 and selecting a lightweight and high-temperature resistant material as the cover plate 2.
  • The above embodiments are merely illustrative of the principles and effects of the present application, and are not intended to limit the present application. Those skilled in the art may modify or alter the above embodiments without departing from the spirit and scope of the present application. Therefore, all equivalent modifications or change made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and technical concept disclosed in the present application shall still be covered by the claims of the present application.
