Abstract

Accessory (10) for tilt and turn doors or windows (100), comprising: a guide body (11) fixable to a side of a sash (100); a slide (13) slidable with respect to the guide body (11) and provided with connecting members (14) with a manoeuvring device (103) operable by a control element (104); a connecting arm (15) connecting the guide body (11) to a joint hinge (102) of the sash (100) to the fixed frame and having a first end (15a) jointed to the guide body (11) with a roto-translation motion, and a second end (15b) connectable to a movable component of a joint hinge (102); at least one catch (19) coupled to the connecting arm (15); selector elements (24) coupled to the slide (13) and configured to engage and disengage the catch (19) following the sliding of the slide (13) according to a predefinable sequence of engaging and disengaging positions corresponding to closing, tilt and turn positions, wherein the selector members (24) comprise at least one base body (25) coupled to the slide (13) and having at a first end at least one first engaging seat (27) for the catch (19), and at least one insert body (26) coupled to the base body (25) and having, arranged adjacent to each other, at least one second engaging seat (28) for the catch (19) and a recess (29) defining a free disengaging zone from the catch (19), and wherein the insert body (26) is reversibly connected to the base body (25) between a first position, in which the recess (29) is adjacent to the first engaging seat (27), and a second position, in which the second engaging seat (28) is adjacent to the first engaging seat (27).

Description

  • The present invention relates to an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows.
  • The present invention further relates to an opening and closing system for tilt and turn doors or windows.
  • Opening and closing systems for doors or windows that allow a sash to be opened alternatively in turn or tilt mode, as well as to be closed by being constrained to the fixed frame, are known for a long time.
  • Generally, such opening and closing systems comprise cylindrical hinges by means of which a post of the sash is rotatably connected to a corresponding post of the fixed frame around a first substantially vertical axis, allowing the turn opening of the sash.
  • Such hinges are structured so as to also allow the tilt opening of the sash by rotation of the same around a second substantially horizontal axis defined at a cross-piece thereof, generally the lower one.
  • Such second rotation axis is defined by the lower cylindrical hinge, whose pin is made integral with the sash with the possibility of inclination with respect to the fixed frame, and by a closing element of the sash, generally consisting of a tip or the like and arranged at the post of the sash opposite to that hinged to the fixed frame, or at the lower cross-piece of the sash, with possibility of inclination with respect to the fixed frame.
  • In the case of tilt opening, the upper cross-piece of the sash moves away from the fixed frame. The known systems therefore comprise an accessory adapted to support the sash at its upper cross-piece in tilt position, limiting its inclination angle with respect to the fixed frame.
  • Such an accessory, known in the jargon of the field as an "arm" or "scissor", generally comprises:
    • a guide body configured to be fixed to the upper cross-piece of the sash;
    • a slide (generally consisting of a rod) slidable with respect to the guide body (and, generally, below it) along the upper cross-piece of the sash and provided with connecting elements for connecting with a manoeuvring device which is adapted to move it in sliding along the upper cross-piece and which is mounted on the sash and operable by a control member (e.g., handle or knob);
    • a connecting arm having a first end jointed to the guide body with a roto-translation motion and a second end configured to be connected to a movable portion of the upper cylindrical hinge by which the sash is coupled to the fixed frame (the upper hinge is mounted on the fixed frame and the movable component thereof is coupled to the sash by the connecting arm);
    • at least one catch which is coupled to the connecting arm and which protrudes from the face thereof facing the slide;
    • selector members which are coupled to the slide in such a way as to slide integrally with it and configured to engage and disengage the catch following the sliding of the slide according to a predefinable sequence of engaging and disengaging positions corresponding to closing, tilt and turn positions of the sash.
  • The manoeuvring device is generally of the cremone-bolt type, also comprising and manoeuvring closing elements (tips, catches, lock bolts or the like) adapted to constrain the sash in closing position on the fixed frame following the engagement in respective strikers fixed or obtained in the fixed frame itself.
  • The control member generally consists of a handle rotatable with respect to a rotation axis orthogonal to the plane of the sash, between three different positions reachable by successive rotations of about 90°, and respectively corresponding to the closing position, the turn position, and the tilt position of the sash.
  • The selector members comprise at least one striker configured to engage and disengage the catch following the sliding of the slide to which they are integral.
  • When the catch is engaged in a striker, the connecting arm is completely constrained to the upper cross-piece of the sash, as any movement with respect to it is prevented. It is thus possible to manoeuvre the sash in the closing position or in the turn position, while the tilt opening is prevented.
  • When instead the catch is disengaged from the strikers, the connecting arm is constrained to the upper cross-piece of the sash only by means of its first end, which is jointed to the guide body and, therefore, to the upper cross-piece of the sash with a roto-translation motion. The second end of the connecting arm, instead, is fixed to the movable portion of the upper hinge mounted on frame. It is thus possible to manoeuvre the sash in the tilt position according to a maximum opening angle.
  • Two different manoeuvring sequences of the sash are required on the market, depending on the positions of the control element (handle), so-called "standard" and "logic" sequences.
  • The "standard" sequence provides that three successive positions of the control element, generally reachable by successive rotations of about 90°, correspond in sequence to the closing position, the turn position and the tilt position of the sash, and vice versa.
  • In such case, the selector members must be provided with a striker that engages the catch for the entire sliding stroke of the slide corresponding to the rotation (generally of about 90°) of the handle between the closed position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the posts of the sash and facing downward) and the turn position, disengaging from the striker only in the subsequent stroke of the slide corresponding to the rotation (generally of about 90°) of the handle between the turn position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the cross-pieces of the sash) and the tilt position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the posts of the sash and facing upward), and vice versa.
  • The "logic" sequence provides that three successive positions of the control element, generally reachable by successive rotations of about 90°, correspond in sequence to the closing position, the tilt position, and the turn position of the sash, and vice versa.
  • In such a case, the selector members must be provided with a striker that disengages the catch in the sliding stroke of the slide corresponding to the rotation (generally of about 90°) of the handle between the closed position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the posts of the sash and facing downward) and the tilt position, engaging it again in the subsequent stroke of the slide corresponding to the rotation (generally of about 90°) of the handle between the tilt position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the cross-pieces of the sash) and the turn position (in which the handle is generally aligned parallel to the posts of the sash and facing upward), and vice versa.
  • In order to make such two different manoeuvring sequences, it is known to differently structure such an accessory ("arm") already at the production stage, providing it with differently structured selector members or providing it with different connecting arms having two catches fixed at different distances from each other.
  • Such a solution involves the need to produce a plurality of different components (selector members and/or connecting arms) and to arrange different kits for setting up different accessories for tilt and turn opening according to the "standard" sequence or the "logic" sequence, with consequent complications in terms of production and warehousing, which result in increased costs.
  • In order to overcome such problems, EP3274534B1 proposes to provide the connecting arm with two catches, of which a first catch is coupled to the connecting arm in a fixed position and a second catch is removably coupled to the connecting arm in one of two possible positions having a different distance with respect to the first catch. The two possible positions of the second catch are defined by two through holes formed in the connecting arm, and into each of which a portion of the second catch is insertable. The second catch is then made integral with the connecting arm by a screw that is screwed in a threaded hole formed in the second catch, and whose head rests in a seat formed on the face of the connecting arm opposite to that from which the second catch protrudes. A pair of elastic wings retains the second catch anchored to the hole to which it is to be fixed, in order to facilitate the operations of screwing and unscrewing the screw.
  • Such a solution allows the same accessory to be configured depending on the desired opening sequence by the final mounter.
  • However, such solution necessarily provides a pair of catches and to obtain, in the connecting arm, three holes at calibrated distances from each other, respectively for fixing the first catch and for removably connecting the second catch in one of the two possible intended positions, with consequent production and warehousing costs. Furthermore, in this, the second catch is constrained to the connecting arm by the final mounter by screwing and unscrewing the respective retaining screw therein. In addition to complicating mounting operations, such a threaded connection can loosen in use, resulting in malfunction issues.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows that is an alternative to the known solutions and that overcomes the drawbacks thereof.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows that allows to further simplify the producing and mounting steps.
  • A further object is to provide an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows that ensures a stable and durable support of the sash.
  • Another object of the present invention is to make an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows that is particularly simple and functional, with reduced costs.
  • These objects, according to the present invention, are achieved by making an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows as set forth in claim 1.
  • Further features are provided in the dependent claims.
  • The features and advantages of an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows according to the present invention will become more apparent from the following illustrative and not limiting description referred to the attached schematic drawings, in which:

  • With reference to the attached figures, number 10 overall indicates an accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows.
  • The accessory 10 is part of an opening and closing system for tilt and turn doors or windows, in which a sash 100 is rotatably coupled to a fixed frame (not shown) around a hinge axis A-A by means of joint hinges 102 (only partially depicted), generally a pair of cylindrical hinges, of which one upper and one lower, jointing a post of the sash 100 to a corresponding post of the fixed frame.
  • Such a system then comprises a manoeuvring device 103 operable by a control element 104, and by which the movable components of closing elements adapted to constrain the sash 100 to the fixed frame in the closing position of the door or window are moved.
  • The closing elements can comprise tips and/or pawls and/or lock bolts fixed to rods axially slidingly mounted along perimetral portions of the sash 100 and adapted to engage in corresponding striking seats fixed or formed along perimetral portions of the fixed frame.
  • The joint hinges 102 and the closing elements are configured to allow the sash 100 to be opened both in turn mode, that is, by rotation around the hinge axis A-A, and in tilt mode, that is, by rotation around an axis parallel to the cross-pieces of the sash 100 and, generally, defined at the lower cross-piece of the sash 100.
  • The joint hinges 102 and the closing elements are not depicted and described in detail, being of a type known to a person skilled in the art.
  • Preferably, both the sash 100 and the fixed frame comprise perimetral profiles along which there are channels which house components of the opening and closing system. The attached figures show a segment of a possible perimetral profile 110 of the sash 100 which, at the extrados, has a channel 111 in which rods for transmitting and returning the movements actuated by the manoeuvring device 103 following controls given through the control element 104 are axially slidingly accommodated. Such rods are coupled both to the closing elements (pawls, tips, lock bolts) and to the movable components of the accessory 10.
  • Generally, the manoeuvring device 103 is mounted on the post of the sash 100 opposite to that jointed to the fixed frame.
  • The control element 104 allows the operation of the manoeuvring device 103 to be controlled from the outside; for example, it consists of a handle that can be mounted on the sash 100 rotatably around a rotation axis B-B orthogonal to the plane of the sash 100.
  • The manoeuvring device 103, the control elements 104, and the transmission and return rods are not depicted or described in detail, being of a type known to a person skilled in the art.
  • Preferably, the control element 104 is rotatable around the rotation axis B-B by an overall angle substantially equal to 180°, being able to assume, following successive rotations of about 90° in either rotation directions, three operative positions corresponding to three operative positions of the opening and closing system and, as will be seen, of the accessory 10, according to a pre-definable sequence.
  • With reference to the exemplified embodiment, the control element 104 can assume:
    • A first operative position (Figures 4 and 8) corresponding to a closing position of the sash 100 on the fixed frame, that is, a position in which the sash is in the closing position of the door or window and is constrained to the fixed frame by engaging of the closing elements in the respective striking seats; in the case where the control element 104 consists of a handle, the latter is generally aligned with the respective post of the sash 100 and facing downward.
    • A second operative position (Figures 5 and 9), reachable following a rotation of about 90° in the counterclockwise direction starting from the first operative position and corresponding to an opening position of the sash 100 with respect to the fixed frame, that is, a position in which the closing elements are disengaged from the respective striking seats and the sash 100 can be moved away from the fixed frame to open the door or window; in the case where the control element 104 consists of a handle, the latter is generally aligned parallel to the cross-pieces of the sash 100.
    • A third operative position (Figures 6 and 10), reachable following a rotation of about 90° in the counterclockwise direction starting from the second operative position and corresponding to an opening position of the sash 100 with respect to the fixed frame, that is, a position in which the closing elements are disengaged from the respective striking seats and the sash 100 can be moved away from the fixed frame to open the door or window; in the case where the control element 104 consists of a handle, the latter is generally aligned with the respective post of the sash 100 and facing upward.
  • The second and third operative positions can respectively correspond to a turn position and a tilt position ("standard" sequence, Figures 5 and 6) or vice versa ("logic" sequence, Figures 9 and 10), depending on how the accessory 10 is configured.
  • The accessory 10 comprises a guide body 11 configured to be fixed to a side of the sash 100; preferably to the upper cross-piece of the sash 100 and, advantageously, to the channel 111.
  • The guide body 11 can be fixed to the channel 111 by means of threaded elements of the type of grains 12 or the like.
  • The accessory 10 then comprises a slide 13 slidable with respect to the guide body 11 along a sliding direction D-D which, in use, extends parallel to the longitudinal development of the side of the sash 100 to which the guide body 11 is fixed, and which, in the depicted example, consists of the upper cross-piece of the sash 100.
  • The slide 13 is provided with connecting members 14 with the manoeuvring device 103 which is adapted to move it in sliding along the sliding direction D-D.
  • The slide 13 advantageously has the shape of a flat rod and is configured to be accommodated in the channel 111, generally below the guide body 11.
  • The connecting members 14 can consist of protrusions and/or holes by which the slide 13 is connectable to the manoeuvring device 103 by transmission and return rods (not depicted).
  • The accessory 10 then comprises a connecting arm 15 configured to connect the guide body 11 to a joint hinge 102 by which the sash 100 is coupable to the fixed frame; generally, the upper joint hinge 102.
  • The connecting arm 15 has:
    • a first end 15a jointed to the guide body 11 with a roto-translation motion, said first end 15a being slidable along a direction having a component substantially parallel to the sliding direction D-D and rotatable around a rotation axis C-C substantially orthogonal to the sliding direction D-D;
    • a second end 15b configured to be connected to a movable component of the (upper) joint hinge 102.
  • The first end 15a is rotatable around a pin 16 defining the rotation axis C-C, and which is slidably housed along a slot 17 formed in the guide body 11 and extending parallel to the sliding direction D-D.
  • The second end 15b, for example, has an angular portion that is fixable to a movable component of the joint hinge 102, for example by grains 18 or the like.
  • The accessory 10 then comprises at least one catch 19 which is coupled to the connecting arm 15 in a defined position between the first end 15a and the second end 15b thereof. The catch 19 protrudes from the face of the connecting arm 15 facing the slide 13.
  • Preferably, the position along the axial development of the connecting arm 15 at which the catch 19 is coupled is fixed. Such position is, for example, uniquely defined by a single through hole 20. The catch 19 can be coupled to the connecting arm 15 by a rigid, complete and, advantageously, permanent connection, such as for example by riveting, or by a partial and adjustable connection configured to allow the rotation of the catch 19 around its longitudinal axis and/or the translation of the catch 19 along its longitudinal axis, this for example if the catch 19 is configured to allow "pressure" adjustments.
  • The catch 19 can consist of a pin or peg with an enlarged and/or cam-shaped (eccentric) head.
  • As will become clearer below, the accessory 10 can also comprise only a single catch 19, still being configurable to make either a "standard" opening sequence or a "logic" opening sequence without modifying the position of the catch 19 along the axial development of the connecting arm 15.
  • Preferably, the accessory 10 can comprise a connecting rod 21 jointed at the opposite ends respectively to the guide body 13 and to the connecting arm 15 by respective jointing pins 22, 23.
  • The accessory 10 then comprises selector members 24 which are coupled to the slide 13 in such a way as to slide integrally with it and configured to engage and disengage the catch 19, following the sliding of the slide 13 itself, according to a predefinable sequence of engaging and disengaging positions corresponding to the closing, tilt and turn positions of the sash 100 with respect to the fixed frame.
  • According to the present invention, the selector members 24 comprise:
    • at least one base body 25 coupled to the slide 13 in such a way as to slide integrally with it, and
    • at least one insert body 26 reversibly coupled to the base body 25 between a first position and a second position, respectively corresponding to a "logic" opening sequence and a "traditional" opening sequence.
  • The base body 25 has, in proximity to a first end thereof, at least one first engaging seat 27 for engagement with the catch 19, so as to constrain the connecting arm 15 to the slide 13 in a first engaging position corresponding to the closing position of the sash 100 on the fixed frame.
  • The insert body 26 has, being arranged adjacent to each other:
    • at least one second engaging seat 28 for engagement with the catch 19, so as to constrain the connecting arm 15 to the slide 13 in a second engaging position corresponding to the turn position of the sash 100 with respect to the fixed frame, and
    • a recess 29 defining a free disengaging zone of the catch 19, so as to release the connecting arm 15 from the slide 13 in a disengaging position corresponding to the tilt position of the sash 100 with respect to the fixed frame.
  • The insert body 26 is coupled to the base body 25 reversibly between two positions:
    • a first position, in which the recess 29 is adjacent to the first engaging seat 27; in such case, therefore, the first engaging seat 27, the recess 29, and the second engaging seat 28 are arranged subsequently to each other;
    • a second position, in which the second engaging seat 28 is adjacent to the first engaging seat 27; in such case, therefore, the first engaging seat 27, the second engaging seat 28, and the recess 29 are arranged subsequently to each other.
  • In the first position of the insert body 26, therefore, the recess 29 is interposed between the first engaging seat 27 and the second engaging seat 28.
  • In the first position of the insert body 26, the first engaging position, the disengaging position and the second engaging position of the catch 19 follow each other following the sliding of the slide 13 operated by the manoeuvring device 103, which is in turn operated by means of the control element 104. In this case, the three different successive positions of the control element 104 respectively correspond to the closing position, the tilt position, and the turn position of the sash 100, according to a "logic" opening sequence.
  • This is clearly shown in Figures 8, 9, and 10, which show the insert body 26 coupled to the base body 25 in the first position:
    • Figure 8 shows the accessory 10 in the closing position of the sash 100. The catch 19 is engaged in the first engaging seat 27, constraining the connecting arm 15 to the slide 13. The connecting arm 15 is therefore constrained to the assembly consisting of the guide body 11 and the slide 13 in a rigid, complete and temporary manner. That is, any movement of the connecting arm 15 with respect to the guide body 11 is prevented. The control element 104 is in its first position. The closing elements - not shown and which, as will be seen, can also comprise a further auxiliary catch 30 coupled to the connecting arm 15 - are engaged in the respective striking and/or engaging seats on the fixed frame. The sash 100 is thus constrained to the fixed frame in the closing position.
    • Figure 9 shows the accessory 10 in the tilt position of the sash 100. Following a rotation of about 90° in the counterclockwise direction of the control element 104, the latter reaches its second position. Consequently, the slide 13 has been moved in sliding motion along the channel 111 by a corresponding stroke (in the drawing, from left to right), bringing the recess 29 at the catch 19. The catch 19 is thus disengaged from the slide 13 and, therefore, the connecting arm 15 is released from the slide 13. The second end 15b of the connecting arm 15 can thus rotate around the hinge axis A-A, while its first end 15a can perform roto-translation motions with respect to the guide body 11; this allows the upper cross-piece of the sash 100 to be moved away from the fixed frame following a rotation/inclination of the sash 100 itself with respect to a rotation axis defined at its lower cross-piece, parallel thereto, and generally identified by components of the lower joint hinge and by closing elements (e.g., tip), in a way that is known per se and therefore not described or shown. The closing elements - including the possible further auxiliary catch 30 - are disengaged from the respective striking and/or engaging seats. The sash 100 is thus in the tilt position, retained at its upper cross-piece by the connecting arm 15, which limits its opening angle.
    • Figure 10 shows the accessory 10 in the turn position of the sash 100. Following a further rotation of about 90° in the counterclockwise direction of the control element 104, the latter reaches its third position. Such manoeuvre is performed with the sash 100 placed close to the fixed frame in the position corresponding to the closing position. Consequently, the slide 13 has been moved in sliding along the channel 111 by a corresponding further stroke (in the drawing, from left to right), bringing the second engaging seat 28 at the catch 19. The catch 19 is thus constrained to the slide 13, and therefore the connecting arm 15 is constrained to the slide 13. As in the case shown in Figure 8, the connecting arm 15 is thus constrained to the assembly consisting of the guide body 11 and the slide 13 in a rigid, complete, and temporary manner. That is, any movement of the connecting arm 15 with respect to the guide body 11 is prevented. The closing elements (also including the possible auxiliary catch 30), instead, are disengaged from the respective striking and/or engaging seats, as in the case of Figure 9. The sash 100 is thus constrained to the fixed frame solely by means of the joint hinges 102, thereby rotating around the hinge axis A-A to allow the turn opening.
  • As is known and apparent, the manoeuvres for moving the control element 104, and consequently the manoeuvring device 103 and the movable components operated thereby (transmission and return rods, closing elements, and slide 13), are carried out with the sash 100 placed close to the fixed frame in the closing position.
  • In the second position of the insert body 26, instead, the second engaging seat 28 is interposed between the first engaging seat 27 and the recess 29.
  • In the second position of the insert body 26, therefore, the first engaging position, the second engaging position, and the disengaging position of the catch 19 follow each other following the sliding of the slide 13 operated by the manoeuvring device 103, which is in turn operated by means of the control element 104. In this case, the three different successive positions of the control element 104 respectively correspond to the closing position, the turn position, and the tilt position of the sash 100, according to a "traditional" opening sequence.
  • This is clearly shown in Figures 4, 5, and 6, which show the insert body 26 coupled to the base body 25 in the second position:
    • Figure 4 shows the accessory 10 in the closing position of the sash 100, the catch 19 being engaged in the first engaging seat 27, as in the case shown in Figure 8.
    • Figure 5 shows the accessory 10 in the turn position of the sash 100, the catch 19 being engaged in the second engaging seat 28, as in the case of Figure 10.
    • Figure 6 shows the accessory 10 in the tilt position of the sash 100, the catch 19 being arranged at the free zone defined by the recess 29, as in Figure 9.
  • It can be noted that, in such case, by inverting the position of the insert body 26, the order in which the second engaging seat 28 and the recess 29 follow the first engaging seat 27 is reversed compared to the previous case. Therefore, the order in which the tilt and turn positions follow each other in the sequence of manoeuvres operated by the manoeuvring device 103, following controls (rotations) given to the control element 104, is reversed. In such case (Figures 4, 5, and 6), indeed, starting from the closing position (Figure 4), the turn position (Figure 5) and then the tilt position (Figure 6) follow each other.
  • It is noted that the variation in the order in which the closing, tilt, and turn positions follow each other to make either a "standard" or "logic" sequence is achieved solely by modifying (reversing) the position of the insert body 26. The catch 19 is still the same and is kept in a fixed position along the axial development of the connecting arm 15.
  • Advantageously, such operation is made easier and quicker by coupling the insert body 26 to the base body 25, which is preferably a removable coupling of the type of a male/female, interlock, snap-fit, shape or similar coupling.
  • Even more advantageously, such a coupling is made by at least one male protrusion 31 formed in one of the insert body 26 and the base body 25 and insertable into at least one respective female housing 32 formed in the other of the insert body 26 and the base body 25.
  • In the exemplified embodiment, the base body 25 comprises a pair of protrusions 31 which are removably inserted into corresponding female housings 32 (openings) obtained in the insert body 26.
  • Advantageously, the base body 25 comprises, along its longitudinal development, a coupling portion 250 with the insert body 26. Such coupling portion 250 is adjacent to the first engaging seat 27. In the exemplified embodiment, such coupling portion 250 has the shape of a bar, and the pair of protrusions 31 is formed thereat.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the base body 25 comprises, in proximity to a second end axially opposite to its first end, a third engaging seat 33 for an auxiliary catch 30. Advantageously, if present, the coupling portion 250 extends longitudinally between the first engaging seat 27 and the third engaging seat 33. The auxiliary catch 30 is coupled to the connecting arm 15 in a defined position between the catch 19 and the second end 15b of the connecting arm 15. The second catch 30 protrudes from the face of the connecting arm 15 facing the slide 13. The auxiliary catch 30 can consist of a peg or pin and can have an enlarged and/or shaped head, for example cam-shaped. If present, the auxiliary catch 30 is preferably coupled to the connecting arm 15 by an adjustable connection configured to allow the rotation of the auxiliary catch 30 around its longitudinal axis and/or the translation thereof along its longitudinal axis, this for example to allow "pressure" adjustments. Even in such case, however, the position of the auxiliary catch 30 along the axial development of the connecting arm 15 is fixed and is not modified as the configuration of the accessory 10 varies to make a "standard" or "logic" sequence of manoeuvres.
  • If present, the auxiliary catch 30 is advantageously adjustably coupled to the connecting arm 15, while the catch 19 is not. The auxiliary catch 30 makes an auxiliary closing point and could be omitted.
  • As is clear from the attached figures, the auxiliary catch 30 is engaged in the respective third engaging seat 33 only when the accessory 10 is moved to the closing position of the sash 100 (Figures 4 and 8), being disengaged therefrom in both the tilt and turn positions, regardless of the order by which they follow each other (Figures 5 and 6 and Figures 9 and 10).
  • That is, the third engaging seat 33 is arranged to engage the auxiliary catch 30 when the catch 19 is engaged in the first engaging seat 27, and to disengage the auxiliary catch 30 when the catch 19 is engaged in the second engaging seat 28 and/or disengaged at the free zone defined by the recess 29.
  • The base body 25 then comprises connecting members 34 with the slide 13, which can, for example, comprise holes in which protrusions formed in the slide 13 can be inserted and/or vice versa, and/or grooves in which a corresponding portion of the slide 13 is accommodated, and/or threaded elements or the like.
  • Advantageously, the insert body 26 comprises a flat portion 260 along whose longitudinal development parallel to the sliding direction D-D a first section at which the second engaging seat 28 is formed and a second free section defining the recess 29 follow each other.
  • The insert body 26 advantageously comprises a coupling portion 261 copying/complementary to the coupling portion 250 defined in the base body 25.
  • In the exemplified embodiment, the coupling portion 261 consists of an inverted U-shaped channelling in which the bar-shaped coupling portion 250 is accommodated, and whose "bottom" consists of the flat portion 260. Advantageously, the holes 32 are formed at the flat portion 260.
  • Each of the first engaging seat 27 and the second engaging seat 28 comprises a pair of facing and substantially parallel sides 270, 280 extending parallel to the sliding direction D-D, delimiting a longitudinal groove in which the catch 19 is insertable by sliding.
  • Preferably, the sides 270, 280 have, at the top, respective fins 271, 281 that delimit a slit narrower than the groove delimited thereby. In such case, advantageously, the catch 19 has an enlarged head that is arranged below such fins 271, 281.
  • At the recess 29, the flat portion 260 is free of sides or lateral walls or similar, so as to leave the catch 19 free to slide along directions transverse to the sliding direction D-D on a plane containing the connecting arm 15.
  • The possible third engaging seat 33 comprises a pair of facing and substantially parallel sides 330 extending parallel to the sliding direction D-D, delimiting a longitudinal groove in which the auxiliary catch 30 is insertable by sliding.
  • Advantageously, the sides 330 consist of flat walls (i.e., without fins).
  • The base body 25 and/or the insert body 26 can advantageously have, along their longitudinal edges, respective longitudinal fins 251 and 262 projecting outward and advantageously configured to engage in the channel 111.
  • It is apparent from the above that the use of adjectives such as "first", "second", "third", or the like, has no limiting purpose.
  • Subject-matter of the present invention is also an opening and closing system for tilt and turn doors or windows 100, comprising:
    • at least one joint hinge 102 by which the sash 100 is rotatably coupable to the fixed frame of a door or window around a hinge axis A-A;
    • an accessory 10 as described above and adapted to be mounted on a side of the sash 100;
    • a manoeuvring device 103 that is coupable to the slide 13 and to move it in sliding along the sliding direction D-D, and which is operable by a control element 104, wherein such manoeuvring device 103 is configured to be mounted on a side of the sash 100.
  • Preferably, the accessory 10 is configured to be mounted on the upper cross-piece of the sash 100, and the manoeuvring device 103 is configured to be mounted on the post of the sash 100 opposite to that hinged to the fixed frame by the joint hinges 102.
  • Subject-matter of the present invention is also a door or window with a sash 100 coupled to a fixed frame by an opening and closing system as described above, wherein:
    • a side of the sash 100 (generally a post) is rotatably coupled to the fixed frame around the hinge axis A-A by joint hinges 102 configured to allow both the tilt and turn opening of the sash 100 itself,
    • on the side of the sash 100 opposite to the hinged one, the manoeuvring device 103 with control element 104 is mounted;
    • on a side (generally a cross-piece and, advantageously, the upper cross-piece) of the sash 100, the accessory 10 is mounted, with the guide body 11 fixed to the sash, the second end 15b of the connecting arm 15 fixed to a movable component of a joint hinge 102, and the slide 13 connected to a transmission and/or return rod operated by the manoeuvring device 103.
  • The mounting and operation of an accessory 10 according to the present invention are immediately clear from the above description and from the attached figures.
  • The present invention has the advantage of allowing the modification of the manoeuvring sequence of a sash with a single accessory, without requiring the use of different selector members (strikers) and/or different connecting arms, and without necessarily requiring the provision of at least two catches, the fixing position on the connecting arm of at least one of which would need to be modified by laborious operations.
  • In order to modify the manoeuvring sequence of the sash (converting it from "standard" to "logic" or vice versa), it is sufficient to reverse the position of the insert body. This advantageously occurs without needing to unscrew and re-screw any component, thus eliminating risks of loosening of threaded couplings and the consequent malfunction issues.
  • The accessory for tilt and turn doors or windows, thus conceived, is susceptible to numerous modifications and variants, all falling within the invention; furthermore, all details are replaceable by technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as well as the dimensions, can be any depending on the technical requirements.

Claims (11)

  1. Accessory (10) for tilt and turn doors or windows (100), comprising:
    - a guide body (11) configured to be fixed to a side of a sash (100);
    - a slide (13) slidable with respect to said guide body (11) along a sliding direction (D-D) and provided with connecting members (14) with a manoeuvring device (103) mounted on said sash (100) and operable by a control element (104);
    - a connecting arm (15) configured to connect said guide body (11) to a joint hinge (102) by which said sash (100) is coupable to the fixed frame of said door or window, and having:
    - a first end (15a) jointed to said guide body (11) with a roto-translation motion, said first end (15a) being slidable along a direction having a component substantially parallel to said sliding direction (D-D) and rotatable around a rotation axis (C-C) substantially orthogonal to said sliding direction (D-D);
    - a second end (15b) configured to be connected to a movable component of said joint hinge (102);
    - at least one catch (19) that is coupled to said connecting arm (15) in a defined position between said first end (15a) and said second end (15b) of said connecting arm (15), wherein said catch (19) protrudes from the face of said connecting arm (15) facing said slide (13);
    - selector members (24) that are coupled to said slide (13) slidingly integrally thereto and configured to engage and disengage said at least one catch (19) following the sliding of said slide (13) according to a predefinable sequence of engaging and disengaging positions corresponding to closing, tilt and turn positions of said sash (100) with respect to said fixed frame;
    characterized in that said selector members (24) comprise:
    - at least one base body (25) coupled to said slide (13) slidingly integrally thereto and presenting in proximity to one first end thereof at least one first engaging seat (27) for engaging with said catch (19) so as to constrain said connecting arm (15) to said slide (13) in a first engaging position corresponding to the closing position of said sash (100) on said fixed frame;
    - at least one insert body (26) coupled to said base body (25) and having, being arranged adjacent to each other:
    - at least one second engaging seat (28) for engaging with said catch (19) so as to constrain said connecting arm to said slide (13) in a second engaging position corresponding to the turn position of said sash (100) with respect to said fixed frame, and
    - a recess (29) defining a free disengaging zone from said catch (19) so as to release said connecting arm (15) from said slide (13) in a disengaging position corresponding to the tilt position of said sash (100) with respect to said fixed frame,
    wherein said insert body (26) is connected to said base body (25) reversibly between two positions:
    - a first position, in which said recess (29) is adjacent to said first engaging seat (27), said first engaging seat (27), said recess (29) and said second engaging seat (28) being arranged subsequently to each other, and
    - a second position, in which said second engaging seat (28) is adjacent to said first engaging seat (27), said first engaging seat (27), said second engaging seat (28), and said recess (29) being arranged subsequently to each other.
  2. Accessory (10) according to claim 1, wherein said insert body (26) is removably coupled to said base body (25) by a male/female, interlock, snap-fit, shape or similar coupling.
  3. Accessory (10) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said insert body (26) is removably coupled to said base body (25) by means of at least one male protrusion (31) formed in one of said insert body (26) and said base body (25) and insertable into at least one respective female housing (32) formed in the other of said insert body (26) and said base body (25).
  4. Accessory (10) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said base body (25) comprises along its longitudinal development a coupling portion (250) with said insert body (26) adjacent to said first engaging seat (27).
  5. Accessory (10) according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein said insert body (26) comprises a flat portion (260) along whose longitudinal development parallel to said sliding direction (D-D) a first section at which said second engaging seat (28) is formed and a second free section defining said recess (29) follow each other.
  6. Accessory (10) according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein each of said first engaging seat (27) and said second engaging seat (28) comprises a pair of facing and substantially parallel sides (270; 280) extending parallel to said sliding direction (D-D) and between which said catch (19) is insertable by sliding.
  7. Accessory (10) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said base body (25) comprises, in proximity to a second end thereof axially opposite to said first end thereof, a third engaging seat (33) for an auxiliary catch (30),
    wherein said auxiliary catch (30) is coupled to said connecting arm (15) in a defined position between said catch (19) and said second end (15b) of said connecting arm (15) and protrudes from the face of said connecting arm (15) facing said slide (13),
    and wherein said base body (25) presents a coupling portion (250) with said insert body (26) defined between said first engaging seat (27) and third engaging seat (33).
  8. Accessory (10) according to claim 7, wherein said third engaging seat (33) comprises a pair of facing each other and substantially parallel sides (330) extending parallel to said sliding direction (D-D) and between which said auxiliary catch (30) is insertable by sliding.
  9. Accessory (10) according to claim 7 or 8, wherein said third engaging seat (33) is arranged and configured to engage said auxiliary catch (30) when said catch (19) is engaged in said first engaging seat (27) and to disengage said auxiliary catch (30) when said catch (19) is engaged in said second engaging seat (28) and/or disengaged at the free zone defined by said recess (29).
  10. Accessory (10) according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said at least one catch (19) is coupled to said connecting arm (15) in a fixed position defined between said first end (15a) and said second end (15b) of said connecting arm (15).
  11. Opening and closing system for tilt and turn doors or windows, comprising:
    - at least one joint hinge (102) by which a sash (100) is coupable to the fixed frame of said door or window rotatably around a hinge axis (A-A);
    - an accessory (10) according to one or more of the preceding claims;
    - a manoeuvring device (103) that is adapted to move said slide (13) in sliding along said sliding direction (D-D) and that is operable by a control element (104), said manoeuvring device (103) being configured to be mounted on said sash (100).
