Abstract

Method for manufacturing a mechanical actuating member provided with engagement teeth, comprising the steps of: providing a flat metal sheet capable of generating, by blanking, a semi-finished product (110) from which a mechanical actuating member having engagement teeth can be obtained; blanking, from the flat metal sheet, the shape of a semi-finished product; exerting, onto the semi-finished product, a horizontal compression stress in a direction substantially parallel to the plane of the semi-finished product in order to generate a thickening (114) of at least one region of said semi-finished product that is intended for the subsequent making of said engagement teeth; obtaining, by fine blanking, a set of teeth (116) at the thickened region.
