Die Erfindung betrifft eine Abdeckleiste (10) zum Anbringen an einem Einbauteil (1), beispielsweise einem Fenster- oder Türstock, am Übergang zu einem angrenzenden Wand- oder Putzbereich (2), mit einem Deckprofil (11), das am Einbauteil (1) befestigbar ist. - teilweises Entfernen des Ortschaums eingangs des Spaltes zwischen dem Einbauteil und dem Wand- oder Putzbereich zur Herstellung einer im Querschnitt keilförmigen Aufnahme,
- Entfernen einer Abdeckfolie vom dauerelastischen Klebstoffwulst,
- Ankleben des dauerelastischen Klebstoffwulstes am Wand- oder Putzbereich in der keilförmigen Aufnahme,
- Entfernen einer Abdeckfolie von einem Klebeband am ersten Randbereich der Dichtlasche, sowie
- Hochklappen des Deckprofils und Ankleben des Klebebandes am Einbauteil.
