Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a handle system for a wing of a window or door and an installation method thereof.
  • the invention is applied in the field of locks provided with a push-pull control, i.e. a control capable of converting the pushing or pulling movement of a handle into a rotational motion applied to the so-called handle follower, which in turn controls the translation of a closing element, typically a latch or a bolt.
  • a push-pull control i.e. a control capable of converting the pushing or pulling movement of a handle into a rotational motion applied to the so-called handle follower, which in turn controls the translation of a closing element, typically a latch or a bolt.
  • a lock provided with push-pull control already the subject matter of a previous patent document in the name of the same Applicant, has the advantage of leaving complete freedom as to the shape of the handle to be used, since the latter must only receive pushing or pulling forces and no longer rotational ones.
  • the present invention is applied in the field of windows and doors in general.
  • the windows and doors used to close off access to the rooms of a building are fitted with locks provided with a latch and/or bolt.
  • a first type of lock comprises a lock body suitable for being inserted into a housing of a wing of a window or door.
  • the lock body is provided with an actuator assembly for slidingly moving a closing element, for example a latch, between a configuration in which it is retracted inside the lock body and a configuration in which it is extracted from the lock body, so that it may engage in a corresponding latch hole fashioned in one of the vertical uprights, or jambs, making up the fixed part of a window or door.
  • a closing element for example a latch
  • the latch is generally provided with an inclined surface suitable for abutting against and sliding over an edge of a striking plate installed on the fixed vertical upright of a window or door, said inclined surface thus bringing about the retraction of the latch into the lock body during the wing closing phase.
  • the latch is opposed by a spring which tends to maintain it in a configuration in which it is normally extracted from the box-shaped body; therefore, after coming to abut against the edge of the striking plate and being retracted into the lock body until passing the aforesaid edge of the striking plate, the latch is brought back into the extracted configuration by the spring, so that it can be inserted into the latch hole fashioned on the fixed upright of the window or door and thus bring about the closing of the window or door.
  • the Applicant has developed a lock provided with a push-pull control capable of converting the pushing or pulling movement exerted on a handle into a rotational motion applied to the so-called handle follower which controls the sliding of the latch.
  • a lock assures greater freedom in the shape of the handle to be used, while simultaneously offering a simple and immediate operation.
  • a lock provided with push-pull control comprises a lock body and a latch movable between an extracted configuration and a configuration in which it is retracted inside the lock body.
  • the lock is provided with a latch actuator assembly comprising an actuator member, typically a hollow body defining the so-called handle follower, which is movable by rotation between two operating positions which correspond, respectively, to the aforesaid extracted and retracted configurations of the latch.
  • the actuator assembly comprises a control member kinematically connected to the actuator member in order to control the rotation thereof; in particular, the control member is movable along a direction of translation between two operating positions corresponding, respectively, to the rotated operating positions of the actuator member, which, in turn, correspond to the extracted and retracted configurations of the closing element.
  • the control member receives the pushing or pulling action via the handle.
  • the control member has dimensions such as to slide inside the hollow body.
  • the control member is a piston.
  • the interaction between the control member (piston) and the actuator member (handle follower) takes place through a cam with a partial helical surface and integral with the control member, said cam slidingly intercepting a cam follower element integral with the actuator member; therefore, as a result of the sliding of the cam follower element inside the cam, the translation movement of the control member is converted into a rotation movement of the actuator member.
  • the handle is positioned and fixed onto the wing in such a way as to interact with the control member.
  • the pushing or pulling movement exerted on the actuator assembly by the handle causes shifts and oscillations, even if minimal, of the lock body in the direction of application of the force, thus reducing the working stroke of the control member and diminishing, therefore, the effectiveness of the actuation of the lock.
  • the lock body is inserted into a cavity fashioned on the front surface of the movable part of the window or door, typically a wing, according to a direction of insertion that is substantially parallel to the sliding direction of the closing element, for example a latch.
  • the lock body is kept in position by means of a pair of screws that fix a front plate of the box-shaped body to the front surface of the wing.
  • the box-shaped body of the lock can be subjected to shifts or oscillations in a direction orthogonal to the direction of insertion, which typically also coincides with the direction of fastening defined by the screws.
  • the pushing or pulling force determines a movement of the control member, but also a simultaneous movement of the lock body, so that the working stroke of the control member inside the handle follower is reduced, with a consequent decline of effectiveness in the operation of the latch.
  • the handle is instead installed with reference to the openings for accessing the cavity housing the lock body in the wing, it not being possible to align the handle relative to the control member.
  • Prior art document KR20110036425 is also known and it discloses a door lock comprising a first fixing unit, a second fixing unit, a movable member, a pressing unit, a pulling unit, a latch case, a locking bar, a door lock unit, a latch bolt, a latch-bolt moving unit, and a return spring.
  • the technical task underlying the present invention is to provide a handle system for a wing of a window or door and an installation method thereof which overcome the drawbacks of the above-mentioned prior art.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a handle system which can be precisely aligned with the control member.
  • a further object of the present invention is to provide a handle system able to assure ample freedom of installation, in such a way as to eliminate or minimise the design constraints for individual operators, that is to say, manufacturers of locks, handles or of windows and doors.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide an installation method that enables the handle system to be rapidly mounted on the wing of a window or door.

    - préparer un corps de serrure (2) du type comprenant un élément de fermeture (3) mobile entre une configuration dans laquelle il est extrait du corps de serrure (2) et une configuration dans laquelle il est rétracté à l'intérieur du corps de serrure (2) et un élément de commande (4) relié cinématiquement à l'élément de fermeture (3) et pouvant être soumis à une force de poussée ou de traction pour effectuer une translation entre au moins deux positions de fonctionnement correspondant respectivement aux configurations extraite et rétractée de l'élément de fermeture (3) ;
    - insérer le corps de serrure (2) dans un siège formé à un avant du battant (D) ;
    - pousser le corps de serrure (2) dans le siège jusqu'à ce que l'élément de commande (4) soit accessible par des ouvertures ménagées sur des côtés opposés du battant (D) ;
    - associer lesdits moyens d'espacement (103) à des positions opposées par rapport au corps de serrure (2) ;
    - positionner les éléments de base (101a, 101b) au niveau desdites ouvertures de telle sorte que lesdits moyens d'espacement (103) soient interposés entre les éléments de base (101a, 101b) et le corps de serrure (2) ;
    - fixer solidairement les éléments de base (101a, 101b) et le corps de verrou (2) au battant (D) ;
    - connecter les éléments préhensibles (102a, 102b) aux éléments de base respectifs (101a, 101b) de telle sorte que chaque élément préhensible (102a, 102b) exerce une force de poussée ou de traction sur l'élément de commande (4) afin de provoquer la translation de celui-ci ;
    - générer sur le corps de serrure (2), au moyen desdits moyens d'espacement (103), une contrainte en réaction à la force de poussée ou de traction exercée sur l'élément de commande par lesdits éléments préhensibles (102a, 102b), de manière à empêcher un déplacement du corps de serrure (2) de sorte que celui-ci soit maintenu dans une position stable pendant l'application de ladite force.
  15. Procédé selon la revendication 14, comprenant l'étape de centrage de chaque élément préhensible (102a, 102b) par rapport à une référence de l'élément de commande (4).
