Abstract

The present invention relates to a weight (100) and piece of equipment (200) for weightlifting exercises, the weight comprising a body (108) with a through hole (101) arranged in its centre of masses (C), said hole (101) being suited for placing the weight in a bar (1). The body (108) further comprises a central handle (102) made from a single machined metal part which exhibits a cylindrical portion (107) that the hole (101) passes through, the cylindrical portion (107) being suited to be gripped by way of a dumbbell with a single hand. The piece of equipment (200) further comprises a bar (1) suited to be gripped and lifted with at least one hand, the bar (1) exhibiting at least one end suited for receiving and supporting the one or more weights (100).

Description

    Technical field of the invention
  • The invention relates to a weight and a piece of equipment for weightlifting for performing sports training exercises and for the practice of sporting disciplines.
  • Background of the invention
  • Weights are known for the performance of weightlifting exercises which can be placed at the ends of a bar. These weights are provided with a central hole, which is sized so that the bar passes therethrough, thus forming a piece of equipment for weightlifting, the centre of masses of each weight being arranged in said hole to prevent same from swinging when it is arranged in a bar. To prevent deviations in the centre of masses, the mass of the weights tends to concentrate around said hole.
  • These weights are usually provided with several grips, having corresponding passages that pass through the weight, suited for passing the fingers and grasp each weight with the hands for their transport and installation in a bar. To prevent interference with the centre of masses of the weight, the grips are peripherally arranged in the weight and are uniformly distributed. Nevertheless, having other elements such as dumbbells is required to perform other weightlifting exercises.
  • It is an object of the present invention to disclose a weight which, being able to be incorporated at the ends of a bar in the same manner than known weights, further allows the individual performance of other weightlifting exercises, by way of a dumbbell.
  • Bars for weightlifting are also known which exhibit ends delimited by stops and suited to place weights, so that its weight can be varied to perform a greater or lesser effort in the lifting thereof. It is important that the weights are suitably fastened to the bar to prevent them from coming off during the performance of the exercise, which could cause damages due to the fall of the weights, in addition to offset the bar in the event that there are weights arranged at each of the ends thereof.
  • The use of clamps for retaining the weights at the ends of the bar is known, nevertheless, this solution entails having an external auxiliary element that can get lost, in addition to having to conveniently fasten the weights during the incorporation of the clamp, preventing same from sliding out of the end of the bar before arranging the clamp. The operation of having to remove and place the clamp each time to change the configuration of the weight plates entails that during a conducted class long pauses are required to change the weight of the bar. These long pauses interrupt the class dynamics and it would be desirable to use systems that allowed a considerable reduction of the time required to change the configuration of the weight plates.
  • Also, bars are known having retention mechanisms built-in, such as those which are disclosed in documents US20110045956 A1 and US11135468B2 , which exhibit terminal actuators that can be driven by the hand of the user to retain or release the weights. Nevertheless, the weights have to pass through the terminal actuator to enter and exit the bar, which entails that they may cause damage to the hand of the user, if for example the user does not remove it on time, in addition to requiring the support of the bar on a surface for handling thereof with both hands during the operation, which entails delays in the weight-change operation, by having to place it in a suitable surface.
  • It is therefore another object of the present invention to disclose a piece of equipment for weightlifting, which comprises one or more weights which allow individually performed weightlifting exercises, further provided with a bar to place the weights that does not depend on external auxiliary elements, such as clamps or support surfaces, and which allows the change of weights quickly and safely.
  • Description of the invention
  • The weight of the present invention is of those comprising a body with a through hole arranged in its centre of masses, said hole being suited to place the weight in a bar to form a piece of equipment for performing sports training exercises and for the practice of weightlifting sports disciplines.
  • Essentially, the weight is characterised in that the body further comprises a handle which exhibits a cylindrical portion that the hole passes through, the cylindrical portion being suited and sized to be comfortably gripped with a single hand by way of a dumbbell. Thus, the weight can be gripped and lifted with a single hand by way of a dumbbell, keeping the body of the weight balanced and advantageously allowing the performance of exercises not only when the weight is placed in a bar but rather individually, thus not requiring separate weights for the placement thereof in a bar and dumbbell sets. The handle can be formed from a single machined metal part and connected to the rest of the body, for example by welding. It is also provided that the handle is formed in a jointly manner with other portions of the body, such as a core, for example, by smelting or stamping, so that welding is not required. It is even provided that the handle may be able to be formed from several assembled parts, for example plastic parts or metal parts, such as aluminium parts, fitted with one another or adhered or joined by means of accessory joining elements, such as screws and nuts, and joined to the rest of the body, for example, also by means of other joining elements, or even by means of adhesive.
  • In one embodiment, the cylindrical portion has a diameter between 25 and 36 millimetres, which allows it to be suitably sized to be gripped with a single hand by way of a dumbbell.
  • In one embodiment, the thickness of the cylindrical portion around the hole is less than 10 millimetres, which makes it possible for the handle to be sufficiently small to be able to be comfortably gripped with a single hand. Preferably, the intended thickness of the cylindrical portion around the hole is 5 millimetres, advantageously allowing to sufficiently close the hand to be able to grip the weight safely.
  • In one embodiment, the hole has a diameter between 15 and 26 millimetres, suitable for a bar to pass therethrough to form a piece of equipment for weightlifting together with other weights.
  • In a variant embodiment, the body comprises a core, preferably metallic, for example made using metallic injection, and optionally comprises a coating, for example a low pressure rubber over-injection to give it a better finish, the handle being formed in the core. Naturally, depending on the weight to be had by each weight, its core will be greater or smaller, or will be provided with gaps properly distributed in the core so that they do not affect the centre of masses.
  • In a variant embodiment, the body comprises at least one joining ring between the cylindrical portion and the coating, thus allowing that the coating, usually made of rubber, remains attached to the cylindrical portion and does not move during the use of the weight. It is provided that the cylindrical portion is provided with end recesses that allow the placement of the ring thereabout. Likewise, it is provided that the coating, by way of a sheath, is also provided with end recesses that allow the ring to be correctly attached to the coating. It is provided that one or more rings may be present on each end of the cylindrical portion. For example, the one or more rings may be made of heat-shrinkable plastic, so that when heated, the same exert a tightening that attaches the coating to the cylindrical portion and to the rest of the core. It is also provided that the rings are snap-fitted, for example, when the same are more rigid, being housed between the sheath and the cylindrical portion by way of a joint. Naturally, other joining types are provided, for example, by means of a screw and the corresponding thread, for example, between the ring and the sheath, which allows retaining the sheath to the ring by means of the rotation of the ring, the ring being attached to the cylindrical portion. It is also provided that each ring is formed by portions that fit with one another to be joined, for example, two portions of general "C" or semi circumferential shape, thus joining and attaching the cylindrical portion and the coating, for example by pressure, when they are joined. It is provided that the portions can be joined by means of snap-fitting, or by means of adhesives, or can even be welded to one another. It is also provided that the rings can even be formed from braces.
  • In a variant embodiment, the weight exhibits a symmetry axis, and its handle follows along said symmetry axis, so that the handle follows along the central portion of the weight, same remaining balanced during the use thereof as a dumbbell. It is provided that the cylindrical portion is aligned with said symmetry axis, the symmetry axis passing through the centre of the cylindrical portion. Thus, it is provided that the handle is essentially straight, or at least its central portion formed by the cylindrical portion. It is also provided that the handle does not protrude superiorly or inferiorly from the rest of the body of the weight, allowing the weight to be able to be placed on a surface without the handle interfering with this placement. It is thus provided that the weight determines upper and lower support surfaces, in its greater surfaces, which will preferably be those that are perpendicular to the direction of passage of the hole, which allow the weight to be placed on a surface, for example, during its use by way of a dumbbell to perform exercises.
  • In a variant embodiment, each weight comprises at least a perimeter grip to grasp the weight during the placing thereof at the end of a bar. This grip can be shaped as a recess in the perimeter of the weight.
  • In a variant embodiment, each weight comprises at least two perimeter grips, making it possible to grip the weight with two hands.
  • In a variant embodiment, the central handle is formed from a single machined metal part and joined to the rest of the body, for example, by welding. Naturally, it is also provided that the central handle is jointly formed with the rest or a portion of the body, for example, is formed together with the core, or that is formed separately and remains firmly joined to the rest of the body for shaping the weight.
  • The invention also discloses a piece of equipment for weightlifting formed by a bar for weightlifting of those suited for being gripped and lifted with at least one hand, the bar exhibiting at least one end provided with a stop, and the end being suited to receive and support one or more weights, such as the aforementioned. Naturally, it is also provided that the bar can be used with other weights of those which are known in the state of the art and which exhibits a central hole.
  • This piece of equipment is characterised in that the end of the bar is hollow and exhibits a set of windows longitudinally arranged on the bar which connect the inside and the outside of the end and which determine spaces for supporting weights therebetween, the end comprising a mechanism inside provided with teeth, the mechanism being suited so that the teeth simultaneously adopt a retracted position in which the teeth are arranged inside the bar allowing weights to pass through, and an extended position in which the teeth protrude from the bar through respective windows preventing the passage of weights, the mechanism comprising a sliding pushbutton for driving the mechanism arranged adjacent to the stop y separated from the end, that is, in the inside portion of the bar separated by the stop and where the weights cannot reach, to arrange the teeth between the retracted position and the extended position. Thus, it is achieved that the user can place the hand in the inside area of the bar to displace the sliding pushbutton, to arrange the mechanism in the retracted position and thus be able to introduce weights at the end of the bar, that they can displace the sliding pushbutton again, either manually or by means of a spring, so that the mechanism is arranged in the extended position, retaining the weights at the end of the bar. Advantageously, the user can drive the sliding pushbutton with the confidence that they will be able to keep the pushbutton in the suitable position with the hand during the entire operation for placing or removing weights without hindering the operation and with no possibility of damage to the weights or possible damage, for example pinching or crashing, to the hand actuating the sliding pushbutton. Furthermore, the bar provides speed in the operation for placing or removing weights, so that while the user holds the bar with one hand, the user can actuate the sliding pushbutton with the same hand, while the other hand can be used to place or remove the weight plates, thus performing the operation not only with speed but also comfort, to be able to hold the bar by its central portion, for example with two hands, to perform exercise. This aspect is important during a conducted class to reduce the pauses during which the weights of the bar must be adjusted, which have to be very quick in order not to interrupt the class dynamics.
  • In a variant embodiment, the mechanism comprises a longitudinal strip provided with slots having an oblique segment, and followers arranged in the slots connected to the teeth, so that they allow the longitudinal movement conferred by the displacement of the sliding pushbutton in a transversal movement for raising or lowering the teeth.
  • In a variant embodiment, the mechanism comprises two longitudinal strips with the same slots arranged parallel to each other and with their slots aligned, preferably forming a canal, so that a same follower can be embraced by the two strips, follower which will be preferably provided with two arms by way of a T, each arm being inserted in a respective slot.
  • In a variant embodiment, the slots of the strip exhibit longitudinal segments at the ends which allow the interlocking of the teeth either in their retracted position, concealed in the bar, or in their extended position, protruding from the bar.
  • In a variant embodiment, the teeth are aligned and connected with each other forming a same block.
  • In a variant embodiment, the teeth are equidistant, so that weights of the same thickness can be fitted between consecutive teeth.
  • In a variant embodiment, the teeth have a rectangular cross-section, facilitating greater retention of the weights.
  • In a variant embodiment, the mechanism is provided with elastic means suited for requesting the teeth in the extended position, so that the mechanism adopts by default the extended block position of the weights, giving it greater safety if for example during the incorporation of weights the sliding pushbutton is unexpectedly released, preventing the weights already placed at the end from falling. Preferably, the elastic means comprise a spring, which allows easily.
  • In a variant embodiment, the end comprises a terminal closure cap to close the inside of the bar.
  • In a variant embodiment, the cap is suited to support the mechanism, being provided with respective guides to house the strips and thus facilitate a transversal movement without play.
  • In a variant embodiment, the bar comprises two equal ends, each one suited to receive and support one or more weights, so that weights can be placed in the bar in each of the ends thereof.
  • In a variant embodiment, the bar is completely hollow, which allows it to be manufactured from a pipe or cylinder, for example, a metallic pipe or cylinder.

    Detailed description of the drawings
  • Fig. 1 depicts a weight 100 according to the present invention for the performance of weightlifting exercises, both individually, by way of a dumbbell, and arranged in a bar. As can be observed, the weight 100 comprises a body 108 with a through hole 101 arranged in its centre of masses C, said hole 101 being suited to place the weight in a bar 1, and the body 108 further comprises an oblong central handle 102 in its centre of masses C for use thereof as a dumbbell. It is further observed that the hole 101 is centrally arranged in the handle 102. It is contemplated that the cylindrical portion 107 can be a cylinder having a circular base, but it is also contemplated that it can be a cylinder having an elliptical base or even a curved base which determines a cylindrical portion 107 devoid of edges.
  • As can be observed in Fig. 2, which is a cross-sectional view of the weight 100 of Fig. 1, the handle 102 in this embodiment is formed from a single machined metal part. The handle 102 exhibits a central cylindrical portion 107 that the hole 101 passes through, the cylindrical portion 107 being suited and sized to be comfortably gripped with a single hand by way of a dumbbell. This Fig. 2 shows that the body 108 comprises a core 105, preferably metallic, which contributes to its weight, and a surface rubber finish coating 106, the handle 102 being formed in the core 105. The surface coating 106 may be, for example, made of rubber, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, thermoplastic polyurethane or any other elastomer. Naturally, it is also provided that the handle 102 can be jointly formed with the core 105, for example, by means of smelting, a subsequent finish being possible. The hole 101 can be formed during smelting or subsequently by means of boring or machining. It is also provided that during smelting a hole 101 is already defined, although it has a smaller radius that the one to be finally had, to subsequently finishing boring or machining the same.
  • This cylindrical portion 107 has a diameter between 25 and 36 millimetres, which makes it possible to grip it with a single hand by way of a dumbbell. Thus, the thickness of the cylindrical portion 107 around the hole 101 can be less than 10 millimetres, for example 5 millimetres, which makes it possible to comfortably grasp the handle 102 with a single hand for use thereof as a dumbbell, being able to maintain that the hole has a diameter between 15 and 26 millimetres, depending on the diameter of the bar that is to be passed through to form a piece of equipment for weightlifting. Naturally, depending on the diameter of the bar that is to be used, the diameter of the hole 101 will be determined and a thickness of the cylindrical portion 107 will be chosen that allows the diameter of the cylindrical portion 107 to be kept between 25 and 36 millimetres.
  • It is also observed that the weight 100 further exhibits a symmetry axis S, and the handle 102 follows along said symmetry axis S, which makes it possible to be able to comfortably grasp the weight 100 with one hand to perform exercises by way of a dumbbell.
  • In order to facilitate their handling and transportation, for example to incorporate a set of weights 100 in a bar 1, the weight 100 comprises at least one perimeter grip 103, preferably at least two perimeter grips 103, each perimeter grip 103 comprising a passage 104 between the handle 102 and the grip 103.
  • Fig. 3a depicts a first version of the metallic core 105 of the weight 100 of the present invention, which is solid, having greater weight, and Fig. 3b depicts a second version of the metallic core 105 having hollows 109 which make it lighter in weight. Fig. 3c depicts a third version of the metal core 105 of the weight 100 of the present invention, which is solid, especially designed to be manufactured by smelting. It is provided that the cylindrical portion 107 can have end recesses 110, for example, as observed in Fig. 3c, that are suited for housing joining or attachment rings 111, for example, made of plastic, between the cylindrical portion 107 and the coating 106, which allow the surface coating 106 with rubber finish to be attached, in the manner illustrated in Fig. 3d, thus achieving not only a better attachment of the surface coating 106 with rubber finish but rather facilitating a good joint and smooth transition between the cylindrical portion 107 of the handle 102 and the coating 106. The rings, which can also be made of rubber or any other material, can be closed around the end recesses 110 attaching the surface coating 106 with rubber finish as observed in the cross-section in Fig. 3e.
  • Naturally, using cores 105 of different sizes and hollows 109 a set of weights 100 will be obtained that will be able to be used either by way of a dumbbell or arranged in a bar 1 for weightlifting such as that which will be described below forming a piece of equipment 200.
  • As indicated above, each weight 100 is provided with a through hole 101 arranged in its centre of masses which allow several weights 100 to be placed at the ends 2 of a bar 1 to form a piece of equipment 200 for weightlifting. Naturally, the set of weights 100 is formed by weights 100 having different weights, and usually different sizes, so that the user can combine them at the ends 2 of the bar 1 to achieve the suitable weight in each end 2 for the performance of the exercise as required. The hole 101 of each weight 100 and the end 2 of the bar 1 have complementary circular cross-sections to fit tightly the weight 100 at the end 2 of the bar 1.
  • Thus, starting from a set of weights 100 of the present invention and a bar 1 a piece of equipment 200 for weightlifting is able to be as illustrated in Fig. 4, wherein the weights 100 are retained at the ends 2 of the bar 1 to perform exercises.
  • Fig. 4a depicts a bar 1 for weightlifting that is suited for receiving weights 100 of the present invention, and to be gripped and lifted with at least one hand. It is observed that the bar 1 exhibits at least one end 2 provided with a stop 3, the end 2 being suited to receive and support one or more weights 100. The end 2 of the bar 1 is hollow and exhibits a set of windows 4 longitudinally arranged which connect the inside and the outside of the end 2, and which determine spaces 4a for supporting weights 100 therebetween, the end 2 comprising a mechanism 5 inside provided with teeth 6, suited to protrude from the windows 4 to retain weights arranged in the spaces 4a between the windows 4, or between the last window 4 and the stop 3, as will be explained below. In the embodiment of the bar 1 depicted, the end exhibits four windows 4, which determine spaces 4a therebetween, and a fourth additional space 4a between the innermost window 4 and the stop 3. Naturally, it could also exhibit a different number of windows, for example three. Thus, the end 2 allows supporting up to four weights 100, each one being dimensioned according to the spaces 4a. Naturally, in other embodiments, it is provided that the end 2 exhibits different numbers of spaces 4a, for example, by being provided with more or less pairs of windows 4 and teeth 6, or if for example, more or less combinations of weights 100 are required, or to obtain more compact bars 1.
  • The end 2 further exhibits a sliding pushbutton 8 for driving the mechanism 5, arranged adjacent to the stop 3 separated from the end 2, to arrange the teeth 6 between a retracted position A depicted in Fig. 5a in which the teeth 6 are arranged inside the bar 1 and an extended position B as will be explained below. Advantageously, the actuation of the sliding pushbutton 8 can be performed by the user with the hand at any time during the operation for placing or removing weights 100 from the end 2 of the bar 1, being able to keep the sliding pushbutton 8 actuated with the hand during the entire operation, without the hand actuating the pushbutton preventing the operation from being able to caused damages to the user, as the sliding pushbutton 8 is separated from the end 2 by means of the stop 3.
  • As illustrated in Fig. 5b, in the retracted position, the mechanism 5 is suited so that the teeth 6 simultaneously adopt a retracted position A wherein the teeth 6 are arranged inside the bar 1. This retracted position A allows the passage of weights 100 in the manner illustrated. Naturally, although for illustration purposes, a single weight 100 is depicted, more weights 100 could be placed.
  • In the manner depicted in Fig. 6a, the sliding pushbutton 8 for driving the mechanism 5, allows the teeth 6 to be arranged in an extended position B in which the teeth 6 simultaneously protrude from the bar 1 through respective windows 4, preventing the passage of weights 100, and further retaining the weights 100 that are between the teeth 6, for example as illustrated in Fig. 6b.
  • The sliding pushbutton 8 for driving the mechanism 5 arranged adjacent to the stop 3 thus allows the teeth 6 to be arranged between the retracted position A for placing and removing weights 100 from the end 2 of the bar 1, and the extended position B to retain the weights 100 previously placed and secure them during an exercise session.
  • Figs. 7a and 7b depict a cross-sectional view of the end 2 of the bar 1 to illustrate an exemplary embodiment of the mechanism 5 which allows the teeth 6 to be arranged in the retracted position A and the extended position B. It is observed that the mechanism 5 comprises a longitudinal strip 9 provided with slots 10 having an oblique segment 10a, as well as respective followers 11 arranged in the slots 10 connected to the teeth 6, so that when the strips 9 perform a longitudinal movement corresponding to the sliding movement of the sliding pushbutton 8, cause the movement of the followers 11 through the slots 10, thus converting the longitudinal movement of the strips 9 into a transversal movement, that is, for raising or lowering, which is transmitted to the teeth 6. To achieve a better movement, the mechanism 5 is provided comprising two longitudinal strips 9 arranged parallel and preferably connected forming a groove, with the same slots 10 arranged parallel with each other so that their slots 10 are aligned and each follower can be simultaneously fitted in each pair of slots 10, for example if the follower 11 is T-shaped. The strips 9 are provided to be nested with each other, although different connection means can also be used such as screw and nut assemblies for their mutual connection, so that the joint movement of the strips 9 is achieved. It is also observed that the slots 10 of the strip 9 exhibit longitudinal segments 10b at the ends which advantageously allow the teeth to be retained in their retracted position A or in their extended position B. These teeth 6 are aligned, connected together and equidistant, thus determining spaces therebetween for placing and retaining weight 100. To achieve a good retention, the teeth 6 have a rectangular cross-section.
  • To achieve that the teeth 6 tend to lock the weights 100 and prevent the weights 100 from unexpectedly being released, the mechanism 5 is provided with elastic means 12 suited to request the teeth 6 in the extended position B. These elastic means 12 can be an elastic rubber segment or preferably a spring 12a, in the manner illustrated in Figs. 7a and 7b. It is also observed that the end 2 comprises a terminal closure cap 14 that supports the mechanism 5, further serving by way of a guide of the mechanism 5.
  • Fig. 8 depicts an exploded view of an end 2 of the bar 1, so that the different components of the mechanism 5 can be seen, which once assembled, allow that by means of the actuation of the sliding pushbutton 8 the teeth 6 adopt the retracted position A and the extended position B.
  • Although the bar 1 has been previously described based on one of its ends 2, it is contemplated that the bar 1 has two opposite equal ends 2, with independent operation, and suited for receiving and supporting one or more weights 100. Preferably, the bar 1 will be hollow, being able to be made from a metallic pipe or cylinder.

  1. A weight (100) for weightlifting exercise comprising a body (108) with a through hole (101) arranged in its centre of mass (C), said hole (101) being suited to place the weight in a bar (1), characterised in that the body (108) further comprises a central handle (102) exhibiting a cylindrical portion (107) that the hole (101) passes through, the cylindrical portion (107) being suited to be gripped by way of a dumbbell with a single hand.
  2. The weight (100) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the cylindrical portion (107) has a diameter between 25 and 36 millimetres.
  3. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the thickness of the cylindrical portion (107) around the hole (101) is less than 10 millimetres.
  4. The weight (100) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the thickness of the cylindrical portion (107) around the hole (101) is 5 millimetres.
  5. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the hole (101) has a diameter between 15 and 26 millimetres.
  6. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the body (108) comprises a core (105) and a coating (106), the handle (102) being formed in the core (105).
  7. The weight (100) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that it comprises at least one joining ring (111) for joining the cylindrical portion (107) and the coating (106).
  8. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it exhibits a symmetry axis, and the handle (102) follows along said symmetry axis.
  9. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises at least a perimeter grip (103).
  10. The weight (100) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that it comprises a passage (104) between the handle (102) and the grip (103).
  11. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises at least two perimeter grips (103).
  12. The weight (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the central handle is formed from a single machined metal part.
  13. A piece of equipment (200) for weightlifting exercise, characterised in that it comprises one or more weights (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, the piece of equipment (200) further comprising a bar (1) suited for being gripped and lifted with at least one hand, the bar (1) exhibiting at least one end (2) provided with a stop (3), the end (2) being suited for receiving and supporting the one or more weights (100), the end (2) of the bar (1) being hollow and exhibiting a set of windows (4) longitudinally arranged which connect the inside and the outside of the end (2), and which determine spaces (4a) for supporting weights (100) therebetween, the end (2) comprising a mechanism (5) inside provided with teeth (6), the mechanism (5) being suited so that the teeth (6) simultaneously adopt a retracted position (A) in which the teeth (6) are arranged inside the bar (1) allowing the weight plates to pass, and an extended position (B) in which the teeth protrude from the bar (1) through respective windows (4) preventing the passage of weights (100), the mechanism (5) comprising a sliding pushbutton (8) for driving the mechanism (5) arranged adjacent to the stop (3) and separated from the end (2), to arrange the teeth (6) between the retracted position (A) and the extended position (B).
  14. The piece of equipment (200) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the mechanism (5) of the bar (1) comprises a longitudinal strip (9) provided with slots (10) having an oblique segment (10a), and followers (11) arranged in the slots (10) connected to the teeth (6).
  15. The piece of equipment (200) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the mechanism (5) of the bar (1) comprises two longitudinal strips (9) with the same slots (10) arranged parallel with each other having their slots (10) aligned.
  16. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 15, characterised in that the slots (10) of the strip (9) of the bar (1) exhibit longitudinal segments (10b) at their ends.
  17. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 16, characterised in that the teeth (6) of the bar (1) are aligned.
  18. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 17, characterised in that the teeth (6) of the bar (1) are connected with each other.
  19. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 18, characterised in that the teeth (6) are equidistant.
  20. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 19, characterised in that the teeth (6) have a rectangular cross-section.
  21. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 20, characterised in that the mechanism (5) is provided with elastic means (12) suited to request the teeth (6) in the extended position (B).
  22. The piece of equipment (200) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the elastic means (12) comprise a spring (12a).
  23. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 22, characterised in that the end (2) of the bar (1) comprises a terminal closure cap (14).
  24. The piece of equipment (200) according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the cap (14) of the bar (1) is suited to support the mechanism (5).
  25. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 24, characterised in that the bar (1) comprises two equal ends (2), each one suited for receiving and supporting one or more of the weights (100).
  26. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 25, characterised in that the bar (1) is completely hollow.
  27. The piece of equipment (200) according to any one of claims 13 to 26, characterised in that the hole (101) of each weight (100) and the end (2) of the bar (1) have complementary circular cross-sections to fit tightly the one or more weights (100) at an end (2) of the bar (1).
