Abstract

A beverage container includes: a beverage containing portion (4) adapted to contain a beverage; and an aroma ingredient containing portion (3) in which an aroma ingredient is sealed. The beverage containing portion (4) is configured such that an opening is formed when a predetermined force is applied, and when the predetermined force is applied, the opening is formed and the aroma ingredient containing portion (3) is unsealed.

Description

    Technical Field
  • The present invention relates to a beverage container having an aroma ingredient containing portion, a beverage product, and a can lid.
  • Background Art
  • Taste and aroma are very important elements that constitute the commercial value of beverage products. Therefore, a variety of means for enabling consumers to further enjoy the aroma of beverages have been proposed. For example, JP 2006-168788 A (Patent Document 1) discloses a container in which microcapsules encapsulating an aroma component are attached to a mouth portion of the container, thereby emitting an aroma when the container is opened. In addition, JP 2022-62504 A (Patent Document 2) discloses a can lid provided with an aroma port separately from a drink port.

    Summary of Invention Technical Problem
  • In the technique of Patent Document 1, a configuration is adopted in which microcapsules encapsulating an aroma component are attached to a thread of a mouth portion so that a lid of a container also functions to prevent the aroma component from dispersing during display or the like. In this configuration, a process of attaching the microcapsules to the thread of the mouth portion is complicated, and thus there were concerns of reduced productivity of containers and beverage products. Additionally, in the technique of Patent Document 2, although the aroma derived from the beverage itself can be easily delivered to consumers, an additional aroma was unable to be provided.
  • Therefore, it is desired to realize a beverage container in which an aroma ingredient can be placed by a relatively simple method, a beverage product using the beverage container, and a can lid that easily realizes the beverage container and the beverage product.
  • Solution to Problem
  • A beverage container according to the present invention includes: a beverage containing portion adapted to contain a beverage; and an aroma ingredient containing portion in which an aroma ingredient is sealed. The beverage containing portion is configured such that an opening is formed when a predetermined force is applied, and when the predetermined force is applied, the opening is formed and the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed.
  • A beverage product according to the present invention is configured such that a beverage is contained in the beverage containing portion of the beverage container.
  • In the present invention, since the sealing of the aroma ingredient is completed by the aroma ingredient containing portion itself, the flexibility of the placement location of the aroma ingredient containing portion is higher than that of a known beverage container. Accordingly, the placement location in consideration of ease of placement of the aroma ingredient containing portion is selected, and thus the productivity of the beverage container and the beverage product is less likely to be impaired. In addition, since the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed at the time of opening, the aroma can be delivered to a consumer who is about to drink the beverage in a timely manner.
  • A can lid according to the present invention is a can lid to be seamed and fastened on a mouth portion of a can body portion, the can lid including: a main body panel; a score panel in which an opening is formed when a predetermined force is applied to a part of the main body panel; an operated tool disposed on an outer surface side of the main body panel and operated to form the opening; and a functional component containing portion including a first film portion and a second film portion that are partially bonded to each other, the functional component containing portion being configured such that a functional component is sealed between the first film portion and the second film portion. The first film portion is fixed to a portion other than the score panel on an inner surface side of the main body panel, and a part of the second film portion is fixed to a portion of the score panel on the inner surface side of the main body panel.
  • According to the can lid configured as described above, it is easy to realize a beverage container in which a functional component can be placed by a relatively simple method and a beverage product using the beverage container.
  • Preferred aspects of the present invention will be described below. However, the scope of the present invention is not limited by the preferred aspects described below.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the beverage containing portion preferably includes a top surface that includes: an opening portion in which the opening is to be formed; and a portion to be operated to form the opening. The predetermined force is preferably a pushing force or a pulling force applied to the portion to be operated.
  • According to this configuration, the present invention can be suitably applied to canned beverages or the like.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the opening portion is preferably a score panel.
  • According to this configuration, the present invention can be suitably applied to canned beverages.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the portion to be operated is preferably a stay-on tab.
  • According to this configuration, the present invention can be suitably applied to canned beverages.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient containing portion preferably includes a first film portion and a second film portion that are partially bonded to each other, and the aroma ingredient is preferably sealed between the first film portion and the second film portion. The first film portion is preferably fixed to a portion other than the score panel on an inner side of the top surface, and a part of the second film portion is preferably fixed to a portion of the score panel on the inner side of the top surface.
  • According to this configuration, when the score panel is separated off from the top surface, the first film portion and the second film portion are peeled off, and thus the aroma ingredient flows out. A configuration in which the aroma ingredient is unsealed along with opening can be realized by a relatively simple structure.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the second film portion is preferably fixed to straddle a score line that defines the score panel.
  • According to this configuration, it is easy to reliably unseal the aroma ingredient when the score panel is separated off from the top surface.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient is preferably sealed at a position that does not overlap with the portion to be operated in a plan view.
  • According to this configuration, since the aroma ingredient is sealed in a portion of the top surface, which has a relatively large margin of area, the amount of aroma ingredient to be sealed can be easily increased.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, in a plan view, an extending direction in a longitudinal direction of the portion to be operated and a longitudinal direction of the aroma ingredient containing portion or an extending direction thereof preferably intersect with each other.
  • According to this configuration, the first film member and the second film member are disposed at a portion in which the score panel moves relatively largely or relatively slightly at the time of opening. Therefore, the aroma ingredient can be largely exposed at the time of unsealing and a strong aroma is given for a little while, or the aroma ingredient can be slightly exposed at the time of unsealing and an aroma is continuously given. In either case, a consumer is likely to have an impressive aroma experience.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, an adhesive strength between the first film portion and the second film portion is preferably smaller than an adhesive strength between the first film portion and the top surface and smaller than an adhesive strength between the second film portion and the top surface.
  • According to this configuration, it is easy to reliably unseal the aroma ingredient when the score panel is separated off from the top surface.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient containing portion is preferably disposed along an outer side of the top surface.
  • According to this configuration, it is easy to subsequently attach the aroma ingredient containing portion to the beverage product produced by a conventional method, and thus the existing production facility can be easily utilized to implement the present invention.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient containing portion is preferably disposed along an inner side of the top surface.
  • According to this configuration, the aroma ingredient containing portion is stored inside the beverage containing portion, and thus the aroma ingredient containing portion can be prevented from being damaged during transportation or the like, and the aroma ingredient containing portion can be prevented from being unintentionally unsealed.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, at least a part of the aroma ingredient is preferably put into the beverage containing portion when the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed.
  • According to this configuration, since a consumer ingests the aroma together with the beverage, a strong aroma can be easily delivered to the consumer.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient containing portion preferably includes an aroma sheet containing the aroma ingredient, and a sealing member sealing the aroma sheet.
  • According to this configuration, the aroma ingredient that is generally in the form of powder, liquid, or the like can be handled in the form of a sheet member, and thus handling properties of the aroma ingredient containing portion can be improved.
  • As an aspect of the beverage container according to the present invention, the aroma ingredient containing portion is preferably provided with a breakable portion having a lower strength than other portions. When the predetermined force is applied, the breakable portion is preferably broken to unseal the aroma ingredient containing portion.
  • According to this configuration, the aroma ingredient containing portion is easily unsealed as intended by a consumer at hand.
  • As an aspect of the can lid according to the present invention, a seamed portion fastened to the can body portion is preferably provided on a peripheral edge of the main body panel. A sum of a thickness of the operated tool, a thickness of the main body panel, and a thickness of the aroma ingredient containing portion is preferably smaller than a height of the seamed portion.
  • According to this configuration, the can lid according to the present invention can be handled in the same manner in a device that handles a known can lid having no aroma ingredient containing portion. In addition, a space for storing the can lids can be reduced.
  • In the can lid according to the present invention, the functional component is preferably an aroma ingredient.
  • According to this configuration, the aroma can be delivered in a timely manner to a consumer who is about to drink a beverage.
  • Further features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following description of exemplary and non-limiting embodiments with reference to the drawings.

    Description of Embodiments First Embodiment
  • A first embodiment of a beverage container and a beverage product according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Hereinafter, a beverage product 1A that is an embodiment of the beverage product according to the present invention will be described as an example. Note that a beverage container 2A containing a beverage in the beverage product 1A is an embodiment of the beverage container according to the present invention.
  • The beverage product 1A is a product to be distributed and sold in a state where a beverage B is contained in the beverage container 2A (FIGS. 1 and 2). In the present embodiment, the beverage product 1A is a so-called canned beverage product. Note that the beverage B may be a soft drink, an alcoholic beverage, a milk beverage, or the like, regardless of the kind of beverage.
  • Configuration of Beverage Container
  • The beverage container 2A includes a beverage containing portion 4 adapted to contain a beverage and an aroma ingredient containing portion 3 in which an aroma ingredient is sealed (FIGS. 1 and 2). The beverage containing portion 4 is a so-called stay-on tab type can, and includes a can body portion 41 functioning as a portion to contain a beverage and a can lid portion 42 seamed and fastened to the can body portion 41. A stay-on tab 43 (an example of a portion to be operated) is provided on a top surface of the can lid portion 42 (also, a top surface of the beverage containing portion 4) (FIGS. 1 and 2). The can lid portion 42 is substantially flat, including a score panel 45 described below, other than the fact that the stay-on tab 43 is provided.
  • When pulling force F (that is an example of predetermined force and an example of force for pulling the portion to be operated) is applied so as to raise the stay-on tab 43, a portion of the can lid portion 42, which is surrounded by a score line 44 (hereinafter, referred to as the score panel 45, the score panel 45 is an example of an opening portion) is pushed by the stay-on tab 43 and separated off from the other portions, and thus an opening 46 is formed (FIG. 3). The above description is the procedure for opening the beverage container 2. Hereinafter, a portion of the stay-on tab 43 to which the pulling force F is applied is referred to as a force point portion 43a, a portion that pushes the score panel 45 is referred to as an action point portion 43b, and a portion fixed to the can lid portion 42 is referred to as a fulcrum portion 43c.
  • The material constituting the beverage containing portion 4 can be a material generally used as a metal material constituting a can container. Examples of the metal material include, but are not limited to, aluminum and aluminum alloys, iron and iron alloys, and the like. In addition, the can body portion 41 and the can lid portion 42 may be made of the same material or different materials.
  • The full capacity of the beverage containing portion 4 (can body portion 41) may be a capacity generally used as a stay-on tab type can container for beverages. The full capacity can be, for example, 100 to 1000 mL, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the filling amount of the beverage B is smaller than the full capacity of the beverage containing portion 4 (can body portion 41), and is, for example, about 95% of the full capacity. Therefore, a gap S is present above the liquid surface of the beverage B in the beverage containing portion 4.
  • Configuration of Aroma Ingredient Containing Portion
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 3 according to the present embodiment includes an aroma sheet 31 containing an aroma ingredient and a sealing member 32 sealing the aroma sheet 31. The aroma ingredient containing portion 3 is attached to a portion around the force point portion 43a on an outer side of the top surface of the beverage containing portion 4 (can lid portion 42). Since the can lid portion 42 is substantially flat, the aroma ingredient containing portion 3 can be easily fixed by using an adhesive or the like.
  • The aroma sheet 31 is a sheet-shaped member containing an aroma ingredient, and the material thereof is selected according to a method of holding the aroma ingredient. The aroma sheet 31 can be, for example, a sheet in which an aroma ingredient is adsorbed into a base material made of polymer, a sheet in which a base material made of a fiber is impregnated with an aroma ingredient, a sheet in which an aroma ingredient is carried on in pores of a base material made of a porous material, or the like.
  • The aroma ingredient is selected, for example, in terms of improving the user experience of a consumer who is about to drink the beverage B. Specifically, when the same kind of aroma ingredient as the flavor of the beverage B is used, for example, a lemon-flavored chuhai beverage is combined with a lemon aroma, a consumer who is about to open the beverage product 1A and drink the beverage B can further enjoy the aroma of the beverage B.
  • The sealing member 32 is a bag body made of a high-polymer material adapted to contain the aroma sheet 31. The sealing member 32 is formed, for example, by a method in which a film made of a high-polymer material is sealed by heat sealing, and the aroma ingredient held in the aroma sheet 31 does not substantially diffuse to the outside of the sealing member 32 unless the bag body is broken or the like.
  • The sealing member 32 is provided with a breakable portion 33 having a perforated line, and the breakable portion 33 is connected to the force point portion 43a of the stay-on tab 43. When the pulling force F is applied to the force point portion 43a to open the beverage container 2, the breakable portion 33 connected to the force point portion 43a is pulled upward together with the force point portion 43a, and the breakable portion 33 is broken along the perforated line (FIG. 3). The breakable portion 33 is broken, and thus the aroma ingredient by the sealing member 32 is unsealed. In other words, when the pulling force F is applied, the opening 46 is formed and the aroma ingredient containing portion 3 is unsealed. As a result, the aroma ingredient diffuses and reaches a consumer who is about to open the beverage product 1A and drink the beverage B.
  • Second Embodiment
  • A second embodiment of a beverage container and a beverage product according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Hereinafter, a beverage product 1B that is an embodiment of the beverage product according to the present invention will be described as an example. Note that a beverage container 2B containing a beverage in the beverage product 1B is an embodiment of the beverage container according to the present invention. In addition, the same components as those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those of the first embodiment, and description thereof will be omitted or simplified.
  • Configuration of Beverage Container
  • The beverage container 2B includes the beverage containing portion 4 adapted to contain a beverage and an aroma ingredient containing portion 5 in which an aroma ingredient is sealed (FIGS. 4 and 5). The configuration of the beverage containing portion 4 is the same as that of the first embodiment.
  • Configuration of Aroma Ingredient Containing Portion
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 5 according to the present embodiment includes an aroma sheet 51 containing an aroma ingredient and a sealing member 52 sealing the aroma sheet 51. The aroma sheet 51 and the aroma ingredient are the same as those of the first embodiment in terms of the constituent materials thereof, but the shape and the placement location are different from those of the first embodiment. In the present embodiment, the aroma sheet 51 is attached to a portion other than the score panel 45 on an inner side of the top surface of the beverage containing portion 4 (can lid portion 42) (FIGS. 4 and 5). Since the can lid portion 42 is substantially flat, the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 can be easily fixed by using an adhesive or the like.
  • The sealing member 52 is placed on the inner side of the top surface of the beverage containing portion 4 (can lid portion 42) so as to integrally cover the score panel 45 and the aroma sheet 51. Thus, the aroma ingredient (aroma sheet 51) is sealed between the can lid portion 42 and the sealing member 52.
  • When pulling force F is applied to the force point portion 43a of the stay-on tab 43, the action point portion 43b pushes the score panel 45 to form the opening 46. At this time, the opening 46 is formed, and thus the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 is unsealed (FIG. 6). At the same time, a part of the sealing member 52 is peeled off from the can lid portion 42 to form a path for taking out the beverage B contained in the beverage containing portion 4 from the opening 46. Accordingly, on taking out the beverage B through the opening 46, the aroma diffuses, and thus a consumer that is about to open the beverage product 1B and drink the beverage B can further enjoy the aroma of the beverage B. In addition, since the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 is provided on the inner side of the beverage containing portion 4, the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 is unlikely to be damaged during transportation of the beverage product 1B or the like, and the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 can be prevented from being unintentionally unsealed.
  • Third Embodiment
  • A third embodiment of a beverage container and a beverage product according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Hereinafter, a beverage product 1C that is an embodiment of the beverage product according to the present invention will be described as an example. Note that a beverage container 2C containing a beverage in the beverage product 1C is an embodiment of the beverage container according to the present invention. In addition, the same components as those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those of the first embodiment, and description thereof will be omitted or simplified.
  • Configuration of Beverage Container
  • The beverage container 2C includes the beverage containing portion 4 adapted to contain a beverage and an aroma ingredient containing portion 6 in which an aroma ingredient is sealed (FIGS. 7 and 8). The configuration of the beverage containing portion 4 is the same as that of the first embodiment.
  • Configuration of Aroma Ingredient Containing Portion
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 6 according to the present embodiment is a bag body in which a liquid aroma ingredient is sealed. The aroma ingredient containing portion 6 is attached above the score panel 45 on the top surface of the can lid portion 42 so as to straddle the score line 44. Breakable portions 61 having a smaller thickness than other portions are provided in portions facing the score line 44. Since the can lid portion 42 including the score panel 45 is substantially flat, the aroma ingredient containing portion 6 can be easily fixed by using an adhesive or the like.
  • When pulling force F is applied to the force point portion 43a of the stay-on tab 43, the action point portion 43b pushes the score panel 45 to form the opening 46. At this time, a portion of the aroma ingredient containing portion 6 is pushed into the beverage containing portion 4 together with the score panel 45, and a portion thereof remains on the top surface of the can lid portion 42. As a result, the breakable portions 61 are most often tore and the liquid aroma ingredient flows out of the aroma ingredient containing portion 6 (FIG. 9). As a result, a consumer who is about to open the beverage product 1C and drink the beverage B can further enjoy the aroma of the beverage B. In addition, some of the emitted aroma ingredient is put into the beverage B contained in the beverage containing portion 4. As a result, when the consumer opens the beverage product 1C and drinks the beverage B, the aroma ingredient added into the beverage B is swallowed together, and thus the flavor of the beverage B is enhanced.
  • Fourth Embodiments
  • A fourth embodiment of a beverage container and a beverage product according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. An embodiment of a can lid according to the present invention will be also described herein. Hereinafter, a beverage product 1D that is an embodiment of the beverage product according to the present invention will be described as an example. Note that a beverage container 2D containing a beverage in the beverage product 1D is an embodiment of the beverage container according to the present invention. In addition, the same components as those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals as those of the first embodiment, and description thereof will be omitted or simplified.
  • Configuration of Beverage Container
  • The beverage container 2D includes the beverage containing portion 4 adapted to contain a beverage and an aroma ingredient containing portion 9 in which an aroma ingredient is sealed, and the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is fixed on the inner side of the top surface of the can lid portion 42 (FIG. 10). The configuration of the beverage containing portion 4 is the same as that of the first embodiment.
  • Configuration of Aroma Ingredient Containing Portion
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 9 according to the present embodiment has a first film portion 91 and a second film portion 92 (FIGS. 11 and 12). The first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are partially attached to each other, and an aroma sheet 93 is sealed in a space of a portion where the film portions are not bonded to each other. Note that the specific configuration of the material or the like constituting the aroma sheet 93 conforms to the aroma sheet 31 of the first embodiment. When the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are torn at the periphery of the aroma sheet 93 or when the bonded portion between the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 is peeled off, the aroma ingredient is unsealed.
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 9 in the present embodiment is formed by a method in which one rectangular film is folded back and partially bonded. Therefore, the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are originally the same film. The folding point at the time of forming the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is disposed at a position displaced to one side from the center in the longitudinal direction of the rectangular shape. The first film portion 91 is shorter than the second film portion 92. In this time, the second film portion 92 has a tip portion 92a not overlapped with the first film portion 91. Note that the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 may be formed by partially bonding two completely separable films to each other.
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion 9 can be a laminate formed by combining materials such as a resin film and an aluminum foil. The resin film can be a material that can realize adhesion between the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 by heat sealing. Alternatively, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 may be bonded (fixed) to the can lid portion 42 by heat sealing of a resin film. The resin constituting the resin film is not particularly limited, but may be, for example, a polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate. The aluminum foil is a material that prevents permeation of moisture or the like, and prevents the aroma ingredient contained in the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 from permeating through the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 and flowing out thereof before the unsealing.
  • The first film portion 91 is fixed to a portion other than the score panel 45 on the inner side of the top surface of the can lid portion 42. Meanwhile, the tip portion 92a of the second film portion 92 (which is a portion of the second film portion 92) is fixed to a portion of the score panel 45 on the inner side of the top surface of the can lid portion 42. In addition, a portion of the second film portion 92, which is overlapped with the first film portion 91 is fixed integrally with the first film portion 91 to a portion other than the score panel 45. Accordingly, one end side (the tip portion 92a) of the second film portion 92 is fixed to a portion of the score panel 45 and the other end side thereof is fixed to a portion other than the score panel 45, and thus the second film portion 92 is fixed to straddle the score line 44 defining the score panel 45.
  • A method of fixing the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 is not particularly limited, but, for example, the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 may be fixed by bonding with an adhesive or may be bonded by heat sealing of a resin film constituting a portion of the aroma ingredient containing portion 9. In this case, the adhesive strength at a portion where the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are bonded to each other is smaller than the adhesive strength between the first film portion and the top surface of the can lid portion 42 and smaller than the adhesive strength between the second film portion 92 and the top surface of the can lid portion 42.
  • When the stay-on tab 43 is operated to open the beverage container 2, the score panel 45 separated off at the score line 44 is pushed down to form the opening 46. In this case, the tip portion 92a of the second film portion 92 moves downward together with the score panel 45; however, the first film portion 91 does not move from the top surface of the can lid portion 42. Therefore, along with the movement of the score panel 45, stress acts in a direction in which the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are separated from each other. Here, the adhesive strength at a portion where the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are bonded together is smaller than the adhesive strength between the first film portion and the top surface of the can lid portion 42 and smaller than the adhesive strength between the second film portion 92 and the top surface of the can lid portion 42. Consequently, the mode of breakage of the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 on which the stress acts is a mode in which the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are peeled off (FIG. 13). At this time, the aroma sheet 93 is opened up.
  • Next, the positional relationships between the stay-on tab 43 and the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 and between the score panel 45 and the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 in a plan view will be described. On the top surface of the can lid portion 42, the stay-on tab 43 extends in a direction away from the center (generally in a radial direction), and the score panel 45 extends toward the side substantially 180 degrees opposite from the extension of the stay-on tab 43 in the radial direction. In other words, the stay-on tab 43 and the score panel 45 extend in a direction substantially along a diameter D on the top surface of the can lid portion 42. On the other hand, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 extends in a direction away from the diameter D with the tip portion 92a fixed to the score panel 45 as a base end. Therefore, the extending direction of the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 in the longitudinal direction intersects with the extending direction of the stay-on tab 43 in the longitudinal direction, and the aroma sheet 93 is disposed at a position not overlapped with the stay-on tab 43.
  • The score line 44 defining the score panel 45 extends in a curved line defining the substantially elliptical score panel 45, but is not a closed curve. Specifically, a connection portion 49 in which the score line 44 is not provided exists in a part at one side with respect to the diameter D in the vicinity of the rivet by which the stay-on tab 43 is fixed to the top surface of the can lid portion 42. The connection portion 49 is a portion that is not cut when the beverage container 2D is opened, and connects the score panel 45 and the remaining portion of the can lid portion 42.
  • FIG. 14 is a perspective view of the surroundings of the can lid portion 42 of the opened beverage container 2D. However, in FIG. 14, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is not illustrated in order to avoid complication. At the time of opening the beverage container 2, the score panel 45 moves downward in an arc about the connection portion 49. Therefore, the moving distance of the score panel 45 at the time of opening becomes larger as the score panel 45 is at a position farther from the connection portion 49. At a position where the moving distance becomes large (for example, on the opposite side to the connection portion 49 with respect to the diameter D, see FIG. 13), the tip portion 92a of the second film portion 92 is fixed, and thus the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 are largely separated from each other when the beverage container 2 is opened. As a result, the aroma ingredient can largely flow out (be exposed). In this case, a consumer feels a sharp aroma at the time of opening. On the other hand, at a position where the moving distance becomes small (for example, directly below the stay-on tab 43, as an example, see a fourth modification (FIG. 21)), the tip portion 92a of the second film portion 92 is fixed, and thus the separation distance between the first film portion 91 and the second film portion 92 when the beverage container 2 is opened is reduced. As a result, the outflow (exposure) of the aroma ingredient is reduced. In this case, a consumer will continuously feel a faint aroma. As just described, by placing the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 in consideration of the movement of the score panel 45 at the time of opening, the mode in which the aroma ingredient flows out can be freely controlled, and an impressive aroma experience can be given to the consumer.
  • Configuration of Can Lid
  • In general, the beverage product 1D is produced by a method in which an empty can body portion 41 is filled with a beverage and then a can cover supplied as a separate member is seamed and fastened to an open surface of the can body portion 41 filled with the beverage and thereby the can lid portion 42 is formed. In other words, the can lid applied to the production of the beverage product 1D is an article that can be distributed by itself. Here, as one embodiment of the can lid according to the present invention, a can lid 10 applied to the production of the beverage product 1D will be described. Note that components such as the score panel 45 are denoted by the reference numerals already mentioned.
  • The can lid 10 includes a main body panel 11, a seamed portion 12, the score panel 45, the stay-on tab 43, and the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 (FIG. 15). Since the can lid 10 is a member constituting the can lid portion 42 of the beverage container 2D, the configurations and positional relationships of the score panel 45, the stay-on tab 43, and the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 are as described for the beverage container 2D. FIG. 14 illustrates a state where the can lids 10 are stacked.
  • The main body panel 11 is a flat plate-shaped portion forming the center of the can lid 10. The score panel 45 is provided as a portion defined by the score line 44 in a part of the main body panel 11. The stay-on tab 43 is fixed to the upper surface of the main body panel 11. The aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is fixed to the lower surface of the main body panel 11.
  • The seamed portion 12 is a portion to be fastened to the can body portion 41, and is provided at the peripheral edge of the main body panel 11. The seamed portion 12 is formed by bending with respect to the peripheral edge portion of the main body panel 11. The sum H1 of the thickness of the stay-on tab 43, the thickness of the main body panel 11, and the thickness of the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is smaller than the height H2 of the seamed portion 12. Accordingly, when a plurality of the can lids 10 are stacked (FIG. 15), the aroma ingredient containing portions 9 do not interfere with other components of the can lid 10 (in particular, the stay-on tabs 43), and thus the can lids can be stored and used in the same manner as conventional can lids having no aroma ingredient containing portion 9. As a result, the can lids 10 can be handled in a device adapted to handle the conventional can lids. In addition, a space for storing the can lids 10 can be reduced.
  • Other Embodiments
  • Finally, other embodiments of the beverage container, the beverage product, and the can lid according to the present invention will be described. Note that the configuration described in each of the following embodiments can also be applied in combination with the configuration described in another embodiment as long as no contradiction arises.
  • When the aroma ingredient containing portion is provided on the outer side of the top surface of the beverage containing portion as in the first embodiment, the position of the aroma ingredient containing portion may be any position on the top surface. In the first embodiment, the configuration in which the aroma ingredient containing portion 3 is provided at a portion directly below the force point portion 43a of the stay-on tab 43 is described as an example. However, the aroma ingredient containing portion may be provided around the opening portion. In a first modification illustrated in FIGS. 16 and 17, the opening portion is configured as a removable lid member 47 that closes the opening 46, and the opening 46 and the aroma ingredient containing portion 7 are integrally sealed by the lid member 47. In addition, by removing the lid member 47, the opening 46 is opened up and the aroma ingredient containing portion 7 is unsealed.
  • As in the second embodiment, when the aroma ingredient containing portion is provided on the inner side of the top surface of the beverage containing portion, the position of the aroma ingredient containing portion may be any position along the top surface. In the second embodiment, the configuration in which the aroma ingredient containing portion 5 is attached to a portion other than the score panel 45 on the inner side of the top surface of the can lid portion 42 is described as an example. However, the aroma ingredient containing portion may be provided around the opening portion. In a second modification illustrated in FIGS. 18 and 19, the opening portion is configured as a lid member 48 that closes the opening 46 provided in advance in the top surface of the beverage containing portion from the inner side of the beverage containing portion, and the opening and an aroma ingredient containing portion 8 are integrally sealed by the lid member 48. When the lid member 48 is operated so as to form the opening 46, the aroma ingredient containing portion 8 is unsealed simultaneously.
  • As in the case of the third embodiment, in the case where a part of the aroma ingredient is put into the beverage containing portion when the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed, the position of the aroma ingredient containing portion may be inside the beverage containing portion unlike the example of the third embodiment. For example, the aroma ingredient containing portion 6 of the third embodiment may be provided on the inner side of the can lid portion 42 instead of on the top surface of the can lid portion 42.
  • In the fourth embodiment, the configuration in which the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is formed by a method in which one rectangular film is folded and partially bonded is described as an example. In this example, the shape of the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is a rectangle (FIG. 11). However, the shape of the aroma ingredient containing portion is not limited in the present invention. The aroma ingredient containing portion may have any shape, such as a curved shape, an L-shape, or a U-shape. For example, in a third modification illustrated in FIG. 20, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is in a mode where the first film portion 91 having a rectangular shape and the second film portion 92 having an L-shape are overlapped.
  • In the fourth embodiment, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 extends in the direction intersecting with the extending direction of the stay-on tab 43. However, the position of the aroma ingredient containing portion is not limited in the present invention. For example, in a fourth modification illustrated in FIG. 21, the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is provided at a position overlapped with the stay-on tab 43 (portion to be operated) in a plan view.
  • In each of the aforementioned embodiments, the configuration in which the aroma sheet is sealed by the sealing member (the first embodiment, the second embodiment, and the fourth embodiment) and the configuration in which the aroma ingredient itself is sealed (the third embodiment) are illustrated as the configuration of the aroma ingredient containing portion. However, the configuration of the aroma ingredient containing portion is not limited to these examples. For example, a configuration in which an aroma ingredient placed in contact with the top surface of the beverage containing portion is sealed by a sealing member or another configuration may be employed. In this case, a recess or the like may be provided in the beverage containing portion to allow the aroma ingredient to be easily contained.
  • Further, a modification of the aroma ingredient containing portion can be applied to each of the aforementioned embodiments. For example, in the first embodiment, a configuration in which a powdered or liquid aroma ingredient is contained in a recess provided in the can lid portion 42 and sealed by a film sealing member, a configuration in which an aroma ingredient is directly sealed in a bag-shaped sealing member (without using an aroma sheet), or the like can be employed instead of the aroma ingredient containing portion 3 described above. The fact that such a modification can be made also applies to the second embodiment and the third embodiment.
  • The aroma ingredient containing portion can be produced in advance separately from the beverage containing portion, which is preferable in terms of the fact that the productivity of the beverage container and the beverage product is less likely to be impaired. Also, in this case, the beverage product according to the present invention can be produced by additionally placing the aroma ingredient containing portion after producing the existing beverage product in the existing production facility. Therefore, the existing production facilities can be easily utilized.
  • In each of the embodiments described above, the configuration in which the beverage container is a stay-on tab type can is described as an example. However, the beverage container according to the present invention is not limited to a can, and may be a bottle, a plastic bottle, a carton container, or the like. Also, in this case, a method of forming the opening in the beverage containing portion of the beverage container is appropriately selected depending on the type of the beverage container. For example, in a case where the beverage container is a bottle, a PET bottle, or the like, a mode in which a screw cap is used as the opening portion can be employed. In addition, for example, in a case where the beverage container is a carton container, a mode in which a sheet-shaped sealing material for sealing an opening previously provided on the top surface of the carton container is attached to the opening to form the opening portion can be employed.
  • The predetermined force applied in forming the opening is determined by a method of closing the opening of the beverage containing portion. It can be said that the predetermined force is determined by the mode of the portion to be operated. For example, when the beverage container is a PET bottle sealed by a screw cap, the screw cap is the portion to be operated, and the opening is formed when the force for rotating the screw cap is applied.
  • In the first and third embodiments, the configuration in which the breakable portion is provided in the aroma ingredient containing portion is illustrated. However, in the present invention, whether or not the breakable portion is provided in the aroma ingredient containing portion is arbitrary.
  • In the embodiment described above, the can lid 10 including the aroma ingredient containing portion 9 is described as an example. However, in the can lid according to the present invention, a component other than the aroma ingredient may be provided in place of or in addition to the aroma ingredient in the embodiment described above. In other words, in the can lid according to the present invention, a functional component containing portion in which a functional component is sealed may be provided. The term "functional component" herein refers to a component that can impart an added value to a beverage, and an aroma ingredient also corresponds to such component. Examples of the functional component other than an aroma ingredient may include components such as calcium, sodium, potassium, bicarbonate, magnesium, caffeine, fiber, protein, taurine, ribose, and omega-3. The functional component may be one type or a plurality of types. According to this configuration, for example, the functional component can be added to a beverage immediately before a consumer drinks the beverage. In this case, it is preferable that the functional component is put into the beverage when the functional component is unsealed, and for example, it is preferable that the liquid functional component is sealed.
  • Also, with respect to other configurations, it should be understood that the embodiments described in the present specification are illustrative in all respects and that the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto. It will be easily understood by those skilled in the art that appropriate modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Accordingly, other embodiments modified without departing from the spirit of the present invention are naturally included in the scope of the present invention.

  • The present invention can be used for beverage products such as soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Claims (18)

  1. A beverage container, comprising:
    a beverage containing portion configured to contain a beverage; and
    an aroma ingredient containing portion in which an aroma ingredient is sealed, wherein
    the beverage containing portion is configured such that an opening is formed when a predetermined force is applied, and
    when the predetermined force is applied, the opening is formed and the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed.
  2. The beverage container according to claim 1, wherein
    the beverage containing portion includes a top surface that includes: an opening portion in which the opening is to be formed; and a portion to be operated to form the opening, and
    the predetermined force is a pushing force or a pulling force applied to the portion to be operated.
  3. The beverage container according to claim 2, wherein the opening portion is a score panel.
  4. The beverage container according to claim 3, wherein the portion to be operated is a stay-on tab.
  5. The beverage container according to claim 3, wherein
    the aroma ingredient containing portion includes a first film portion and a second film portion that are partially bonded to each other, and the aroma ingredient is sealed between the first film portion and the second film portion,
    the first film portion is fixed to a portion other than the score panel on an inner side of the top surface, and
    a part of the second film portion is fixed to a portion of the score panel on the inner side of the top surface.
  6. The beverage container according to claim 5, wherein the second film portion is fixed to straddle a score line that defines the score panel.
  7. The beverage container according to claim 5, wherein the aroma ingredient is sealed at a position that does not overlap with the portion to be operated in a plan view.
  8. The beverage container according to claim 7, wherein, in a plan view, an extending direction in a longitudinal direction of the portion to be operated and a longitudinal direction of the aroma ingredient containing portion or an extending direction thereof intersect with each other.
  9. The beverage container according to claim 5, wherein an adhesive strength between the first film portion and the second film portion is smaller than an adhesive strength between the first film portion and the top surface and smaller than an adhesive strength between the second film portion and the top surface.
  10. The beverage container according to claim 2, wherein the aroma ingredient containing portion is disposed along an outer side of the top surface.
  11. The beverage container according to claim 2, wherein the aroma ingredient containing portion is disposed along an inner side of the top surface.
  12. The beverage container according to claim 1, wherein at least a part of the aroma ingredient is put into the beverage containing portion when the aroma ingredient containing portion is unsealed.
  13. The beverage container according to claim 1, wherein the aroma ingredient containing portion includes an aroma sheet containing the aroma ingredient, and a sealing member sealing the aroma sheet.
  14. The beverage container according to claim 1, wherein
    the aroma ingredient containing portion is provided with a breakable portion having a lower strength than other portions, and
    when the predetermined force is applied, the breakable portion is broken to unseal the aroma ingredient containing portion.
  15. A beverage product in which a beverage is contained in the beverage containing portion of the beverage container according to any one of claims 1 to 14.
  16. A can lid to be seamed and fastened on a mouth portion of a can body portion, the can lid comprising:
    a main body panel;
    a score panel in which an opening is formed when a predetermined force is applied to a part of the main body panel;
    a tool to be operated, disposed on an outer surface side of the main body panel and operated to form the opening; and
    a functional component containing portion including a first film portion and a second film portion that are partially bonded to each other, the functional component containing portion being configured such that a functional component is sealed between the first film portion and the second film portion, wherein
    the first film portion is fixed to a portion other than the score panel on an inner surface side of the main body panel, and
    a part of the second film portion is fixed to a portion of the score panel on the inner surface side of the main body panel.
  17. The can lid according to claim 16, further comprising:
    a seamed portion fastened to the can body portion on a peripheral edge of the main body panel, wherein
    a sum of a thickness of the operated tool, a thickness of the main body panel, and a thickness of the functional component containing portion is smaller than a height of the seamed portion.
  18. The can lid according to claim 16 or 17, wherein the functional component is an aroma ingredient.
