Abstract

In a first aspect of the present disclosure, there is presented a method for power control, maximizing sum of spectral efficiencies, SEs, in a radio unit communicatively connected to a user equipment in a communications system. The method comprises computing a gradient vector, h ' (pi'''), iteratively based on a perturbed channel information vector, h', and an optimized power control vector, pi'''. Here i is an integer iteration number denoting an i-th iteration. The method further comprises determining a virtual perturbation vector, δi + 1, based on the computed gradient vector, h ' (pi'''). Until the iteration number, i+1, is equal to a pre-defined number of iterations, i max , the method further comprises performing the steps of the computing and the determining iteratively. When the iteration number, i+1, is equal to the pre-defined number of iterations, i max ,the method further comprises outputting a final optimized power control vector, pi max '''.
