Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sliding door fitting with a running rail formed from at least two rail parts, on which at least one running track for a running roller of a running part for moving a sliding door is formed, with a profile joint connector having a connecting part being arranged between the rail parts, which has a running track section for the running roller trains, a piece of furniture and a method for installing a sliding door fitting.
- the EP 2 815 136 B1 discloses a sliding door fitting with a running rail formed from two rail parts.
- a profile connector is provided, which is fixed on the side facing away from the running track by being clamped to a receptacle by pivoting.
- Such a sliding door fitting has proven itself, however, with high weight loads, the track can lower, so that when the connecting area between the two rail parts is driven over, a small step is formed that the user notices.
- DE 20 2018 106 540 U1 proposed a bridging agent that has an additional track.
- a roller can first be moved along a rail part via a roller, the roller coming into engagement with an offset arranged additional track on the bridging means and being able to be moved on this until the roller reaches the other rail part.
- the formation of an additional track next to the track on the rail part increases the space required.
- the rail parts can only be assembled in the assembled state, so that the assembler only has to assemble a pre-fixed, assembled rail of great length, which is comparatively complex.
- the sliding door fitting according to the invention comprises a profile joint connector between the two rail parts, which has a connecting part which forms a track section for the roller, and a support part which supports the two rail parts at ends facing one another and to which the connecting part is fixed.
- the connecting part is preferably fixed to the support part by means of a plug-in connection and is selectively pushed in, pivoted in or hooked in, that is to say mounted without tools.
- the support part preferably has two spaced bearing surfaces, with a rail part being supported on each bearing surface.
- the bearing surface can partially reach under an underside of a rail part for such a support.
- the connecting part bridges a gap between the two rail parts with the running track section, the running track section being arranged on the rail parts as an extension of the running track.
- the track on the connecting part is not continued offset by an adjacent track section, which requires additional installation space, but the track section on the connecting part is arranged as an extension of the two tracks on the rail parts.
- at least one rail part can optionally have a recess or notch, into which a protruding part of the track section of the connecting part is inserted.
- the protruding part of the track section can be supported by the rail part. With a recess that runs through the raceway in the vertical direction is provided, the track section can be better aligned in height on the connecting part for optimal guidance of the roller.
- the connecting part can have at least one lateral projection, preferably at least one lateral projection on opposite sides, which at least partially covers a rail part on a vertical wall section. This improves the alignment of the connector.
- the support part can be fixed to at least one rail part by means of fastening means.
- a rail part and the support part can be fixed using the same fastening means, in particular on opposite sides of a panel-shaped top floor.
- the two rail parts preferably have two running tracks which, in the mounted position, are arranged vertically offset from one another, in particular are arranged essentially in the same plane in the vertical direction.
- the sliding door fitting can be constructed in a compact manner in the depth direction.
- the support part comprises a wall section which is vertical in the mounted position and against which a vertical section of each rail part rests.
- a mark or spacer may be provided on the support member to allow the rail members to be assembled at a predetermined distance.
- the distance preferably corresponds to a width of the connecting part, which can then be inserted between the end faces of the two rail parts.
- the connecting part can be mounted on the support part in a height-adjustable manner.
- the track can also be positioned exactly in the transition area on the connecting part.
- the bridging track section on the connecting part can optionally be linear and flat or slightly curved upwards so that the roller is slightly lifted when moving.
- the height adjustment of the connecting part can be used for fine adjustment to adapt to different door weights. Due to the elastic bending behavior of the tracks when the roller runs over them, the height ratios at the connection joint can vary slightly depending on the weight of the door. Due to the height adjustment, a general adjustment to the existing door weight can be made during the initial assembly or a readjustment after a certain setting behavior of the components after several years of use.
- a piece of furniture with a sliding door fitting is also provided, with the rail parts preferably being mounted on a top panel of a furniture body.
- the top panel can have an opening into which a threaded sleeve is inserted on one side and a screw, which is screwed to the threaded sleeve, is inserted on the opposite side.
- These fastening means can be used to fix the support part on the underside and a leg of a rail part on the top side of the top panel. If space is limited, the threaded sleeve can be inserted at the top of the top panel, whereby the threaded sleeve can optionally also be inserted at the bottom of the top panel.
- the supporting part can also be fixed with a section on the top side of the top panel instead of on the bottom side.
- a first rail part is fixed to the top panel
- a second rail part is fixed to the top panel
- a support part of a profile joint connector is fixed between the rail parts to the top panel.
- the order in which these steps are assembled is irrelevant, so the second rail part can also be assembled in front of the first rail part and the support part in front of the second rail part.
- the rail parts are fixed individually as separate components to the top floor and not as an assembled unit, which considerably simplifies assembly.
- the assembly of a single rail part on the top floor and the subsequent assembly in the assembled position makes handling easier.
- the connecting part is mounted only at the end of the assembly process, which is inserted, pivoted or hung in order to form a on the support part To be fixed continuous track for a roller between the two rail parts.
- a piece of furniture 1 comprises a furniture body 2 which is designed in the shape of a cabinet and has a panel-shaped top panel 20 on which a running rail 3 is mounted. Sliding doors 21 are held in a movable manner on the running rail 3 .
- a guide rail 15 is arranged on a floor of the furniture body 2 in order to guide the sliding doors 21 in the lower region.
- the sliding door fitting comprises two rail parts 3a and 3b on the top panel 20, which together form the running rail 3.
- a connecting part 5 is arranged between the rail parts 3a and 3b, which forms a running track section in extension of the actual running track 4, along which rollers of a running part can be moved.
- the two tracks 4 are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction, but can optionally also be positioned horizontally next to one another or vertically and horizontally offset from one another.
- the sliding door fitting on the top panel 20 is shown in detail.
- the sliding door fitting comprises a first rail part 3a and a second rail part 3b, each of which has one or more tracks 4 which are arranged in alignment with one another in the mounted position.
- a profile joint connector which comprises a connecting part 5 and a supporting part 6, is arranged between the two rail parts 3a and 3b.
- the support part 6 comprises an upper angular section with a horizontal web 60 which can be placed on an underside of the top floor 20 .
- One or more openings 61 are cut out on the web 60, in particular oblong holes, in order to be able to fix the support part 6 to the top panel 20 by means of fastening means.
- the support part 6 comprises a vertical wall section 62 in the installed position, on the underside of which there are two support webs spaced apart from one another 64 are formed, between which a receptacle for inserting a section of the connecting part 5 is formed. Also formed on the vertical wall portion 62 is an opening 63 for mounting the connector 5, which has a keyhole shape. In addition, a bent web 65 is formed, which is used to adjust the connecting part 5 .
- the connecting part 5 comprises an upper horizontal support bar 50 which rests on the top floor 20 in the mounted position.
- a web-shaped vertical wall section 51 extends downward from the supporting web 50, on which one or more running track sections 52 protruding forward are formed.
- Each raceway section 52 has essentially the same geometry as a raceway 4 on the running rail 3. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the raceways 4 and the raceway section 52 are curved upwards in cross section, but other raceway geometries can also be provided.
- Parts 53 project laterally on opposite sides of the track section 52 and extend the track section 52 to the side, with the parts 53 being insertable into notches 33 or receptacles on the track 4 .
- the raceway section 52 is made up of two parts 53 with a ramp-shaped contour, which incorporate a substantially linear section as an extension of this. After inserting the part 53 into the notch 33, the area at the end thereof is in a height direction below the height level of the track 4. As a result of the ramp-shaped contour, the roller experiences a harmonious transition when driving over the interface between track 4 and part 53 before it Reaching the linear section either remains essentially at the same height as when rolling on the track 4 or is slightly raised without a user noticing this.
- lateral projections 54 which, in the mounted position, form a front side of a rail part 3a or 3b partially cover and thus facilitate the alignment of the connecting part 5 relative to the rail parts 3a and 3b.
- the sliding door fitting is shown from an inside of the furniture body, and it can be seen that the connecting part 5 has a hook-shaped projection 55 on the vertical wall section 51 on a rear side, which can be inserted into the keyhole-shaped opening 63 of the support part 6 .
- an optionally provided rear projection 56 can be inserted through an opening 67 in the vertical wall section 62 of the support part 6 .
- the projection 56 comprises a horizontal web and a cylindrical body placed thereon.
- Fastening means in the form of a threaded sleeve 23 and a screw 24 are provided for mounting a rail part 3a and the support part 6, each of which has a widened head section for clamping.
- the threaded sleeve 23 is inserted through the opening 32 on the rail part 3a and the opening 22 in the top panel 20 and the screw 24 from below through the opening 61 in the support part 6 and into the opening 22 in the top panel 20, in order to then screw the screw 24 with the Threaded sleeve 23 to screw.
- the threaded sleeve 23 can also be inserted on the underside of the top panel 20 and the screw 24 can be inserted from the top, provided that there is sufficient space for assembly on the top side of the top panel 20 .
- both the support part 6 on the underside of the top panel 20 and the rail part 3a on the top side of the top panel 20 are clamped by the threaded sleeve 23 and the screw 24 .
- the rail part 3a comprises an upper support web 30 with the opening 32, in particular a slot, and a vertical web 31 on which the tracks 4 protrude.
- the rail parts 3a and 3b can be formed from a bent metal sheet, but they can also be made from aluminum or another material.
- the sliding door hardware is shown in a partially assembled position. It can be seen that the raceway section 52 of the connecting part 5, the track 4 is extended and arranged in alignment therewith. In addition, the connecting part 5 is aligned in a depth direction relative to the rail parts 3a and 3b by the lateral projections 54 .
- the support part 6 supports the lower track 4 with the support webs 64 . In order to prevent the rail part 3a from pivoting about a front edge of the top panel 20 , the support part 6 with the vertical wall section 62 also supports the two rail parts 3a and 3b in the area of the vertical webs 31 .
- the connecting part 5 is mounted on the support part 6 via the hook-shaped projection 55 inserted into the opening 63 and the projection 56 .
- the projection 56 rests on the web 65 or is indirectly supported on it in such a way that an opening on the web 65 and the essentially cylindrical body of the projection 56 are aligned.
- a screw 66 is provided, which is screwed into a thread on the underside of the web 65 and can raise the projection 56 via a stop, as is shown in FIGS Figures 7A and 7B is shown.
- the entire connecting part 5 moves upwards, so that the raceway section 52 can be aligned in the vertical direction relative to the raceways 4 on the rail parts 3a and 3b.
- the adjustment mechanism with the screw 66 which engages in an internal thread on the web 65 and raises or lowers the projection 56, can of course also be modified. For example, spacer elements can be inserted between the projection 56 and the web 65 for height adjustment.
- the screw 66 can be rotatably mounted on the web 65 by means of a bearing shoulder and a securing element, the threaded part engaging in the projection 56 and thus causing a height adjustment of the connecting part 5 when the screw 66 is turned.
- the connecting part 5 comprises a bar-shaped vertical wall section 51 which can be inserted into a receptacle on the support part 6 . Extending from this vertical wall section 51 are two raceway sections 52, each of which has a projecting part 53 at the side.
- the previously described contour of the running track section 52 makes it possible even when lowering of the track section 52 due to a weight load driving over is hardly noticed. It is also possible to design the track section with a slight upward curve instead of being linear.
- the connecting part 5 can be made of plastic or metal.
- FIG. 9A and 9B the upper floor 20 is shown, on which a first rail part 3b is mounted using fastening means, in particular screws which pass through openings on the supporting web 30.
- the rail part 3b is mounted individually, ie without connection to the second rail part 3a.
- the second rail part 3a is in accordance with Figures 10A and 10B likewise fixed individually to the top panel 20 by means of fasteners, in particular screws, which are inserted into openings on the supporting web 30 .
- the support member 6 is fixed to the top floor 20, as shown in FIGS Figures 11A to 11C is shown.
- a threaded sleeve 23 is inserted into the opening 32 of the rail part 3a on the upper side of the top panel 20, and a screw 24 is inserted from the underside into the opening 61 on the web 60, with the screw 24 being screwed to the threaded sleeve 23 both the rail part 3a and the support part 6 are fixed to the top floor 20.
- the alignment in the longitudinal direction takes place optionally via a spacer that is inserted between the rail parts 3a and 3b or is formed on the support part 6 .
- a marking or a scale can be fixed on the support part 6, which indicates to the installer at what distance the rail parts 3a and 3b are to be installed.
- the order of assembly with respect to the rail part 3a, 3b and the support part 6 is irrelevant.
- the support part 6 could also be fixed separately from the two rail parts 3a and 3b by a fastening means. The fitter can then freely choose which component to fit first and which last.
- the connecting part 5 is assembled at the end, as is shown in FIGS Figures 12A to 12C is shown.
- the connecting part 5 is assembled without tools by means of a plug-in connection, in which the hook-shaped projection 55 is inserted into the keyhole-shaped opening 63 and then lowered.
- the projection 56 reaches through the opening 67 on the vertical wall section 62 and can be placed on the web 65 .
- the height of the running track section 52 formed on the connecting part 5 can then optionally be adjusted via the screw 66, which is screwed into the internal thread of the web 65 and can thus raise the projection 56.
- other mechanisms for adjusting the height can also be used in order to align the connecting part 5 relative to the rail parts 3a and 3b.
- FIG. 13 the sliding door fitting is shown in an assembled position.
- a sliding door 21 hangs on one or more running parts 25 which each have at least one rotatable running roller 26 which can be moved along the running track 4 on the running rail 3 .
- the track is formed by the track section 52 of the connecting part 5.
- the roller 26 can be moved along the track 4.
- the track section 52 is arranged at the transition between the two rail parts 3a and 3b, which on the one hand bridges the gap between the two rail parts 3a and 3b and on the other hand is inserted with the protruding parts 53 into a notch or receptacle on the rail parts 3a and 3b.
- the roller 26 rests on the actual track 4 until it has reached the ramp-shaped contour of the track section 52 with the same height level. From this point in time, the roller 26 rolls on the track section 52.
- the roller 26 remains at the same level as on the actual track 4 or is lifted so slightly that the user cannot notice it.
- FIG. 15A to 15C a modified embodiment of a sliding door fitting is shown, in which no notch is formed on the rail parts 3a and 3b, but a continuous recess 33', which completely penetrates the track 4.
- the protruding part 53 on the connecting part 5 is inserted into the recess 33', and the connecting part 5 can now be better aligned in the vertical direction in order to achieve an exact transition between a rail part 3a or 3b and the connecting part 5 in the area of the track and the track section 52 to produce.
- this embodiment corresponds to the previous embodiment with regard to the design of the profile joint connector with the support part 6 and the connecting part 5.

The sliding door fitting according to the invention comprises a profile joint connector between the two rail parts, which has a connecting part which forms a track section for the roller, and a support part which supports the two rail parts at ends facing one another and to which the connecting part is fixed. As a result, the transition area between two rail parts can be better supported since the support part supports the rail parts, and the assembly of the connecting part is also simplified since it can be assembled on the support part. This two-part structure enables an optimized design of the profile butt connector.
The connecting part is preferably fixed to the support part by means of a plug-in connection and is selectively pushed in, pivoted in or hooked in, that is to say mounted without tools. As a result, after the rail parts and the support part have been installed, the installer can fix the connecting part via the plug-in connection, so that the additional installation work for the multi-part profile joint connector is minimized.
The support part preferably has two spaced bearing surfaces, with a rail part being supported on each bearing surface. The bearing surface can partially reach under an underside of a rail part for such a support.
In a further embodiment, the connecting part bridges a gap between the two rail parts with the running track section, the running track section being arranged on the rail parts as an extension of the running track. As a result, the track on the connecting part is not continued offset by an adjacent track section, which requires additional installation space, but the track section on the connecting part is arranged as an extension of the two tracks on the rail parts. In this case, at least one rail part can optionally have a recess or notch, into which a protruding part of the track section of the connecting part is inserted. In the case of a notch, the protruding part of the track section can be supported by the rail part. With a recess that runs through the raceway in the vertical direction is provided, the track section can be better aligned in height on the connecting part for optimal guidance of the roller.
For a stable connection between the connecting part and the rail parts, the connecting part can have at least one lateral projection, preferably at least one lateral projection on opposite sides, which at least partially covers a rail part on a vertical wall section. This improves the alignment of the connector.
For easy assembly, the support part can be fixed to at least one rail part by means of fastening means. For example, a rail part and the support part can be fixed using the same fastening means, in particular on opposite sides of a panel-shaped top floor.
The two rail parts preferably have two running tracks which, in the mounted position, are arranged vertically offset from one another, in particular are arranged essentially in the same plane in the vertical direction. As a result, the sliding door fitting can be constructed in a compact manner in the depth direction.
In a further embodiment, the support part comprises a wall section which is vertical in the mounted position and against which a vertical section of each rail part rests. As a result, the support part can not only support the rail parts on an underside to prevent movement in the vertical direction, but also support in the horizontal direction to prevent the rail parts from pivoting under a heavy weight load.
For ease of assembly, a mark or spacer may be provided on the support member to allow the rail members to be assembled at a predetermined distance. The distance preferably corresponds to a width of the connecting part, which can then be inserted between the end faces of the two rail parts.
For an optimized alignment, the connecting part can be mounted on the support part in a height-adjustable manner. As a result, the track can also be positioned exactly in the transition area on the connecting part. The bridging track section on the connecting part can optionally be linear and flat or slightly curved upwards so that the roller is slightly lifted when moving.
The height adjustment of the connecting part can be used for fine adjustment to adapt to different door weights.
According to the invention, a piece of furniture with a sliding door fitting is also provided, with the rail parts preferably being mounted on a top panel of a furniture body. For this purpose, the top panel can have an opening into which a threaded sleeve is inserted on one side and a screw, which is screwed to the threaded sleeve, is inserted on the opposite side. These fastening means can be used to fix the support part on the underside and a leg of a rail part on the top side of the top panel. If space is limited, the threaded sleeve can be inserted at the top of the top panel, whereby the threaded sleeve can optionally also be inserted at the bottom of the top panel. Alternatively, the supporting part can also be fixed with a section on the top side of the top panel instead of on the bottom side.
In the inventive method for installing a sliding door fitting, a first rail part is fixed to the top panel, a second rail part is fixed to the top panel, and a support part of a profile joint connector is fixed between the rail parts to the top panel. The order in which these steps are assembled is irrelevant, so the second rail part can also be assembled in front of the first rail part and the support part in front of the second rail part. In any case, the rail parts are fixed individually as separate components to the top floor and not as an assembled unit, which considerably simplifies assembly. The assembly of a single rail part on the top floor and the subsequent assembly in the assembled position makes handling easier. In any case, the connecting part is mounted only at the end of the assembly process, which is inserted, pivoted or hung in order to form a on the support part To be fixed continuous track for a roller between the two rail parts.
