Abstract

The present invention relates to a cooking oven (10), in particular a domestic cooking oven (10), with at least one camera (26). The cooking oven (10) comprises an oven cavity (12) and a housing (18) enclosing partially said oven cavity (12). The camera (26) is arranged at the outer side of the housing (18) and directed into the interior of the oven cavity (12). An optical and/or insulating system (28) is arranged between the camera (28) and the oven cavity (12).

Description

  • The present invention relates to a cooking oven with at least one camera. In particular, the present invention relates to a domestic cooking oven with at least one camera.
  • Cooking ovens with cameras become more and more important. The camera allows a direct watching of food stuff prepared in the oven cavity. For example, the cameras are installed inside the housing of the cooking oven or within an oven door, where the temperature is high, so that a complex cooling system is required.
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide a cooking oven with a camera, wherein the camera is arranged within an area of low temperature.
  • The object is achieved by the cooking oven with at least one camera according to claim 1.
  • According to the present invention a cooking oven, in particular a domestic cooking oven, with at least one camera, is provided, wherein:
    • the cooking oven comprises an oven cavity,
    • the cooking oven comprises a housing enclosing partially said oven cavity,
    • the camera is arranged at the outer side of the housing and directed into the interior of the oven cavity, and
    • an optical and/or insulating system is arranged between the camera and the oven cavity.
  • The core of the present invention is the arrangement of the camera at the outer side of the housing, wherein said housing encloses the oven cavity. The temperature out of the housing is relative low. Said low temperature avoids damages of the camera.
  • In particular, the cooking oven comprises at least one cooling fan for generating a cooling airflow, wherein said cooling airflow passes the camera, and wherein preferably the cooling airflow at a low-pressure side of the cooling fan passes the camera.
  • For example, the cooling fan is arranged between the oven cavity and the housing, wherein preferably the cooling fan is arranged above the oven cavity.
  • Further, the cooking oven may be insertable into a furniture, wherein a part of the cooling airflow streams between the housing and said furniture, and wherein preferably a part of the cooling airflow at the low-pressure side of the cooling fan streams between the housing and the furniture.
  • Moreover, the cooling airflow at a high-pressure side of the cooling fan may stream between the housing and the oven cavity.
  • Preferably, the housing encloses substantially a top wall, a rear wall, a bottom wall and side walls of the oven cavity.
  • In particular, the optical and/or insulating system includes at least one optical lens arranged between the camera and the oven cavity. Said optical lens allows a bigger distance between the camera and the oven cavity.
  • Additionally, the optical and/or insulating system may include at least one thermally insulating material, e.g. aspen pyrogel.
  • Preferably, said thermally insulating material is arranged between the space around the camera and the oven cavity, so that the thermally insulating material does not form any obstacle between the camera and the oven cavity.
  • Further, the housing may include at least one niche extending inwards, wherein the camera is arranged within said niche.
  • For example, the camera is arranged at an upper and/or rear portion of the housing.
  • Furthermore, the cooking oven comprises at least one protection shield arranged in front of the camera or the optical and/or insulating system, respectively, wherein preferably said protection shield is fixable or fastened by a bayonet catch.
  • In particular, the protection shield includes a plurality of glass layers, wherein preferably at least one of the glass layers arranged closer to the optical and/or insulated system is coated by an infrared-refelcting coating.
  • Further, at least one of the glass layers arranged toward the oven cavity may be coated by an easily cleanable coating, preferably an oleophobic and/or hydrophilic coating.
  • Moreover, between the first and second glass layers beside the oven cavity a vacuum insulation may be provided, while an air flow is generated between the further layers beside the optical and/or insulating system.
  • At last, the cooking oven may comprise at least one slider for moving the protection shield and at least one razor blade or the like, wherein during the movement of the protection shield the surface of said protection shield is cleanable by the razor blade.

  • The cooking oven 10 comprises an oven cavity 12, an oven door 14 and a front panel 16. The oven door 14 is arranged at the front side of the cooking oven 10 and provided for opening and closing the oven cavity 12. The front panel 16 is arranged above the oven door 14.
  • Further, the cooking oven 10 comprises a housing 18 enclosing partially the oven cavity 12. In this example, the cooking oven 10 is arranged in a furniture 20. In general, the cooking oven 10 may be arranged within an arbitrary niche.
  • Moreover, the cooking oven 10 comprises a cooling fan 22 arranged above the oven cavity 12. The cooling fan 22 generates a cooling airflow 24. A first of said cooling airflow 24 is sucked in above the front panel 16 into the space between the housing 18 and the furniture 20. The first part of the cooling airflow 24 passes the top side of the housing and reaches the cooling fan 22. A second part of the cooling airflow 24 is sucked in beneath the oven door 14 into the space between the housing 18 and the furniture 20. The second part of the cooling airflow 24 passes the bottom side and the rear side of the housing 18 and reaches the cooling fan 22. The cooling airflow 24 is blown out between the oven door 14 and the front panel 16 by the cooling fan 22.
  • The camera 26 is attached at the housing 18. In this example, the camera 26 is arranged in the upper rear portion of the housing 18. The camera 26 is spaced from the oven cavity 12. The cooling airflow 24 passes the camera 26, in particular the electronic components of said camera 26. The camera 26 has a direct connection to the cooling airflow 24. The cooling airflow 24 provides convective heat transfer from the camera 26 to the air. For example, a tube, e.g. an aluminium tube, may be arranged between the cooling fan 22 and the camera 26 in order to improve the intensity of the cooling airflow 24 at said camera 26.
  • An optical system 28 is arranged between the camera 26 and the oven cavity 12. In this example, the optical system 28 includes three optical lenses 30. The material of the optical system 28 has a low heat conductivity, a low thermal capacity and a low mass. Thus, the optical system 28 avoids that too much heat would be transferred from the oven cavity 12 to the camera 26.
  • Preferably, the spaces between the optical lenses 30 are hollow. The shapes of the optical lenses 30 depend on the type of the camera 26, in particular on the type and size of the optical sensor of said camera 26.
  • Additionally, the cooking oven 10 comprises a protection shield 32. Said protection shield 32 is arranged in front of the optical system 28. For example, the protection shield 32 is fastened by a bayonet catch. The protection shield 32 is easily removeable. The protection shield 32 can be cleaned outside of the cooking oven 10 by the user. Preferably, the protection shield 32 includes double, triple or more layer glass. For example, the one or two layers arranged closer to the optical system 28 are coated by an infrared-reflecting coating. The layer arranged toward the oven cavity 12 may be coated by a coating, which is easy to clean, e.g. an oleophobic and/or hydrophilic coating. Between the first and second layers beside the oven cavity 12 a vacuum insulation may be provided. In contrast, between the second and third or further layers an air flow may be generated in order to avoid heat transfer to the optical system 28. Moreover, the protection shield 32 may be moved by a slider, wherein during said movement a razorblade or the like may clean the surface of the protection shield 32 by scraping the dirt off.
  • FIG 2 illustrates a schematic sectional side view of the cooking oven 10 with the camera 26 according to a second embodiment of the present invention.
  • The cooking oven 10 comprises the oven cavity 12, the oven door 14 and the front panel 16 arranged above said oven door 14. The cooking oven 10 comprises the housing 18 enclosing partially the oven cavity 12, wherein the cooking oven 10 is arranged in a furniture 20. In general, the cooking oven 10 may be arranged within an arbitrary niche.
  • Further, the cooking oven 10 comprises the cooling fan 22 arranged above the oven cavity 12. The cooling fan 22 generates the cooling airflow 24. The first part of said cooling airflow 24 is sucked in above the front panel 16 into the space between the housing 18 and the furniture 20, passes the top side of the housing and reaches the cooling fan 22. The second part of the cooling airflow 24 is sucked in beneath the oven door 14 into the space between the housing 18 and the furniture 20, passes the bottom side and the rear side of the housing 18 and reaches the cooling fan 22. At last, the cooling airflow 24 is blown out between the oven door 14 and the front panel 16 by the cooling fan 22.
  • The camera 26 is arranged in the upper rear portion of the housing 18. In this example, the distance between the camera 26 and the oven cavity 12 is relative small. The housing 18 includes a niche, in which the camera is arranged. Said niche extends inwardly.
  • The camera 26 has a direct connection to the cooling airflow 24 providing convective heat transfer from the camera 26 to the air. For example, the tube, e.g. aluminium tube, may be arranged between the cooling fan 22 and the camera 26 in order to improve the intensity of the cooling airflow 24 at said camera 26.
  • An insulating system 28 is arranged between the space around the camera 26 and the oven cavity 12. For example, the insulating system 28 includes insulating material, e.g. aspen pyrogel, in order to reduce heat conductivity.
  • The material of the housing 18 has low emissivity, e.g. less than 0.2, in order to reduce heat radiation from said housing 18 to the camera 26. For example, the material of the housing 18 is aluminium, polished aluminium, stainless steel or polished stainless steel.
  • The material of the insulated system 28 has a low heat conductivity, a low thermal capacity and a low mass. Thus, the insulating system 28 avoids that too much heat would be transferred from the oven cavity 12 to the camera 26.
  • At last, the cooking oven 10 comprises the protection shield 32 arranged in front of the optical system 28. For example, the protection shield 32 is fastened by a bayonet catch, so that the protection shield 32 is easily removeable. The protection shield 32 is cleanable outside of the cooking oven 10 by the user. In particular, the protection shield 32 includes double, triple or more glass layers. For example, the one or two glass layers arranged closer to the optical system 28 are coated by an infrared-reflecting coating, while the glass layer arranged toward the oven cavity 12 may be coated by a coating, which is easy to clean, e.g. an oleophobic coating. Between the first and second glass layers beside the oven cavity 12 a vacuum insulation may be provided, while an air flow may be generated between the second and third or further glass layers in order to avoid heat transfer to the optical system 28. Moreover, the protection shield 32 may be moved by a slider, wherein during said movement a razorblade or the like may clean the surface of the protection shield 32 by scraping the dirt off.
  • Although illustrative embodiments of the present invention have been described herein with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to those precise embodiment, and that various other changes and modifications may be affected therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the scope or spirit of the invention. All such changes and modifications are intended to be included within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Claims (15)

  1. A cooking oven (10), in particular a domestic cooking oven (10), with at least one camera (26), wherein:
    - the cooking oven (10) comprises an oven cavity (12),
    - the cooking oven (10) comprises a housing (18) enclosing partially said oven cavity (12),
    - the camera (26) is arranged at the outer side of the housing (18) and directed into the interior of the oven cavity (12), and
    - an optical and/or insulating system (28) is arranged between the camera (28) and the oven cavity (12).
  2. The cooking oven according to claim 1,
    characterised in that
    the cooking oven (10) comprises at least one cooling fan (22) for generating a cooling airflow (24), wherein said cooling airflow (24) passes the camera (26), preferaby wherein the cooling airflow (24) at a low-pressure side of the cooling fan (22) passes the camera (26).
  3. The cooking oven according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterised in that
    the cooling fan (22) is arranged between the oven cavity (12) and the housing (18), preferably wherein the cooling fan (22) is arranged above the oven cavity (12).
  4. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the cooking oven (10) is insertable into a furniture (20), wherein a part of the cooling airflow (24) streams between the housing (18) and said furniture (20), preferably wherein a part of the cooling airflow (24) at the low-pressure side of the cooling fan (22) streams between the housing (18) and the furniture (20).
  5. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the cooling airflow (24) at a high-pressure side of the cooling fan (22) streams between the housing (18) and the oven cavity (12).
  6. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the housing (18) encloses substantially a top wall, a rear wall, a bottom wall and side walls of the oven cavity (12).
  7. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the optical and/or insulating system (28) includes at least one optical lens (30) arranged between the camera (28) and the oven cavity (12).
  8. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the optical and/or insulating system (28) includes at least one thermally insulating material, e.g. aspen pyrogel, wherein preferably said thermally insulating material is arranged between the space around the camera (26) and the oven cavity (12).
  9. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the housing (18) includes at least one niche extending inwards, wherein the camera (26) is arranged within said niche.
  10. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the camera (26) is arranged at an upper and/or rear portion of the housing (18).
  11. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the cooking oven (10) comprises at least one protection shield (32) arranged in front of the camera (26) or the optical and/or insulating system (28), respectively, preferably wherein said protection shield (32) is fixable or fastened by a bayonet catch.
  12. The cooking oven according to claim 11,
    characterised in that
    the protection shield (32) includes a plurality of glass layers, preferably wherein at least one of the glass layers arranged closer to the optical and/or insulated system (28) is coated by infrared-reflecting coating.
  13. The cooking oven according to claim 12,
    characterised in that
    at least one of the glass layers arranged toward the oven cavity (12) is coated by an easily cleanable coating, preferably an oleophobic and/or hydrophilic coating.
  14. The cooking oven according to any one of the claims 11 to 13,
    characterised in that
    between the first and second glass layers beside the oven cavity (12) a vacuum insulation may be provided, while an air flow is generated between the further layers beside the optical and/or insulating system (28).
  15. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that
    the cooking oven (10) comprises at least one slider for moving the protection shield (32) and at least one razor blade or the like, wherein during the movement of the protection shield (32) the surface of said protection shield (32) is cleanable by the razor blade.
