[0027] Referring to FIG. 1, which is a perspective view of a baby carrier 100 according to an embodiment. The baby carrier 100 can be mounted on a stroller, or can be mounted on a back seat of a car or sedan. The baby carrier 100 may be, but not limited to a carry cot, a car bed, etc. The baby carrier 100 includes a substantially oval-shaped bottom portion 10 and a body portion 12 surrounding a circumference of the bottom portion 10. The bottom portion 10 and the body portion 12 cooperatively form an accommodating space 14 configured to accommodate a baby to rest. In order to facilitate transportation, the baby carrier 100 further includes a handle 16. The arched handle 16 spans across the accommodating space 14, and both ends of the handle 16 are pivotally connected to tops of opposite two sides of the body portion 12, so as to facilitate lifting the entire baby carrier 100. When not being carried, the handle 16 can also be rotated and abutted against the body portion 12 to reduce a volume of the baby carrier 100. [0028] Referring to FIG. 2 to FIG. 4, a front surface of the bottom portion 10 is provided with two shoulder strap slots 11, two tongue accommodating grooves 13, and a buckle accommodating groove 15. The two shoulder strap slots 11 are arranged side by side at an upper portion of the bottom portion 10, which substantially corresponds to the baby’s shoulders. The two shoulder strap slots 11 allow two shoulder straps 32 to extend through. The two tongue accommodating grooves 13 are located on both sides of the bottom portion 10, respectively for accommodating tongues 34. The buckle accommodating groove 15 is located adjacent to a lower portion of the middle portion of the bottom portion 10 for accommodating a buckle 38. A rear side of the bottom portion 10 is further provided with a plurality of first fasteners 17.
[0029] Referring to FIGS. 4, 7 and 8, the baby carrier 100 further includes a mattress 102 provided on the bottom portion 10 and a fabric 122 provided on an inner side of the body portion 12. The mattress 102 is made of soft filling material, and the fabric 122 is also made of soft material, which can increase the comfort of the baby during lying or sitting. The mattress 102 is provided with a shoulder strap opening 104 corresponding to the shoulder strap slot 11, and the mattress 102 is provided with a crotch strap opening 106 corresponding to the buckle accommodating groove 15.
[0030] When the baby carrier 100 needs to be used in the car, a safety mechanism such as a belt 30 can be used to ensure the safety of the baby located in the accommodating space 14. Referring to FIGS. 4, 5, and 7, the belt 30 includes the shoulder strap 32, the tongue 34, a crotch strap 36, and a buckle 38. The shoulder strap 32 is mainly made of nylon or polyester fibers, and two shoulder strap 32 are provided in this embodiment. Each tongue 34 is provided at an end of the shoulder strap 32. One end of the crotch strap 36 is fixed on the bottom portion 10, the other end of the crotch strap 36 is connected to the buckle 38. In a first state, the left and right shoulder straps 32 and the tongues 34 is disposed from the rear side of the bottom portion 10 through the shoulder strap slots 11 and the shoulder strap openings 104 and are exposed in a top surface of the mattress 102. The buckle 38 and the crotch strap 36 are disposed through the crotch strap opening 106 and are also located on the top surface of the mattress 102. When the baby is lying down, the shoulder straps 32 can be passed around the baby's two shoulders, and the crotch strap 36 can be positioned between the baby's two legs. The two shoulder straps 32 and the crotch strap 36 are buckled together to achieve the connection by inserting and fixing the tongues 34 into the buckles 38. A riding stability and safety of the baby in the accommodating space 14 can be ensured through cooperative restraint of the shoulder strap 32 and the crotch strap 36.
[0031] Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 5, the rear side of the bottom portion 10 is further provided with a belt tightening device 40 disposed adjacent to a lower edge of the bottom portion 10. The left and right shoulder straps 32 provided on the rear side of the bottom portion 10 are connected to the belt tightening device 40 through an adjusting belt 39. On the one hand, the belt tightening device 40 can adjust a length of the shoulder strap 32 to adapt to a body shape of the baby, on the other hand, when the car encounters an emergency, the belt tightening device 40 also automatically locks the shoulder strap 32, thereby protecting the baby from injury caused by a secondary collision.
[0032] In order to prevent the excessively long shoulder strap 32 from causing a safety hazard, referring to FIG. 6, the rear side of the bottom portion 10 is also provided with a detachable protecting sheet 50. An edge of the protecting sheet 50 is provided with a plurality of second fasteners 52 corresponding to the plurality of first fasteners 17. The detachable connection between the protecting sheet 50 and the rear side of the bottom portion 10 can be achieved by a mutual buckling of the first fastener 17 and the second fastener 52. The shoulder strap 32 and the adjusting strap 39 can be fully covered by the protecting sheet 50, thus preventing the shoulder strap 32 from being stretched too long, which may cause suffocation of the baby when the baby's neck is wrapped by the shoulder strap 32. In this embodiment, the first fastener 17 and the second fastener 52 are male and female snap fasteners. It should be understood that, in other embodiments, the first fastener 17 and the second fastener 52 may also be fasteners such as hooks, Velcro, etc.. In this embodiment, the protecting sheet 50 is substantially a translucent mesh cloth. In other embodiments, the protecting sheet 50 can also be a rigid plastic sheet, and is detachably connected to the rear side of the bottom portion 10.
[0033] When the baby carrier 100 does not need to be used in the car, the belt 30 is a non- essential device, which can also be stored to avoid affecting the baby's sleep. Referring to FIG.7 and 8, in a second state, the shoulder straps 32 and the tongues 34 can be disposed through the shoulder strap openings 104 on the mattress 102 and are disposed on a bottom surface of the mattress 102, and the crotch strap 36 and the buckle 38 are disposed through the crotch strap opening 106 on the mattress 102 and are disposed on the bottom surface of the mattress 102. Next, the mattress 102 can be lifted from the bottom portion 10, and then the tongues 34 can be vertically inserted into the tongue accommodating grooves 13 of the bottom portion 10, and the buckle 38 can be placed in the corresponding buckle accommodating grooves 15 at the same time.
