Claims (13)

  1. Method for supplying cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) to a plurality of workstations (4) of a textile machine producing cross-wound packages (1),
    at least two service units (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) that supply cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) to the workstations (4) being served by a feed device (11, 12) running the length of the machine,
    the service units (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) comprising handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) on the feed device (11, 12) and for receiving the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) from the feed device (11, 12),
    when a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) is requested by a service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C), a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) being assigned to said service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) and transferred to the feed device (11, 12),
    characterised in that
    the time at which the cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) is transferred to the feed device (11, 12), the transport speed of the feed device (11, 12) and the position and speed of the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) are recorded and evaluated, and
    in that the handling means of the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) are actuated depending on the evaluation in such a way that the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) receives its assigned cross-wound package tube (17, 17A).
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the evaluation comprises determining the time at which the handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) on the feed device (11, 12) should be activated.
  3. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the evaluation comprises calculating a target time at which the cross-wound package tube assigned to the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) will have reached the requesting service unit.
  4. Method according to claim 3, characterised in that a time window is placed around the target time, said time window defining the activation of the handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) on the feed device (11, 12).
  5. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that using the time of the transfer and the transport speed of the feed device (11, 12), the position on the feed device (11, 12) of the cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) assigned to the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) is determined.
  6. Method according to claim 5, characterised in that the handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) are activated at the latest when the spacing between the position of the cross-wound package (17, 17A) assigned to the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) and the position of the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) has dropped below a predetermined tolerance spacing.
  7. Method according to one of claims 5 or 6, characterised in that the handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) are activated at the earliest when there is no other cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) located between the cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) assigned to the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) and the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C).
  8. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that when a second service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) requests a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A), this service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) is assigned a second cross-wound package tube (17, 17A), which is transferred to the feed device (11, 12) regardless of the status of the request for the first cross-wound package tube (17, 17A).
  9. Method according to claim 8, characterised in that
    the time at which the second cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) is transferred to the feed device (11, 12), the transport speed of the feed device (11, 12) and the position of the requesting second service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) are recorded and evaluated, and
    in that the handling means of the requesting second service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) are actuated depending on the evaluation in such a way that the requesting second service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) receives its assigned cross-wound package tube (17, 17A).
  10. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) are not deployed if a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) not assigned to the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) is approaching said service unit.
  11. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the approach of a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) towards the receiving position of a requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) is recorded by means of a sensor.
  12. Method according to claim 11, characterised in that the evaluation is compared with the signals of the sensor.
  13. Textile machine producing cross-wound packages, for carrying out the method according to any of claims 1 to 12, comprising a plurality of workstations,
    at least two service units (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) that supply cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) to the workstations being served by a feed device (11, 12) running the length of the machine,
    the service units (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) comprising handling means for stopping the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) on the feed device (11, 12) and for receiving the cross-wound package tubes (17, 17A) from the feed device (11, 12),
    when a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) is requested by a service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C), a cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) being assigned to said service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) and transferred to the feed device (11, 12),
    the textile machine comprising a control device (14) for controlling the service units (5, 5A, 5B, 5C),
    characterised in that
    the control device (14) records and evaluates the time at which the cross-wound package tube (17, 17A) is transferred to the feed device (11, 12), the transport speed of the feed device (11, 12) and the position and speed of the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C), and
    in that the control device (14) actuates the handling means of the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) depending on the evaluation in such a way that the requesting service unit (5, 5A, 5B, 5C) receives its assigned cross-wound package tube (17, 17A).
