Description

  • The present invention relates to a lighting device with a support device of the lighting body.
  • More particularly, the present invention relates to a lighting device consisting of an LED module associated with a driver housing, i.e. the power supply unit of the LED module.
  • Lighting devices are known to have lamps, consisting of one or more LEDs, powered by means of a power supply unit, called a driver.
  • CN212178819U discloses a lamp having a supporting seat comprising a bottom plate, a supporting plate and a top plate, two limiting plates protruding upwards are arranged at the two ends of the bottom plate respectively, the limiting plates and the bottom plate are combined to form a U-shaped limiting groove.
  • CN212178606U discloses high-power LED street lamps each having a connecting base. A detachable connecting piece is arranged on the connecting base, and the two ends of the connecting piece are fixed to the two adjacent lamps respectively. A plurality of lamps can be rapidly joined together to form an integrated structure.
  • US1076077481 discloses a compact lighting system having an illumination element module, a terminal box, an illumination element module driver, and a junction box, wherein the illumination element module is composed of a heat sink and a lamp housing. The lamp housing is composed of an external case, a reflective cup, a protection mask and a plurality of circlips having elasticity. A spacing is between the outer wall of the protection mask and the internal wall of the external case. The circlip is disposed to an outer wall of the protection mask, where one end is joined to a top end of the protection mask while another end has a tooth buckle corresponding to the internal wall of the external case. The tooth buckle stretches into the spacing to allow the circlip to locate between the external case and the protection mask so as to closely combine the protection mask and the external case. The terminal box is locked and connected by a locking mechanism.
  • CN209374816U discloses a fixing device for an LED driving power supply connector. The connector comprises a body, an insert and a screw, the body comprises a top plate, a bottom plate and a backplate. The insert is mounted on the top plate through a screw; two left clamping plates and two right clamping plates are respectively arranged at the left end and the right end of the bottom plate; one end of each of the two left clamping plates is vertically connected to the left end of the bottom plate, and the two left clamping plates are arranged at a certain interval; a left cable clamping groove is formed between the two left clamping plates; one end of each of the two right clamping plates is vertically connected to the right end of the bottom plate and is arranged at a certain interval; a right cable clamping groove is formed in the middle of the body, the plug-in is provided with a plug pin, the plug pin, the top plate, the bottom plate and the back plate form a containing cavity for containing a connector, the two ends of the containing cavity are provided with a left cable clamping groove and a right cable clamping groove for a cable to pass through, and the body is further provided with an installation hole.
  • As known in the prior art, the LEDs are generally mounted on a module and connected by means of a power cable to the driver, which is generally contained in a housing.
  • The power supply cable may comprise two separate sections: a power supply unit cable and an LED module cable connected together by means of a connector.
  • The described conventional structure has at least two problems.
  • A first problem is the need to protect the connector from external agents such as seepage and mechanical damage.
  • A second problem is the need to prevent the connector and cable from touching parts of the lighting device that have dangerous operating temperatures for the cable and connector.
  • The aim of the present invention is to provide a lighting device, with a support device of the lighting body, that overcomes the drawbacks of the prior art.
  • Within this aim, an object of the invention is to provide a lighting device that provides protection for the cables connecting the power supply unit to the LED module.
  • A further object of the invention is to protect the cable connector between the power supply unit and the LED module from external influences such as dust, weather and mechanical damage.
  • A further object of the invention is to provide a system that prevents the connector and cable from touching parts of the lighting device that have dangerous operating temperatures for the cable and connector.
  • A further object of the present invention is to provide a device which, due to its special design features, is able to ensure the broadest guarantees of reliability and safety in use.
  • These aim and objects and others which will better appear hereafter, are achieved by a lighting device, with a support device of the lighting body, as claimed in the appended claims.
  • Further characteristics and advantages will become better apparent from the description of preferred, but not exclusive, embodiments of the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:
    • Figure 1 is a perspective view of the lighting device with a support device of the lighting body according to the invention;
    • Figure 2 is a partially exploded perspective view of the device;
    • Figure 3 is a perspective view of the cable clamp plate, according to the invention.
  • With reference to the figures, the lighting device with a support device of the lighting body, according to the invention, globally designated by the reference numeral 1, comprises at least one LED module 2 associated with a power supply unit 3, comprising a housing containing a driver.
  • The LED module 2 is connected to the power supply unit 3 by means of a connecting cable comprising a first cable 31, from power supply unit 3, and a second cable 21, from LED module 2, which are connected to each other by means of a connector 4.
  • The lighting device according to the present invention comprises a cable clamp 5 configured to support the connecting cable and to protect the connector 4.
  • The cable clamp device 5 is formed as a moulded plate and comprises at least one compartment 51 for the connector 4, and inlet seats 52, for cables 31 and 21 associated with the connector 4.
  • Advantageously, the cable clamp device 5 includes additional inlet seats 53, flanking the inlet seats 52, and allowing the passage of further electrical cables, not visible in the figures.
  • The cable clamp device 5 also includes means of snap coupling to the housing of the power supply unit 3.
  • The coupling means are advantageously constituted by teeth 54 formed in the moulded plate forming the body of the cable clamp device 5.
  • The teeth 54 are configured to engage the upper and lower edges of the power supply unit 3, as exemplified in figure 1.
  • The cable clamp device 5 keeps the cables 21 and 31 and the connector 4 adjacent to the housing of the power supply unit 3 so that the connector 4 is protected.
  • The cable clamp device 5 also has the function of preventing the connector 4 or the cables 21, 31 from touching parts of the lighting device 1 that have dangerous operating temperatures for such components.
