- the gutter elements in the art are usually made of steel, whereas the overhang elements and optionally present brackets mounted on the gutter element may be of aluminium. Rain water, collected from gutter elements made of steel is not suitable for watering plants, and cannot be reused.
- the gutter element of the invention not only the bottom wall and the side walls, but also the longitudinal overhang element is integrally formed with the gutter element, the gutter element further comprising an integrally formed upper wall for providing a substantially closed gutter chamber.
- the gutter according to the invention provides for a strong and rigid gutter element, that can be made integrally, i.e. from one piece without the need for mounting additional elements thereon, therewith enabling a relatively light material such as aluminium to be used instead of steel while keeping the required rigidity and strength, and enabling the reuse of the collected water while avoiding debris to contaminate the collected rain water.
