Description

The present invention relates to a safety lighting device comprising a transparent tubular housing housing means for illuminating a visual signaling element, said housing being closed at its ends by a first and a second end of which at least one is designed able to allow electrical connection of said lighting means.

Conventionally, safety lighting devices, or autonomous safety lighting units, are intended to continue to broadcast a light signal in case of accidental interruption of normal lighting, and are therefore provided with means of autonomous power supply, such as a battery ensuring their operation in the event of a power failure. Current regulations require that they be placed in public places to allow the movement of people and, if necessary, to evacuate them by limiting any risk of panic. They must also allow, if necessary, the rapid arrival and consequently an effective intervention of the helpers.

In short, such devices act as beacons regularly distributed on a path extending between an emergency exit and an incident site and for this purpose include luminous indications enabling users to orient themselves promptly, including in the event of semi-darkness, or even complete darkness, in order to evacuate the premises or to go there, as regards rescuers and other interveners. Obviously, the lighting generated should preferably be uniform and such that it also allows the public to identify possible obstacles and changes of direction.

There are currently various models of autonomous safety lighting devices on the market, suitable for many situations and implementation constraints. Thus, it is for example possible to use parallelepiped or tubular shaped housings incorporating backlighting means a signage that includes at least one of their faces, and further comprising, in some cases, additional lighting means, external to the housing, and diffusing light to a given area.

The present invention relates more particularly to self-contained security lighting blocks of tubular form, adapted both to be fixed against a vertical partition and suspended to a horizontal wall.

In fact, the objective of the present invention is to propose a new model of a tubular type safety lighting device, the structure of which makes it possible at the same time to considerably simplify the operations related to their installation on a site, and to obtain, as appropriate, illumination of a single visual signaling element or two visual signaling elements oriented in opposite directions within the tubular housing. Another object of the invention and to improve the longevity of a tubular-type safety lighting device, while providing an irreproachable aesthetic.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a safety lighting device of the type indicated in the preamble, characterized in that it comprises at least one semicylindrical shell inserted into said tubular housing, said semicylindrical shell enclosing the lighting means , comprising at least one window allowing the passage of the light radiation emitted by the lighting means and having at its ends assembly means with respectively the first and the second end, while said visual signaling element is defined by a label provided with information, disposed between the tubular housing and an outer face of said semi-cylindrical shell, facing said window.

These allow the attachment of the first endpiece On the first hemi-cylindrical shell 5 and the second hull 21 on the second hemi-cylindrical shell 6 through, in each case, four screws 12 passing through orifices suitably formed on said first and second ends 20, 21.

The other end 51, 61 of each hemi-cylindrical shell 5, 6 is also also provided with a tubular member 54, 64 and this time allowing the attachment of the second tip 21 on the first hemi-cylindrical shell 5 and the first end 20 on the second hemispherical shell 6, through a screw 120 passing through an orifice formed appropriately on said first and second end pieces 20, 21.

The safety lighting device 1 according to the invention further comprises, interposed between each of the first end pieces 20, 21 and each of the flanges 52, 62 extending the hemispherical shells 5, 6, an annular printed circuit board 9 carrying at least a light-emitting diode which diffuses, in a homogeneous manner, via an annular light guide 11, an annular-shaped light, and a seal 12. This latter is in the form of a disc, bordered by a peripheral wall, and comprising, in the variant shown, two breakable zones 130. The rupture of one and / or the other of these causes the formation of one or two holes for the passage of one or two electrical connection cables.

3).Furthermore, each of said first and second end pieces 20, 21 also comprises two orifices 13 situated opposite the breakable zones 130 of the gasket 12 and allowing the passage of one or two cables for the electrical connection of the light emitting diodes carried by said at least one printed circuit board 3, and intended to be connected to a connector 14 integral with said printed circuit board 3 (cf. Fig. 3 ).

Thanks to the structure of the safety lighting device 1 which has just been described, the electrical connection thereof is simplified. Furthermore, this structure advantageously avoids the use of an external junction box in case of serial connection of several devices 1 according to the invention, and therefore to simplify the electrical wiring operations.

The latter then remains fixed to the first hemi-cylindrical shell 5 and forms with the latter a first module 24 which can be separated from a second module 25 formed by the second Hemi-cylindrical shell 6 and the second nozzle 21. Thus, the first module 24 and / or the second module 25 can be at least partially extracted from the tubular housing 2. This makes it possible to provide access to the connector 14 secured to the printed circuit board 3 to connect an electric cable introduced through one of the orifices 13 that comprise the first and second end pieces 20, 21, and through an orifice of the seal 12. At the same time, a series electrical connection of a first safety lighting device 1 with a second safety lighting device 1 may optionally be performed, by connecting to the connector 14 a second electric cable introduced through the second orifice 13 that comprises the end pieces 20, 21, and through the second orifice formed in the joint 12 after rupture of the second breakable zone 130.

As illustrated in figures 2 and 4 the two hemicylindrical hulls 5, 6 also have means for holding in position in front of the window 8 of the label 4 (not shown in FIG. figure 4 for reasons of readability).

For this purpose, each of the two hemicylindrical hulls 5, 6 comprises two "L" -shaped rims 140 extending perpendicularly to each of its longitudinal edges, from its outer face 70. In fact, said "L" -shaped edges 140 are sparing on each shell 5, 6 two longitudinal slides 17, extending on either side of said shell 5, 6 between its outer face 70 and a wall 18 of the flange 14 in "L". Each of the slides 17 is further provided with a row of tabs 19 extending from its bottom, in a plane parallel to the wall 18 of the flange 14 at "L", the upper end of at least some of said tabs 19. being connected to the outer face 70 of the semi-cylindrical shell 5, 6 through an arcuate tongue 22 extending in a plane perpendicular to said tabs 19.

Furthermore, in the embodiment shown, the tabs 19 and tabs arcuate 22 of each of the slides 17 are located opposite each other.

Such a structure makes it possible to provide on each of the slides 17, between the wall 18 of each rim 14 in "L" and the tabs 19, a gap 23 whose width substantially corresponds to the thickness of a label 4 and in which the Longitudinal songs of the latter can be engaged. The label 4 thus disposed is then not only locked in position facing the window 8 but also pressed against the arcuate tongues 22, which avoids any possible deformation of the label 4 which could adversely affect its longevity and its aesthetic appearance.

It is thus clear from the foregoing that the invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives set in the preamble, namely in particular to facilitate the electrical connection of a tubular-type safety lighting device by allowing access to the space between the two hemicylindrical hulls 5, 6 by one or the other of the end pieces 20, 21 and improve its longevity and its aesthetic appearance, by providing means for maintaining in position the visual signaling element / elements avoiding that it (s) does not move (s) or deforms (s). Moreover, it is advantageously possible to obtain, as the case may be, illumination of a single visual signaling element or of two visual signaling elements oriented in opposite directions inside the tubular housing.

Thus, to allow the reading of two labels 4 oriented in opposite directions on either side of a tubular housing 2, which is particularly advantageous for using the same safety lighting device 1 to mark a path go and a return path, it is possible to provide that the tubular body 7 formed by the two hemicylindrical shells 5, 6, encloses two printed circuit boards 3 each carrying at least one light emitting diode oriented for one towards a window 8 that has the first hemi-cylindrical shell 5 and for the other to a window 8 that includes the second hemi-cylindrical shell 6.
