Abstract
The built-in cooking appliance according to the present invention comprises an inner body (1) with a base (1a) and a side wall (1b), such that the inner body (1) is formed by the base (1a) and the side wall (1b), wherein the inner body (1) comprises a cooking area and an access opening for access into the cooking area; a door (2) for controlling access into the cooking area; a control unit; at least one side panel (1d) positioned facing an outer surface of the side wall (1b); a control panel (3) provided on an upper part of the door (2) and configured to transmit operating commands to the control unit; and a mounting piece (4) for mounting the door (2) and control panel (3) by a common part, wherein the mounting piece (4) comprises a mounting body (4a) in the form of a rod or a long strip plate; a first mounting element (4b) at a lower part of the mounting body (4a), which is configured for the assembly of the door (2); a second mounting element (4c) at an upper part of the mounting body (4a), which is configured for the assembly of the control panel (3); and a third mounting element (4d) which is connected to the mounting body (4a) between the first mounting element (4b) and the second mounting element (4c), and is configured for the assembly of the mounting body (4a) to the side panel (1d).

DESCRIPTION
A BUILT-IN COOKING APPLIANCE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a built-in cooking appliance, e.g. an oven, which is capable of cooking in a closed cooking area.
Background of the Invention
Various cooking appliances are used in the known art to cook foods that can be consumed raw or cooked. An example of such a cooking appliance is so-called ovens, which has a cooking area located in an internal compartment and accessible through a door. In this type of cooking appliance, called oven, the food to be cooked is placed inside said cooking area, usually by means of a vessel. A heating element is activated to heat the cooking area for the cooking process, wherein the heating element heats the air inside the cooking area and thus the food therein, so that the food is cooked.
In oven type cooking appliances, there is at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the cooking appliance (for example, controlling and regulating the operation of components such as heating element, fan, lighting element in the cooking appliance). A control panel is provided in the cooking appliance, so that a user can transmit an operating command of the cooking appliance to the control unit. The control panel is generally provided on an upper area of the door.
Although said cooking appliances may be positioned individually on a floor, they may also be provided integrally in a furniture (for example, in an area created between cabinets, under and/or above the kitchen counter). According to so-called built-in cooking appliances placed inside a furniture, the door and control panel constitute an external appearance of the built-in cooking appliance, as seen through the furniture. In known-tech built-in cooking appliances, the door and control panel are mounted on various components in the cooking appliance, such as the front frame, side panel, inner body and fan duct. Such an assembly on various components may cause the control panel and the
door to be positioned axially spaced from each other. Incorrect alignment of the door and control panel not only causes deterioration of the external appearance of the cooking appliance, but also causes creation of gaps that may lead to heat losses. This may negatively affect the cooking performance of the cooking appliance, thereby increasing energy consumption.
Brief Description of the Invention
The built-in cooking appliance according to the present invention comprises:
• at least one inner body with at least one base and at least one side wall, such that the inner body is formed by the base and the side wall, wherein the inner body comprises at least one cooking area for performing a cooking process, and at least one access opening for access into the cooking area;
• at least one door for controlling access into the cooking area by opening or closing the access opening;
• at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the cooking appliance;
• at least one side panel positioned facing an outer surface of the side wall;
• at least one control panel provided on an upper part of the door away from the base, comprising at least one data element, and configured to transmit operating commands to the control unit; and
• at least one mounting piece for mounting the door and control panel by a common part, the mounting piece comprising: o at least one mounting body in the form of a rod or a long strip plate; o at least a first mounting element at a lower part of the mounting body close to the base, which is configured for the assembly of the door; o at least a second mounting element at an upper part of the mounting body away from the base, which is configured for the assembly of the control panel; and o at least a third mounting element which is connected to the mounting body between the first mounting element and the second mounting element, and is configured for the assembly of the mounting body to the side panel.
Thanks to the built-in cooking appliance according to the invention, the door and control panel can be mounted on a common mounting piece, instead of multiple structural components, which would result in different axial positions. Therefore, the gaps formed between the door and the control panel during assembly can be minimized, so that a practical and reliable built-in cooking appliance is obtained, which is easy to manufacture, install and use.
Object of the Invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a built-in cooking appliance, e.g. an oven, which is capable of cooking in a closed cooking area.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a built-in cooking appliance that ensures correct alignment of the door and control panel with respect to each other.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a built-in cooking appliance that minimizes undesirable gaps between the door and the control panel.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a practical and reliable built-in cooking appliance that is easy to manufacture, assemble and use.

Description of the Invention
Cooking appliances for cooking food items generally comprise at least one inner body with at least one cooking area, at least one door controlling access into the cooking area, at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the cooking appliance, and at least one control panel for a user to transmit the required operating commands to
the control unit. The control panel is generally provided on an upper part of the door. In built-in cooking appliances designed to be placed inside a piece of furniture, undesirable mounting gaps may be created between the door and the control panel, which constitute the part of the cooking appliance visible through the furniture. These gaps not only negatively affect the appearance of the cooking appliance, but also lead to heat losses. Therefore, cooking performance of the cooking appliance may decrease, while increasing energy consumption. In this context, the present invention provides a built-in cooking appliance to solve afore-mentioned problems.
The built-in cooking appliance according to the present invention, which is illustrated in Figures 1-8, comprises at least one inner body (1) with at least one base (1a) and at least one side wall (1b), such that the inner body (1) is formed by the base (1a) and the side wall (1b), wherein the inner body (1) comprises at least one cooking area for performing a cooking process, and at least one access opening for access into the cooking area; at least one door (2) for controlling access into the cooking area by opening or closing the access opening; at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the cooking appliance; at least one side panel (1d) positioned facing an outer surface of the side wall (1b) that is opposite an inner surface thereof facing the cooking area; and at least one control panel (3) provided on an upper part of the door (2) away from the base (1a), comprising at least one data element (e.g. a touch screen, a button, a knob, etc.), and configured to transmit operating commands to the control unit, and preferably, to inform a user regarding operating state of the cooking appliance. The cooking appliance of the invention further comprises at least one (preferably at least two, each on opposite sides of the access opening) mounting piece (4) for mounting the door (2) and control panel (3) by a common part, wherein the mounting piece (4) is preferably provided on at least one side wall of the access opening that extends perpendicular to the base (1a), wherein the mounting piece (4) comprises at least one mounting body (4a) in the form of a rod or a long strip plate; at least a first mounting element (4b) at a lower part of the mounting body (4a) close to the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of the door (2); at least a second mounting element (4c) at an upper part of the mounting body (4a) away from the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of the control panel (3); and at least a third mounting element (4d) which is connected to the mounting body (4a) between the first mounting element (4b) and the second mounting element (4c), and is configured for the assembly of the mounting body (4a) to the side panel (1d).
In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the built-in cooking appliance comprises at least one inner body (1) with at least one cooking area for performing a cooking process; and at least one side panel (1 d) positioned facing an outer surface of the side wall (1 b) at the inner body (1) (said side panel (1d) is preferably provided on an outer body surrounding the inner body (1)). There is at least one access opening in the inner body (1) for access to the cooking area, and said access opening can be opened and closed via at least one door (2). The cooking appliance of the invention also includes at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the electrical components (heating element, fan, etc.) in the cooking appliance to achieve a desired cooking process; and at least one control panel (3) provided on an upper part of the door (2) for a user to transmit a command regarding the operation of the cooking appliance to the control unit, and preferably to inform the user regarding the operating status of the cooking appliance. In the cooking appliance according to the invention, said door (2) and control panel (3) are mounted only on the mounting piece (4) instead of being mounted directly on different structural components in the cooking appliance (e.g. front frame (1c), side wall (1b), inner body (1), side panel (1d) etc.). The mounting piece (4) is mounted, by means of the third mounting element (4d), on the side panel (1d), preferably on an inner surface of the side panel (1d) facing the side wall (1b), such that the mounting body (4a) is preferably perpendicular to the base (1a) and preferably positioned on one side of the access opening. At least a first mounting element (4b) is provided at a lower part of the mounting piece (4), for mounting the door (2) to the mounting piece (4). In order for the assembly of the control panel (3) to the mounting piece (4), at least a second mounting element (4c) is provided at an upper part of the mounting piece (4). In the built-in cooking appliance of the invention, the door (2) and control panel (3) are mounted on the mounting piece (4), such that the mounting piece (4) is preferably mounted on the side panel (1d) located on an outer body surrounding the inner body (1). Since the door (2) and control panel (3) are mounted only on the mounting piece (4), the problem of incorrect axial positioning of the door (2) and the control panel (3), which occurs especially due to their installation on multiple different structural components, can be prevented, thereby avoiding undesired gaps between the door (2) and the control panel (3). Therefore, appearance of the built-in cooking appliance can be maintained and heat leaks caused by the gaps can be prevented, while at the same time minimizing the possible decrease in the operating performance of the cooking appliance and the possible increase in energy consumption.
Thus, a practical and reliable built-in cooking appliance that is easy to manufacture, install and use, is achieved.
In an alternative embodiment, as illustrated in figure 3, the third mounting element (4d) is preferably provided as a plate extending parallel to the side wall (1b) (and to the side panel (1d)) in connection with the mounting body (4a), with at least one hole on the third mounting element (4d) for the placement of a fastener such as a screw. Therefore, the assembly process can be facilitated. In another alternative embodiment illustrated in Figure 4, the third mounting element (4d) is at least one hole on the mounting body (4a), through which a fastener such as a screw passes so as to be mounted on the side panel (1d). In this way, the mounting piece (4) can be mounted more resistantly, durable against external forces.
In another preferred embodiment, as illustrated in figure 3, the second mounting element (4c) is provided as a lug in the form of a plate extending away from the side wall (1b), and preferably comprises at least one hole for the assembly of a fastener such as a screw. Thus, the control panel (3) can be mounted securely while also increasing the strength of the second mounting element (4c). In said embodiment, a length of the second mounting element (4c) (e.g. distance relative to the mounting body (4a)) is an optimum length wherein a planar shape of the second mounting element (4c) is not distorted due to the high temperatures exposed during the production of the mounting piece (4).
In another alternative embodiment given in figure 4 and 6, the second mounting element (4c) is preferably provided as a plate wider than the mounting body (4a), with at least one hole thereon for the assembly of a fastener such as a screw. Therefore, assembly of the control panel (3) can be carried out in a more durable manner, and a mounting piece (4) more resistant to external forces is achieved. In said embodiment, the mounting piece (4) comprises at least a first mounting section (4h) in the form of a relief provided on a surface of the second mounting element (4c) facing the side wall (1b), wherein said hole is located on the first mounting section (4h). Preferably, in the second mounting element (4c), thanks to a first mounting section (4h) formed as a recess towards the side wall (1b), the hole area can be made more durable.
In a preferred embodiment, as illustrated in figure 6 and 8, the first mounting element (4b) is provided as a recess from the mounting body (4a) to the side wall (1b), and preferably comprises at least one hole for the placement of a fastener such as a screw. Therefore, for example, the door (2) can be mounted to the mounting piece with a wedge hinge and/or a rectangular form wedge hinge that providing movable connection.
Yet in an alternative embodiment, the cooking appliance according to the invention preferably comprises at least one front frame (1c) surrounding said access opening. In turn, the mounting piece (4) comprises at least a fourth mounting element (4e) connected with the mounting body (4a), mounted on the front frame (1c) and provided as a plate extending along at least a part of the mounting body (4a), wherein the fourth mounting element (4e) preferably forms an “L” form together with the mounting body (4a). In said embodiment, the mounting piece (4) is positioned on at least one side of the access opening, so as to be fixed to the side panel (1d) via the third mounting element (4d) on one side, and to the front frame (1c) via the fourth mounting element (4e) on the other side. Thanks to the mutual assembly of the mounting piece (4) carrying both the door (2) and the control panel (3), problems such as the mounting piece (4) bending, twisting and therefore losing its functionality due to the forces exposed, can be minimized, so that a reliable cooking appliance is obtained. Said fourth mounting element (4e) is mounted on the front frame (1c) preferably by welding the fourth mounting element (4e) to the front frame (1c). In another embodiment, at least one hole is provided on the fourth mounting element (4e) for the placement of a fastener such as a screw, wherein the fastener is passed through this hole and mounted on the front frame (1c), thereby performing the assembly process. In this embodiment, the mounting piece (4) preferably comprises, as illustrated in figures 5-8, at least a fifth mounting element at a lower region of the fourth mounting element (4e) close to the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of said door (2). As both the first mounting element (4b) and the fifth mounting element, which is preferably configured for the connection of hinges such as lever hinges, slow closing hinges, etc., are provided in the mounting piece (4), a universal mounting piece (4) is achieved, to which different hinges that enable the movable assembly of the door (2) can be mounted. In this regard, the fifth mounting element preferably comprises, as illustrated in figures 5 and 6, at least a second mounting section (4f) provided as a plate wider than the fourth mounting element (4e); and at least a third mounting section (4g) in the first mounting section (4f), which is provided as an opening configured for the placement of a
hinge. Said third mounting section (4g) may preferably be provided as an opening with a quadrangular cross-sectional area, or may be provided as at least two openings with a quadrangular cross-sectional area, one smaller than the other, positioned on top of each other to be adjacent to each other, such that the one with a smaller cross-sectional area is farther from the base (1a), thereby forming a substantially "L" form.
Thanks to the built-in cooking appliance according to the invention, the door (2) and control panel (3) can be mounted on a common mounting piece (4), instead of multiple structural components, which would result in different axial positions. Therefore, the gaps formed between the door (2) and the control panel (3) during assembly can be minimized, so that a practical and reliable built-in cooking appliance is obtained, which is easy to manufacture, install and use.
Claims
1. A built-in cooking appliance comprising at least one inner body (1) with at least one base (1a) and at least one side wall (1b), such that the inner body (1) is formed by the base (1a) and the side wall (1b), wherein the inner body (1) comprises at least one cooking area for performing a cooking process, and at least one access opening for access into the cooking area; at least one door (2) for controlling access into the cooking area by opening or closing the access opening; at least one control unit that controls and regulates the operation of the cooking appliance; at least one side panel (1d) positioned facing an outer surface of the side wall (1b); and at least one control panel (3) provided on an upper part of the door (2) away from the base (1a), comprising at least one data element, and configured to transmit operating commands to the control unit, characterized by comprising at least one mounting piece (4) for mounting the door (2) and control panel (3) by a common part, wherein the mounting piece (4) comprises at least one mounting body (4a) in the form of a rod or a long strip plate; at least a first mounting element (4b) at a lower part of the mounting body (4a) close to the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of the door (2); at least a second mounting element (4c) at an upper part of the mounting body (4a) away from the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of the control panel (3); and at least a third mounting element (4d) which is connected to the mounting body (4a) between the first mounting element (4b) and the second mounting element (4c), and is configured for the assembly of the mounting body (4a) to the side panel (1d).
2. A cooking appliance according to claim 1 , characterized in that the mounting piece (4) is provided on at least one side wall of the access opening that extends perpendicular to the base (1a).
3. A cooking appliance according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second mounting element (4c) is provided as a lug in the form of a plate extending away from the side wall (1b).
4. A cooking appliance according to claim 3, characterized in that a length of the second mounting element (4c) is an optimum length wherein a planar shape of the second mounting element (4c) is not distorted due to the high temperatures exposed during the production of the mounting piece (4).
5. A cooking appliance according to any of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the second mounting element (4c) is provided as a plate wider than the mounting body (4a), with at least one hole thereon for the assembly of a fastener.
6. A cooking appliance according to claim 5, characterized in that the mounting piece (4) comprises at least a first mounting section (4h) in the form of a relief provided on a surface of the second mounting element (4c) facing the side wall (1b), wherein said hole is located on the first mounting section (4h).
7. A cooking appliance according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the third mounting element (4d) is provided as a plate extending parallel to the side wall (1b) in connection with the mounting body (4a).
8. A cooking appliance according to any of the claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the third mounting element (4d) is at least one hole on the mounting body (4a), through which a fastener passes so as to be mounted on the side panel (1d).
9. A cooking appliance according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first mounting element (4b) is provided as a recess from the mounting body (4a) to the side wall (1b).
10. A cooking appliance according to claim 9, characterized in that the first mounting element (4b) comprises at least one hole for the placement of a fastener.
11. A cooking appliance according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cooking appliance comprises at least one front frame (1c) surrounding said access opening.
12. A cooking appliance according to claim 11 , characterized in that the mounting piece (4) comprises at least a fourth mounting element (4e) connected with the mounting body (4a), mounted on the front frame (1c) and provided as a plate extending along at least a part of the mounting body (4a).
13. A cooking appliance according to claim 12, characterized in that the mounting piece (4) comprises at least a fifth mounting element at a lower region of the fourth mounting element (4e) close to the base (1a), which is configured for the assembly of said door (2).
14. A cooking appliance according to claim 13, characterized in that the fifth mounting element comprises at least a second mounting section (4f) provided as a plate wider than the fourth mounting element (4e); and at least a third mounting section (4g) in the first mounting section (4f), which is provided as an opening configured for the placement of a hinge.
