As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4, in the packaging body 1, the coupling portion 4 is positioned on the one side in the third direction Z1, and each round portion 2E is positioned on the other side in the third direction Z1 with respect to the position of the coupling portion 4, when viewed from the first direction X1. In the upside/downside direction, which is the third direction Z1, the packaging body 1 has a structure in which the coupling portion 4 is on the upper side, each round portion 2E is on the lower side, and only each round portion 2E is in contact with the upper surface G of the workbench. As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4, the packaging body 1 has a structure in which the round portions 2E are positioned apart from each other on both sides of the coupling portion 4 in the second direction Y1, when viewed from the first direction X1. As illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4, the packaging body 1 has a structure in which the outer structure (the peripheral surfaces 21, 22, 23, and 24) of each of the packaging materials 2 and 3 does not exist on the other side in the third direction Z1 of the coupling portion 4, when viewed from the first direction X1.
  • As described above, in the packaging method according to the embodiment, first, the packaging body 1 is placed in the first posture on the flat upper surface G of the workbench. In the packaging body 1 in this first posture, the opening of the recessed portion 20 of the packaging material 2 faces the one side in the third direction Z1, the opening of the recessed portion 20 of the packaging material 3 faces the one side in the third direction Z1, and the coupling portion 4 is positioned at the open end of the recessed portion 20 of each of the packaging materials 2 and 3. On the other hand, in the packaging method according to the embodiment, the electronic device 6 is placed in such a manner that the panel 8 faces upward and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 is positioned on the other side in the third direction Z1.
  • When the electronic device 6 is brought close to the packaging body 1 in the first posture, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 can come into contact with the coupling portion 4 of the packaging body 1, but the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is in a position where the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are not in contact with a plurality of surfaces (the upper surface 71, the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7. That is, the first posture is a pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 being in the position where the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are not in contact with the plurality of surfaces (the upper surface 71, the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the electronic device 6. Therefore, in the packaging method, the packaging body 1 is first placed in such the first posture (step S1 in FIG. 7). In the packaging body 1 in the first posture, the coupling portion 4 is on the upper side, each round portion 2E is on the lower side, and only each round portion 2E is in contact with the upper surface G of the workbench, as described above. In the packaging body 1 in the first posture, the round portions 2E are positioned apart from each other on both sides of the coupling portion 4 in the second direction Y1, when viewed from the first direction X1. In the packaging body 1 in the first posture, the outer structure (the peripheral surfaces 21, 22, 23, and 24) of each of the packaging materials 2 and 3 does not exist under the coupling portion 4, when viewed from the first direction X1.
  • Thereafter, in the packaging method according to the embodiment, the electronic device 6 is pressed against the coupling portion 4 from the first posture of the packaging body 1, as illustrated in FIGS. 2, 3, and step S2 in FIG. 7.
  • Thereafter, as illustrated in FIGS. 3, 4, 5, and step S3 of FIG. 7, in the packaging method according to the embodiment, by the principle of leverage due to the coupling portion 4 in the first posture serving as a point of effort, each round portion 2E serving as a fulcrum while moving on both sides of the coupling portion 4 in the second direction Y1, and the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D serving as points (surfaces) of load when the coupling portion 4 is pressed by the weight of the electronic device 6 or an external force load, the posture of the packaging body 1 is changed to a second posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D come into contact with the plurality of surfaces (here, the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) in order for the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 to sandwich the housing 7 of the electronic device 6. As described above, in the packaging body 1 in the second posture, the coupling portion 4 is on the upper side, each round portion 2E is on the lower side, and each round portion 2E is in contact with the upper surface G of the workbench.
  • Specifically, in step S3, in the packaging body 1, by the coupling portion 4 being pressed toward the other side (lower side) in the third direction Z1 by the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6, the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 rises with the coupling portion 4 as a base point, as illustrated in FIG. 3. Furthermore, in the packaging body 1, by the coupling portion 4 being pressed toward the other side in the third direction Z1 by the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6, a corner portion formed by the front surface 72, the left side surface 74, and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 and a corner portion formed by the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 come into the recessed portion 20 of the packaging material 2, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5. Similarly, in the packaging body 1, by the coupling portion 4 being pressed toward the other side in the third direction Z1 by the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6, a corner portion formed by the front surface 72, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 and a corner portion formed by the rear surface 73, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 come into the recessed portion 20 of the packaging material 3, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5. Eventually, by the coupling portion 4 being pressed toward the other side in the third direction Z1 by the lower surface 76 of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6, the posture of the packaging body 1 is changed to a position where the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D come into contact with the plurality of surfaces (the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) in order for the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 to sandwich the housing 7 of the electronic device 6. Specifically, in the packaging material 2, the posture of the packaging body 1 is changed to the second posture in such a manner that the third contact surface 2C and the fourth contact surface 2D facing each other among the contact surfaces are along the front surface 72 and the rear surface 73 of the housing 7 and that the first contact surface 2A and the second contact surface 2B facing in the direction in which the second direction Y1 and the third direction Z1 are combined in the first posture are along the left side surface 74 and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7. In addition, in the packaging material 3, the posture of the packaging body 1 is changed to the second posture in such a manner that the third contact surface 2C and the fourth contact surface 2D facing each other among the contact surfaces are along the front surface 72 and the rear surface 73 of the housing 7 and that the first contact surface 2A and the second contact surface 2B facing in the direction in which the second direction Y1 and the third direction Z1 are combined in the first posture are along the right side surface 75 and the lower surface 76 of the housing 7. Note that, when the first posture is changed to the second posture, each round portion 2E comes into contact with the upper surface G of the workbench, which causes the posture of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 to change smoothly. In the second posture of the packaging body 1, the coupling portion 4 is always pressed toward the other side (lower side) in the third direction Z1 by the action of gravity of the electronic device 6, and therefore, the force for sandwiching the electronic device 6 by the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 always acts due to the action of gravity of the electronic device 6. That is, if the gravity of the electronic device 6 is applied, the packaging body 1 can always generate a force for sandwiching the electronic device 6 by the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3. In a state in which the electronic device 6 is sandwiched, each round portion 2E is fully open, but since each round portion 2E is separated from the coupling portion 4 and the coupling portion 4 is not in contact with the flat upper surface G of the workbench, the force for sandwiching by the principle of leverage described above is always applied. As described above, the packaging body 1 has a structure in which the coupling portion 4 is pressed by the weight of the electronic device 6 or an external force load, and the coupling portion 4 is moved toward the other side (lower side) in the third direction Z1, whereby each round portion 2E serves as a fulcrum to easily generate a rotational moment in each of the packaging materials 2 and 3 around the coupling portion 4 at all times.
  • Thereafter, as illustrated in FIG. 6 and step S4 in FIG. 7, the electronic device 6 and the packaging body 1 are accommodated in a packaging box 10.
  • The packaging box 10 is a box that accommodates the packaging body 1 sandwiched by the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 together with the electronic device 6, and is formed of cardboard. The packaging box 10 according to the embodiment mainly has a rectangular cylindrical portion 10A extending in the third direction Z1 so as to surround the electronic device 6 and the packaging body 1 on four sides in the first direction X1 and the second direction Y1, and a bottom portion 10B closing a lower opening 10Ab of the cylindrical portion 10A. The electronic device 6 and the packaging body 1 are inserted from an upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A toward the bottom portion 10B with the packaging body 1 positioned on the lower side. Note that the electronic device 6 is surrounded by a rectangular cylindrical interference portion 10G extending in the third direction Z1 in such a manner that a panel surface 8 of the panel is surrounded on four sides in the first direction X1 and the second direction Y1.
  • The packaging box 10 further has an outer lid portion 10C extending from one side of the upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A. The outer lid portion 10C closes the upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A by being bent at 90° from one side of the upper opening 10Aa to cover the entire upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A with an outer lid body piece 10Ca, and further bent at 90° to insert an insertion piece 10Cb at the end into the inside of the cylindrical portion 10A along the other side of the upper opening 10Aa on the opposite side. Although not clearly illustrated in the drawing, the outer lid portion 10C is provided with a bent side on each side except for the one side and the other side of the upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A, and the bent side also covers the entire upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A.
  • The packaging box 10 further has an inner lid portion 10D extending from the other side of the upper opening 10Aa of the cylindrical portion 10A. The inner lid portion 10D has a folded piece 10Da folded back from the other side of the upper opening 10Aa, and an inner lid body piece 10Db folded at 90° at the end of the folded piece 10Da to cover one side of the interference portion 10G in the third direction Z1. The inner lid portion 10D constitutes a main accommodating portion 10E in which the electronic device 6 and the packaging body 1 are accommodated on the other side in the third direction Z1 where the inner lid body piece 10Db remains in contact with the upper portion of the interference portion 10G, and constitutes an auxiliary accommodating portion 10F in which accessory components of the electronic device 6 are accommodated between the inner lid body piece 10Db and the outer lid body piece 10Ca on the one side in the third direction Z1 where the inner lid body piece 10Db remains in contact with the upper portion of the interference portion 10G.
  • The electronic device 6 and the packaging body 1 are accommodated in such the packaging box 10. Then, the packaging body 1 serves as a buffer to protect the electronic device 6 when the electronic device 6 accommodated in the packaging box 10 is transported.
  • Note that the packaging body 1 is lifted from the upper surface G of the workbench when being accommodated in the packaging box 10 together with the electronic device 6. At this time, the packaging body 1 is preferably configured not to be easily removed from the electronic device 6. In this case, the packaging body 1 is configured, for example, in such a manner that the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 come into contact with the plurality of surfaces (the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6 so as to generate friction. Meanwhile, the packaging body 1 is preferably configured to remain in the packaging box 10 to be easily removed from the electronic device 6 when the electronic device 6 is taken out of the packaging box 10. In this case, the packaging body 1 is configured, for example, in such a manner that the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 come into contact with the plurality of surfaces (the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7 of the electronic device 6 not to generate friction.
  • FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a modification of the packaging body in the packaging structure according to the embodiment.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 8, the packaging body 1 may further have a locking portion 5 in addition to the above-described configuration. For example, the locking portion 5 is formed, in the vicinity of the coupling portion 4, with a protruding portion 5A protruding from an opening portion of the recessed portion 20 to the one side in the third direction Z1 in the packaging material 3 in the first posture. On the other hand, the locking portion 5 is formed with a hole portion 5B recessed from the opening portion of the recessed portion 20 in the packaging material 2 in the first posture. When the packaging body 1 is brought into the second posture, the protruding portion 5A comes into the hole portion 5B, whereby the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 meshes with each other. For this reason, the packaging body 1 is held in the second posture. Therefore, by including the locking portion 5, the packaging body 1 can retain a form for protecting the electronic device 6.
  • FIG. 9 is a perspective view of another form of a packaging body in the packaging structure according to the embodiment. FIG. 10 is a process diagram of a packaging method using the other form of the packaging body according to the embodiment. FIG. 11 is a process diagram of the packaging method using the other form of the packaging body according to the embodiment.
  • A packaging body 11 illustrated in FIG. 9 is different from the above-described packaging body 1 in that the fourth peripheral surfaces 24 are not provided in the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3. That is, the packaging body 11 does not have the fourth contact surface 2D in the packaging material 2. In addition, the packaging body 11 does not have the fourth contact surface 2D in the packaging material 3. Since other components of the packaging body 11 are similar to those of the packaging body 1, the same reference signs as those of the packaging body 1 are attached to equivalent portions, and the description thereof is omitted.
  • The packaging body 11 can be applied to an electronic device 6', which is a packaging target, as illustrated in FIGS. 10 and 11. In the electronic device 6', the panel 8 of the electronic device 6 is not illustrated, and the housing 7 formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape has an upper surface 71 facing the one side in the third direction Z1, a front surface 72 facing the one side in the first direction X1, a rear surface 73 facing the other side in the first direction X1, a left side surface 74 facing the one side in the second direction Y1, a right side surface 75 facing the other side in the second direction Y1, and a lower surface 76 facing the other side in the third direction Z1. The housing 7 of the electronic device 6' is larger than that of the electronic device 6 described above. The packaging body 1 for packaging the electronic device 6 described above is configured in such a manner that the packaging body 1 comes into contact with the five surfaces (the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7 by itself alone, but this may be difficult in a case of the relatively large housing 7 of the electronic device 6'.
  • Therefore, as illustrated in FIG. 9 for the packaging body 11, the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is configured to each have three surfaces of the first contact surface 2A, the second contact surface 2B, and the third contact surface 2C in order for one packaging body 11 to come into contact with the four surfaces (the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7 and in order for another packaging body 11 to come into contact with the four surfaces (the front surface 72, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7, whereby the two packaging bodies 11 come into contact with the five surfaces (the front surface 72, the rear surface 73, the left side surface 74, the right side surface 75, and the lower surface 76) of the housing 7.
  • With this configuration, even a relatively large packaging target can be packaged using a similar configuration.
  • FIG. 12 is a side view of another form of a packaging body in the packaging structure according to the embodiment.
  • The packaging target illustrated in FIG. 12 is assumed to be, for example, a vase 6". The outer shape of the vase 6" is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape whose outer peripheral surface 77 constitutes a curved surface facing 360° in multiple directions around the vase 6" in the horizontal direction including the first direction X1 and the second direction Y1, and the vase 6" also has a lower surface 78 facing the other side (lower side in FIG. 12) in the third direction Z1.
  • For the vase 6", a packaging body 12 having a packaging structure therefor includes a pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 capable of coming into contact with a plurality of surfaces 77 and 78 of the vase 6", which is the packaging target, and a coupling portion 4 coupling the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3. Then, when the vase 6" is pressed against the coupling portion 4, the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 changes its posture from a first posture in which a contact surface 2F along the plurality of surfaces 77 and 78 of the vase 6" is not in contact (not illustrated) to a second posture in which the contact surface 2F comes into contact with the plurality of surfaces 77 and 78 to sandwich the vase 6" as illustrated in FIG. 12.
  • The packaging structure of the above-described embodiment includes the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 each having the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F capable of coming into contact with the plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 of the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", which is a packaging target, the coupling portion 4 coupling the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3, and a round portion 2E provided outside of each of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3, and in contact with the upper surface G of the workbench in a state of being placed on the upper surface G, the round portions positioned under the coupling portion 4 and apart from each other on both sides of the coupling portion 4, in which when the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6" is pressed against the coupling portion 4 in the state of being placed on the upper surface G, the coupling portion 4 serves as a point of effort, and each round portion 2E serves as a fulcrum, and the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 serves as points of load, whereby a posture is changed from the first posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F are not in contact with the plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 of the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6" to the second posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F come into contact with the plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 to sandwich the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6".
  • According to the packaging structure, by pressing the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6" against the coupling portion 4, the pair of packaging materials 2, 3 changes its posture to sandwich the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", whereby it is possible to easily and reliably perform the packaging work and to improve the workability. Moreover, according to the packaging structure, it is also possible to achieve automation of packaging.
  • In addition, in the packaging structure of the embodiment, the packaging target is the electronic device 6 or 6', and has the rectangular parallelepiped housing 7, the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is each formed with the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D in the recessed portion 20 that receives the corner portion of the housing 7, and the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is changed from the first posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are inclined with respect to the surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76 of the housing 7 to the second posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are along the surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76 of the housing 7.
  • According to the packaging structure, for the rectangular parallelepiped housing 7 of the electronic device 6 or 6', the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is configured to be changed from the first posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are not in contact with the surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76 to the second posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D are along the surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76. Therefore, the packaging structure can improve the workability of packaging the rectangular parallelepiped housing 7 of the electronic device 6 or 6'.
  • In addition, in the packaging structure of the embodiment, the coupling portion 4 is formed in a linear shape so as to be deformable to change the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 between the first posture and the second posture, and is disposed so as to be perpendicular to at least one of the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D.
  • According to the packaging structure, by disposing the coupling portion 4 against which the rectangular parallelepiped housing 7 of the electronic device 6 or 6' is pressed so as to be perpendicular to at least one of the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D, the pressing position of the housing 7 can be easily aligned with the coupling portion 4, whereby it is possible to further improve the workability of packaging the rectangular parallelepiped housing 7 of the electronic device 6 or 6'.
  • In addition, the packaging structure of the embodiment includes a navigation device (electronic device 6) including the housing 7 and the panel 8, the above-described packaging body 1 for packaging the housing 7 of the navigation device, and the packaging box 10 for accommodating the navigation device (electronic device 6) and the packaging body 1.
  • According to the packaging structure, it is possible to improve the workability of packaging the navigation device (electronic device 6) and ensure reliable packaging.
  • In addition, the packaging method of the embodiment uses the packaging body 1, 11, or 12 having a pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 including contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F capable of coming into contact with a plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 of the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", which is a packaging target, a coupling portion 4 coupling the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3, and the round portion 2E provided outside of each of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3, and in contact with the upper surface G of the workbench in a state of being placed on the upper surface G, the round portions being positioned under the coupling portion 4 and apart from each other on both sides of the coupling portion 4, and the method includes a step of placing the packaging body 1, 11, or 12 on the upper surface G in such a manner that the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is in the first posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F are not in contact with the plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 of the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", a step of pressing the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6" against the coupling portion 4 from the first posture, and a step of changing, by the coupling portion 4 being pressed by the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", the posture of the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 to the second posture in which the contact surfaces 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, and 2F come into contact with the plurality of surfaces 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 78 to sandwich the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6".
  • According to the packaging method, by pressing the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6" against the coupling portion 4, the pair of packaging materials 2, 3 changes the posture to sandwich the electronic device 6 or 6' or the vase 6", whereby it is possible to easily perform the packaging work and improve the workability. Moreover, according to the packaging method, it is also possible to achieve automation of packaging.
  • The coupling portion 4 of the packaging structure of the embodiment may have a hinge structure as long as the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 is formed to be rotatable about an X axis along the first direction X as a rotation axis, or the pair of packaging materials 2 and 3 may be coupled and formed to be rotatable by magnetic force.
