Abstract

The invention is a disposable bag and sanitizer dispenser aimed for pet owners, to be used whenever necessary for hygienically collecting pet waste and sanitizing the user's hands. The disposable bag and sanitizer dispenser for pet owners is made up of a cylindrical casing (C) comprising two compartments, an upper compartment (1) and a lower compartment (2), joined by a thread (a), where the said upper compartment (1) is fixed with an cap (11) which has mounted an orifice (c) on which a spray head (3) is fixed, which is fitted with a nozzle (b) that disperses sanitizer outward and a protective cap (4); on the opposite end, on the inside of the dispenser, the upper compartment (1) is demarcated by a partition wall (5) fitted with a first bracket (6), linearly, on the opposite wall from the first bracket (6), on the bottom wall (7) of the lower compartment (2) there is a second bracket (6'), the two brackets supporting the roll of bags R, as said bags are extracted outward through a slit (d) on the lateral side of the lower compartment (2); the dispenser is attached to the pet's leash through a carabiner (8). In order for the upper compartment (1') to hold more sanitizer, it has a cylindrical extension (9), which is approximately as long as the lower compartment (2'); the disposable bag roll R is mounted on said cylindrical extension.

Description

  • The invention is a disposable bag and sanitizer dispenser aimed for pet owners, to be used whenever necessary for hygienically collecting pet waste and sanitizing the user's hands.
  • It is well-known that, when taking a pet out for a walk, especially if it is on a leash, the animal most of the times leaves waste behind. This is both unsightly, and illegal, especially in urban spaces, as also poses a major disease-spreading danger to people and other animals.
  • There are several methods to pick up this waste, from the classic scoop and dustpan to various waste scoops, but these don't fully lead to a truly safe removal.
  • The patent application EP3494783 describes an animal waste collecting device made up of a disposable container, a resilient sleeve that holds said disposable container and an attachment means for releasable attaching said disposable container with respect to said the sleeve, said sleeve having at least one openable end which is openable by compressing said device to reveal an opening for insertion of animal waste into said disposable container.
  • Patent US10028489 describes an animal waste collecting device made up of an expandable container that attaches to a pet owner's lower leg via hook and loop straps, said device has separate compartments for holding a roll of plastic bags and for holding the animal waste bags.
  • Document US2005263087 informs of a pet waste disposal device comprised of a waste bag dispenser with a delivery slit for delivering waste bags, a carrying pouch that holds filled waste bags, a panel that connects the bag dispenser to the carrying pouch, such that the pouch is positioned below the dispenser a sufficient distance, and a belt retainer attached to the pet waste disposal device.
  • The above-mentioned devices do not provide the user with the possibility to sanitize their hands after collecting and handling the waste bags, while strapping them to the user's body via straps is rather unhygienic, difficult, plus there is a possibility that they are forgotten in various places.
  • The technical problem solved by this invention consists of a post-collection hand sanitizer and disposable waste bag dispenser, with a possibility to refill said dispenser with sanitizer and plastic bag rolls, as said dispenser is always strapped to the animal's leash.
  • The dispenser as described in the claims is made up, in a first version, of a cylindrical casing comprising two compartments, a lower and an upper one, joined together through a thread; at one end, the upper compartment is provided with a spray head that dispenses sanitizer by spraying; said head threads into a hole in the upper compartment and can be detached from it to refill the upper compartment with sanitizer; the said spray head is protected by a cap at the other end; the said upper compartment is demarcated by a partition wall which, on the inside, is equipped with a first bracket which corresponds to a second bracket situated linearly on the inner wall of the lower end of the lower compartment, in such a way that the two brackets support a plastic bag roll, with said rolls being rolled and individually extracted through a slit on the lateral outside surface of the lower compartment; said dispenser can be attached to the animal's leash with a carabiner.
  • In a second version of the dispenser as per the invention, in order for the upper compartment to hold a higher amount of sanitizer, it includes a cylindrical extension on which the bag roll is mounted.
  • In a third version of the dispenser as per the invention, to ensure that the sanitizer stays in the upper compartment and to avoid accidental spraying, at one end, the said compartment is fitted with a cap into which a spray head is threaded, as the said spray head is equipped with a nozzle through which sanitizer is dispensed outward.
  • The benefits brought by this dispenser are:
    • it allows enhanced hygiene to the pet owner,
    • it allows for a civil collection of animal waste,
    • it is easy to use and to transport,
    • it cannot be forgotten when taking the pet out for a walk,
    • it can be reused by refilling it with sanitizer and disposable bags.
  • Below are two examples of hot the invention can be developed, in connection to figures 1-4, which show:
    • Fig. 1. Perspective view of the dispenser, in the first and the second option,
    • Fig. 2. Section of the first-version dispenser,
    • Fig. 3. Section of the second-version dispenser.
    • Fig. 4. Section of the third-version dispenser.
  • As per the invention, the disposable bag and sanitizer dispenser for pet owners is made up of a cylindrical casing C comprising two compartments, an upper compartment 1 and a lower compartment 2, joined together through a thread a.
  • The upper compartment 1 is designed to hold sanitizer and at one end is equipped with a spray head 3 fitted with a nozzle b through which the sanitizing liquid is dispersed. The spray head 3 threads into a hole c in the upper compartment 1, so that by detaching from it, when empty, the space within the upper compartment 1 can be refilled with sanitizer.
  • The spray head 3 is protected by a cap 4, thus avoiding unintentional spraying.
  • On the opposite end, inside the recipient, the upper compartment 1 is demarcated by a partition wall 5, which on outside, i.e. towards the lower compartment 2, is equipped with a first bracket 6. Linearly, on the opposite end from the first bracket 6, there is a second bracket 6', oriented towards the inside of the lower compartment 2, on the bottom wall 7. Therefore, when the two compartments 1 and 2 of the dispenser are joined together, brackets 6 and 6' support a roll R of disposable plastic bags inside the space of lower compartment 2.
  • As they are used, the plastic bags are rolled and extracted through an opening slit d on the lateral side of the lower compartment 2.
  • The dispenser can be attached to the pet's leash through a carabiner 8.
  • In the second version, the disposable bag and sanitizer dispenser for pet owners is made up of the cylindrical body C, which comprises the upper compartment 1' and the lower compartment 2'.
  • In order for the upper compartment 1' to hold more sanitizer, it has a cylindrical extension 9, which is approximately as long as the lower compartment 2'. In this version, the straw 10 attached to the spray head 3 will be longer, reaching all the way down into the cylindrical extension 9.
  • On this cylindrical extension 9 the disposable bag roll R will be mounted, and the bags will be extracted from the outside through the slit d on the lateral side of the lower compartment 2'.
  • In a third version, at the opposite end of the upper compartment 1' there is provided a cap 11 that cannot be screwed into the upper compartment 1' and in which it is mounted by screwing into the hole C, the spray head 3, provided with the nozzle b for the disinfectant liquid.
  • The dispenser can be attached to the animal's leash through a carabiner 8, which is preferably positioned on the side of the upper compartment 1, 1'.
