Abstract

The present invention relates to an electric motor comprising a body which constitutes the outer component, a rotor shaft group which constitutes the rotary component, a front cover and a rear cover which provide the isolation between the inner and outer environments, a foot which enables the body to be seated on a floor, a fan, marks on the fan, and a terminal box.

Description

    AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
  • The present invention relates to the determining of the direction of rotation in a motor having a fan.
  • Electric motors are composed of a fixed stator, a rotary rotor, stator windings and mechanical components which provide the grouping of these elements. During the duty cycle the motors emit thermal energy. In order to move this thermal energy away from the motor, fins on the motor body and a fan connected to the motor shaft can be used. The electric motors may rotate in either direction as per need. Although there are various methods to determine the direction of rotation during the production, there is no visual control method.
  • The methods which are applied nowadays are generally solutions which require sensors, and are not provided on the product, but used in the production lines. Said sensors which are expensive are not widely used. Therefore, the invisibility of the direction of rotation in the machines with which the product will be grouped causes various errors.
  • In the state of the art Patent Document No. RU2010153690, a method for determining the direction of rotation of the motor.
  • The aim of the present invention is to determine the direction of rotation of the motor by means of visual and mechanical methods without any additional costs.
  • The electric motor realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises fins on the body and a fan connected to the rotor shaft. In order to determine the direction of rotation by cameral controls and visually, by means of the visual guides which are formed in different axes as mold output or formed by painting on the fan, the direction of rotation of the motor can be easily determined in a spiral manner.
  • The electric motor comprises
  • a body which constitutes the outer component,
  • a rotor shaft group which constitutes the rotary component,
  • a front cover and a rear cover which provide the isolation between the inner and outer environments,
  • a foot which enables the body to be seated on a floor, a fan , marks on the fan , and a terminal box .
  • The electric motor comprises the rotor shaft group borne onto the front cover and the rear cover , and the fan grouped with said rotor shaft group . The electric motor may rotate in either direction depending on the electrical connection in the terminal box . The direction of rotation cannot be controlled visually during the operation of a motor. During the production sensors are used in order to determine the direction of rotation.
  • In the electric motor of the present invention, by means of the marks on the fan which are placed onto the fan in an offset manner with respect to each other in order to determine the direction of rotation, the spiral form relevant to the direction of rotation of the motor can be visually determined. Depending on the placement of the marks on the fan , the spiral form opens outwards or closes inwards.
  • In this embodiment of the present invention, the direction of rotation of the motor can be determined depending on the spiral form .

Claims (2)
