Description

A LOCKING CONNECTING MEMBER
Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a locking connecting member which is fixed on a connecting bracket and which is used to lock cables made of movable rubber and plastic materials.
Background of the Invention
In motor vehicles, cables especially such as ABS cables must be fixed inside the vehicle without sagging or stretching onto the vehicle. In the current technique, there are brackets in certain parts of the vehicle for fixing the cables, which have a mouth portion for cable passage. However, the cables attached on these brackets cannot be locked on the bracket, and the cable can easily come off the bracket. In the current technique, there are cable holders which are for holding the cables together and fixing them and which are comprised of a mouth through which the cables can pass and a locking arm which is for locking the cables inside by covering the mouth. However, these cable holders cannot be fixed on the vehicle and on the brackets in the vehicle. Ideally, the movable cable should remain inside the bracket and maintain its position during its life.
United States patent document no US5301917A, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a cable holder which is used for holding parts such as brake cables and fixed on a bracket. In the said document, there are two parts closing on each other such that the bracket will remain in between in order to fix the holder to the bracket, and these parts are fixed on each other by tab locking method.
The Problems Solved with the Invention The objective of the present invention is to provide a locking connecting member which can be used by being placed on the bracket and which is used for fixing cables made of movable rubber and plastic materials on the bracket.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a locking connecting member which comprises a mechanism for locking the cable in the volume therein.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a locking connecting member which enables cables that are hard to fix on the vehicle such as ABS cables to be maintained in the suitable position.
Detailed Description of the Invention

A locking connecting member (1), which is used on being positioned on a connection bracket (A) for fixing the cables (K), comprises
at least one body (2) which has a cable hole (21) for accommodating the cables (K) on its inner side and an opening (22) for the entry and exit of the cables (K) therein from one side,
at least one channel hole (23) which is located on the side wall of the body (2) and used for passing the body (2) from its side part onto the bracket (A), at least one lock arm (3) which is used to secure the cables (K) in the cable hole (21) and which is collapsible onto the opening (22) on the body (2).
The locking connecting member (1) of the present invention is comprised of a body (2) having an opening (22) opening to the cable hole (21) therein on one side and a lock arm (3) being collapsible on the opening (22) through the body (2). There is a channel hole (23) located on the side wall on the side of the body (2) and perforating the side wall from one end to other end. The body (2) is passed onto the bracket (A) through the channel hole (23), and a cable recess (T) located on the bracket (A) is matched with the cable hole (21) of the body (2). The side part of the cable (K) is passed into the cable hole (2) of the body (2) through the opening (22) of the body (2) and the bracket (A) is passed onto the cable recess (T) when the lock (3) arm is open, and upon closing the lock arm (3), the cable (K) or the cables (K) are fixed inside the body (2) and the bracket (A).
The locking connecting member (1) of the present invention is used by being passed on the bracket (A) which is formed for fixing the cable (K) and has a cable recess (T) for holding the cable (K) it its one end. The body (2) is passed over the part of the bracket (A) where the cable recess (T) is provided by means of sliding movement through the part where the channel hole (23) is provided, and the cable recess (T) is aligned with the cable hole (21) on the body (2), and thus the body
(2) is fixed on the bracket (A). With this insertion process, the body (2) can only be removed from the bracket (A) by back-sliding movement. The cable (K) acts as a pin by means of the cable (K) being inserted into the cable hole (21) and the cable recess (T) of the bracket (A), and a locking is formed against sliding movement.
In one embodiment of the invention, the body (2) is U shaped, and the lock arm
(3) is provided on the part where the opening (22) is present.
In one embodiment of the invention, the channel hole (23) is provided on the side wall of the body (2), and it has a dimension such that the part of the bracket (A) where the cable recess (T) is provided can completely pass through. In one embodiment of the invention, the channel hole (23) is a space on the side wall of the body (2) which has a rectangular or rectangle-like shape. In an embodiment of the present invention, there are at least two guide surfaces (24) preferably parallel to each other extending from the side wall of the body (2) where the channel hole (23) is present to the opposite side wall of the body (2) so that the channel hole (23) remains in the middle. The part of the bracket (A) with the cable recess (T) is fixed between the guide surfaces (24) by being passed between them, and the body (2) can be fixed by the sliding movement of the body onto the bracket (A) together with the guide surfaces (24).
In an embodiment of the invention, there is at least one positioning member (26) which fixes the body (2) at the desired distance on the bracket (A) and limits the distance of the body (2) according to the surface on which the bracket (A) is fixed. The positioning member (26) is preferably provided on the body (2) in the form of a protrusion on the opposite side of the opening (22).
In one embodiment of the invention, there is a female piece (25) which is in form of at least one slot provided around the opening (22) of the body (2), and there is at least one male piece (31) which is in form of a jaw on the lock arm (3) used for matching the slot when the lock is in closed position. When the lock arm (3) is brought into the closed position (preferably pushed), the jaw of the male piece (31) is locked by engaging the female piece (25) which is provided on the on the body (2). Therefore, the lock arm (3) is fixed in closed position.
In an embodiment of the present invention, there is at least one tab (311) provided on the male piece (31) on the lock arm (3), which is used for locking process.
In one embodiment of the invention, there is a recess on the female piece (25) which the tab (311) fits into.
In one embodiment of the invention, there is a flexible member inside the slot form of the female piece (25). In this way, the male piece (31) can easily fit into the female piece (25). In an embodiment of the present invention, the male piece (31) on the lock arm (3) is connected to the female piece (25) on the body (2) by means of clips. In one embodiment of the invention, the lock arm (3) is fixed on the body (2) by means of a hinge from its on side. In one embodiment of the invention, the lock arm (3) is fixed on the body (2) by means of a joint connection from its on side.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the lock arm (3) is single piece with the body (2), the lock arm extends over the opening (22) through the body (2) and it can perform rotational movement over the part to which the body (2) is connected. It can realize rotational movement by means of its flexing ability.
In one embodiment of the invention, the body (2) and/or lock arm (3) is manufactured from plastic material.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the locking connecting member (1) is applied on the bracket secured to the vehicle and used for positioning the ABS cables.
